  1. Lol, that's ok. I'm just happy you liked it. The part count is around 350 if I remember correctly. Thank you Frank_G! She's a cutie ain't she! That's awesome! I'm very happy to have inspired you. I look forward to seeing what you come up with! :-) thanks mate. I'm not much for stories.. You should man, what I saw looked really promising!
  2. Ok, cool! It is taller than my lander but its because yours is two stage. I tried to make this one two stage but its too small and I didn't want to make it bigger. Have a go at a rocket for yours man.
  3. I have thought about making an N-1 to go with it or maybe a teeny tiny skylab. Not sure yet. This lander is a little taller than a Kerbal so yours would be perfect in size me thinks.
  4. That's really impressive man. Your craft are staggeringly efficient and so cool looking!
  5. Ooh you working on a mini Saturn V? Thanks man. I'm really happy you like it!
  6. Lol, when I go out it will be speaking the Queen's. The room is something I made for someone, in another form.
  7. Lol, yup! Thanks for the replies. She is a really nice rocket to fly, stable and responsive. I am going to make some weight lifting test as there is dv to play with.
  8. Hi all, So, Jeb was given a really cool scale replica of an Apollo lander for Khristmas this year. He was rightly chuffed to bits with this awesome gift. Alas after a while he grew bored of just looking at it and hatched a plan to do something cool with it. He decided to make a Radio controlled Saturn V to send it to the Mun! So he retro fitted an Ion engine that he 'borrowed' from the VAB and slapped on a couple of solar panels. After this he painstakingly hand crafted the Saturn V complete with correct staging, retro and ullage motors, a CSM, an interstage ring and a working payload faring. Jeb is rightly proud of his creation and took some photos of his fantastical Mun mission for you. Here he is in the control room before lift off: And Lift off! Center engine cuts off first First stage and interstage separation Second stage firing green across the board Second stage retros firing Fairings jettisoned and CSM turned and docked pulls the lander free Mun descent Success! Now, you are free to leave the lander probe on the Mun and use its many DVs to explore the surface more. Or you can fly the Lander back to the CSM and bring it back home to Jeb. The lander has a built in parachute. Jeb removed some xenon from the lander as it had too much DV but you can put it all back and fly to many different Mun locations before bringing it back home. So there it is. Phew, finally. Jeb had a bit of trouble with the fairing, he rebuilt it many times.. It now releases cleanly if not a little fast. But its a clean release so he's happy. The rocket itself is very easy to fly. Head up, turn at around 200m/s to 45 degrees, stage when required and aim for a 100,000km orbit or there about. The third stage circularizes and then shoots you to the Mun to crash into it along with the fairing, leaving this a debris free mission. Action group 1 stages the escape tower. Abort will blast the lander free along with the CSM. Just make sure you land during the day so the Ions have enough juice. Happy flying! MJ DOWNLOAD
  9. You are missing out man. All the big name builders I know on this forum use it. Its a great little tool.
  10. I'm not accusing you matey. Just looks very similar. Yours has some nice design touches.
  11. This is amazing Squad! Everything's coming together. I will miss making custom fairings but even I concede they are much needed. Yes, Snuggler, you where right..
  12. Seee! He just needed to believe in himself. This is hilarious and awesome!
  13. Here is my new SSTO, Eagle-1 and the Eaglet ion mun shuttle. And a video of a full mission: My vote so far is for Overfloater's Heavy cargo SSTJ. The master of possibilities.
  14. Nope, nope. I think it's the aero update. V as in V2
  15. I'm fairly certain it's the deep space refuelling thing that's coming.
  16. The bearing? Well the example craft is there to answer that exact question. When you load the craft simply press spacebar then turn it using the arrow keys. the large reaction wheel makes it able to turn. MJ
  17. Good effort man. For choppers the only thing that really works are the landing gears, give them a go!
  18. Very nice man! The fairing looks great. So this is the rocket and the three piece base? in what manner do the three pieces land on the Mun?
