  1. I think there are some IVA mods for the capsules. I don't remember what they are called though..
  2. An absolute pleasure! Let me know how you get on with it. I had to add a LOT of surfaces to make it glide so the launcher is thrown off by this. Its totally controllable, just takes practice.
  3. Hi all, Just dropping by to share my Batman Tumbler. I updated the first post Thanks!! MJ
  4. As someone who pilots boats for a living, I approve heartily of this! Now I want Jet bow thrusters on my boat! Damn your talents!
  5. Thanks xokight! Thank you too! Its really fun to drive too! Ha ha! never!
  6. Hi all! Today I would like to share with you my newly completed Batman Tumbler. I spent a long time fiddling with the design. Its a very complex shape to recreate. Plus we don't have any usable larger wheels. The RoveMax Model XL3 wheels have no grip unless they are more or less vertical. And I wanted this thing to be drivable. So I have stuck with the TR-2L Ruggedized wheels for the front and back. Its a compromise but a necessary one. Due to the smaller rear wheels I had to change the rear a little as in RL the whole rear section is just wheels. It drives great and is very stable. It has a little motor that can give you a boost for jumps! I have jumped the runway and survived intact in it. I also flew this thing to the mun, all legit, and roved around. Its definably better on Kerbin! I tried to jump a crater and made a video of that too. There are two seats and I little interior cockpit. Let me know how you get on. *NOTES* Load up your crew from the pod and off you go! The front headlights are controlled using action group 1 Pressing U activates the blinding power of batman's light defense mechanism And slow your FPS, use sparingly For the love of Jeb, don't press g Or do.. Thanks for looking. MJ DOWNLOAD
  7. I see, that explains it. For the benefit of Anglo/French relations, I forgive your seemingly harsh words. MJ
  8. That's a bit harsh Dakitess. Gus has used 'design techniques' to create a complex and very clever Apollo replica. Using part clipping is not a cheat. You still have the same mass issues and it also throws up a lot of other issues making it not an easy solution. And as far as I'm aware "cheating" is defined as gaining an advantage or to make something easier. Part clipping does none of those things. Oh and Gus, that fairing is glorious. A work of art mate.
  9. This is amazing! Ive been wanting more precise angle snapping for ages! 5 degrees just isn't accurate enough!
  10. That's a very impressive looking rocket! And the fairing looks joyous!
  11. Yay my no fairing engine trick! Thanks Xoknight! If you click here. You will find my sub-assembly engine stack with both small decouplers and most of the engines with no fairing.
  12. It would be great to fill all tanks from the docking port. And if you want to fill individual tanks you can just click on them as before.
  13. Hi! Any chance you could make the retractable landing gear paint-able? My WIP Batman tumbler will look awesome in black!! please. Thank you. MJ
  14. Do, Gus is no cheat. As he says its a misunderstanding. GO GUS! MJ
  15. Ok cool. It is possible to balance it during the gravity turn. Little taps will hold it in a slow turn, no wobble. But after having launched it over 20 times I think that's just because of practice! Did you see how many reaction wheels I put inside the shuttle? 6.. Anyone know of diminishing returns with reaction wheels?
  16. Yeah mechJeb is a bit of a noob when it comes to more complex craft. How did you find the ascent when flown by hand?
  17. I like it a lot! Keep refining the design and improving performance. Make it really flyable and capable of landing safely and you will have a great exploration vehicle! Keep up the good work Volapong!
  18. I though so about the mechjeb, I remember it making craft wobble like that. What do you mean by "so the rocket wouldn't tumble over"? During ascent? I found that little taps kept the curve smooth and controllable. Its all those surfaces.. I noticed you where short of the runway too. It can be so tricky to judge sometimes. Considering the glide path must be perfect. I'm just glad you made it! MJ
  19. Ok, done. I loved the vid Woopert, a really nice job considering you made it as you flew!
  20. Thank you Woopert! NOTICE: Seeing Wooperts video made me realise I uploaded the wrong one.. It's mission capable but the correct one has better RCS port placement and more fuel. I will update the link asap. MJ
  21. LOL! I didn't see that until now! How can I make it up to you?
  22. They are indeed Cupcake!! Cool vid as usual too. @Darnok, I don't think he used the dual control mod but its possible. What he did was set one craft on a set course then switch to the other and catch up with the first and match its speed and heading. It can be very tricky but Cupcake makes it look so easy! MJ
  23. make that four biplanes! And two versions of the Land Rover V8 short wheel base. MJ
  24. Yeah don't use them ever! Too much trouble. Oh and well done for getting skickied! Great thread! Great crafts! Great balls of fire!
