Yes I should have elaborated. I don't have any desire to pour over mass ratios and dv calculations, have yet to do one, been everywhere. I much prefer to focus on making something look cool and then work out how to make it fly. It's served me well so far! So apart from maybe a 2 launch mission to Jool and laythe I wont be delving into those kinds of missions.

Dude you can strut between those two tanks in the gap between them. That way they are hidden.

Hey man! I've been trying to build an Orion too. Some honest observations of yours I could make: The reaction wheel on the nose looks crappy, use a smaller one and hide it inside. As far as I know, the Orion had a passenger section forward and a midship cargo hold. Also, The Orion has a smooth transition from the fuselage to the wings. I had a devil of a time getting it looking acceptably true to the original and having enough thrust. Good luck matey!

Ugh... Guys build how you want to build. Not to some arbitrary set of 'rules'. Having said that, all the most impressive, imaginative craft I've seen use some form of part clipping.

HI Rune, that looks cool using the bays as a fairing, but you say it can go anywhere in a single shot but then you say it needs a refueling depot to meet in orbit and then another one at the destination? That's quite a requirement! Could this be done truly in "a single shot"?

Sweet! so here they are together! The size difference was surprising. I had a look around your rocket Gus and its very nice indeed, She flies beautifully! I tried to launch them together but attaching them did something odd to the staging.. Just so everyone knows, the larger more realistic sized Saturn V is Gusturbo's. If you like it, and you should its ace then rep him for it!
