Why not some sort of tether? Like a really big balloon in a high part of the atmosphere that lowers a small pod with crew in it to the surface then they get back in get raised up and the rocket takes off from the balloon.

It makes it nearly impossible to transfer to airless moons. Especially ones with tight orbits and high orbital velocities because you need to burn VERY retrograde. That's why Laythe aerobrakes are being recommended.

Well, that was only a theory... But if we had a larger one (much more expensive) could we make a ring if it was perfectly spherical? I mean if the problem is changes in gravity because of density and shape. It would be a neat little thing to have a huge iron ball with a ring.

Speaking of micro-gravity tests... Would that work? I mean if they brought up a 60cm perfectly spherical ball of some dense material like iron to the ISS would they be able to orbit tiny things around it? Could they test rings on globes made of iron or filled with osmium?

I actually asked my science teacher about this and she said for iodine to be purple there has to be a starch reaction or something. So unless eve has something to react with it cant be iodine unless its oceans or something are made of it.

I would go with MJ 2 It docks auto but it wastes a LOT of RCS so I just rendezvous and dock manually. Other than that looks good.

Hmmmm... I'm not sure if you keep your lateral ground velocity 0 and since its in a geostationary should they not have the same velocity? maybe I'm wrong but I am about to go to sleep and have no time to test it.

So I had a thought, if something was in a geostationary orbit and you lunched something up to dock to it would you need to get an orbit? I mean you would have to go slightly west to account for the slow rotation. But would this be possible?

I think a voting system is best, you propose a warp and amount of time for warp and the server checks if everyone is eligible for warp (not moving, in any stable orbit or prelaunch) then starts a vote if everyone agrees there it goes! But I always imagine multiplayer as semi competitive coop with my friend.
