  1. I don\'t think strikethroughs are possible. I put in, as an alternative In fact, I like that one so much, I\'m putting it in my sig.
  2. Haha, yep. I was thinking something very similar to those, albeit smaller. I\'ve added all of your descriptions, except for the external tank, as it currently doesn\'t exist. Here\'s the external battery. Any resemblance to a normal automobile battery is purely coincidental. This allows the smallest possible craft, using these parts. *ignore distorted panels
  3. I like it! I\'ll add that in a bit. Just finishing up the external battery
  4. That\'s awesome. I love the idea of a shoddy home electricals corporation making spacecraft parts of dubious safety
  5. Indeed it is. I\'m going to go get to work on the external battery (Basically just one of the units you see in the the main battery on its own). Thanks so much for this. EDIT: Finished external battery modelling.
  6. That\'s amazing. I will credit you as a co-author on all parts you write descriptions for.
  7. Thanks. You don\'t have to do it if you don\'t want to. I\'m just throwing it out there if someone wants to. IN OTHER NEWS: New version released, with highly unbalanced parts. Grab it in the new OP
  8. Thanks! IN OTHER NEWS I finished the VASIMR engine. Here\'s a clip of the emissive effects on this I\'ll probably release another indev version soon. At some point, I\'ll need to write descriptions for these parts. Unfortunately, I can\'t write, so I\'m throwing it out there if any of you want to write humourous, kerbal-style descriptions for these parts. If I like them (i\'m very easy to please), then I\'ll throw them in Also, once I get a roughly-balanced version of the pack out, more fine balancing will be required, so input is appreciated on that front. Also: teaser pics
  9. I\'m thinking something very similar to a household radiator duct-taped to another household radiator and held radially outward. I won\'t be doing those for a while though. In the meantime, I\'ll bundle powertech radiators. Currently, for some reason, the nuclear reactor animation doesn\'t work in-game, so i wonder if it\'s only engines that can have it. On today\'s to-do-list, however, is UV-unwrapping and texturing the VASIMR, and 0.5m spherical external xenon tanks. If I have time, I\'ll do an external battery that\'s basically a car battery bolted on.
  10. You are LORD of the robotics. Good show, as always!
  11. Same. I don\'t even know where to begin with that.
  12. No. There\'s no point without refueling. The uranium will way outlast the Xenon in the tanks In OTHER NEWS: I\'ve finished texturing the nuke, and CardboardBoxProcessor has shown me how to do emissive animations, so expect glowy bits on the ion engines and the nuke.
  13. Quick showcase: an assembled VASIMR craft (minus radiators, which will be required on any high-energy ion craft)
  14. I\'ll ask around. Thanks for your help, though, seriously. You\'re an extremely helpful person. In other news: Modelling completed I took heavy inspiration from the Gadget I\'ll get to work UV unwrapping then. That\'s the worst part.
  15. I\'m going to steer clear of normal mapping for now. I know how to apply emissive shaders, but I don\'t know how to make that shader animated, the way KSP wants it. Thanks, though.
  16. Oh, man. If I could get blue glowing working, I could do some cool things... I like the gadget look, and had been going for something similar. My basic outline shape:
  17. Well, thanks for the compliments, guys. I\'m about to start on the Nuclear reactor. I don\'t really have any idea for what it should look like. Anyone have any suggestions?
  18. Oh, that would be SO horrible. I can\'t imagine the PAIN i\'d be in if I were hired by SQUAD while still in HIGH SCHOOL. THE HORROR! But it won\'t happen. There are modmakers far more talented than me (Tiberion, Tosh, Alchemist, etc).
  19. Status update: I\'ve finished modelling the VASIMR engine. I\'ll UV map and texture it later, though maybe not today. With battery and Xenon Tank Today, I\'ll model the nuclear reactor that will power the VASIMR thruster, as it will need a TON of power. Solar panels will only suffice in large numbers for short periods. The VASIMR thruster will have a thrust of 15-20, and burn Xenon 3 times as fast.
  20. The line art is a lot cleaner than your prevous work, and the colors and grasp of form far more solid. Good work!
