  1. I just did my first asteroid mission! Logically, my first target was an E size asteroid... So I decided that my fist mission should be to claw a probe to it. Mainly because I have no idea how much these things weigh. And as you probably know, knowing the weight of the object is very important when calculating Delta-V (so that I bring enough fuel to "redirect it") Oh, and by redirect I mean land it at my Minmus Base. Now you may be wondering, "where's the SLS parts!" Well I though that launching a 2 ton probe with anything other than my Space Shuttle wouldn't make much sense. The rendezvous went surprisingly well with the improved maneuver nodes and other things. Huh, that's pretty small... wait, ONE KILOMETER AWAY?! "Redirecting" this will not be easy! Unleash the CLAW! Clawed! I have completed my first solar docking ever. I'm gonna need a bigger ship... Why did I chose an E as my first asteroid again?
  2. I just downloaded the new patch and everything is working now, and the second asteroid that spawned is a D on a collision course with Kerbin... Thanks Squad.... I know what my first mission is now!

  4. I can only think of one idea: Show the movie "Armageddon" to your Kerbals, then they will know how to save Kerbin.
  5. I'm not starting a new save, so I guess I'll wait until the patch is out...
  6. Is anyone else not getting asteroids in old saves? (I heard that it was fixed) Yes, I have tried timewarping...
  7. Thanks, I was wondering what was going on... Luckily, I was wise enough to make a back-up before updating. By the way, the patcher server went REALLY fast this time! I had the update in 10 minutes instead of 5 hours (I have bad internet!) Thanks again!
  8. They do seem to hurt performance... Once I launched over 700 debris, and the Kerbal X upper-stage (which is like 5 parts) lagged as if I was flying a 1000 part rocket. So yes, too many debris can be bad.
  9. Note that saves wont actually break, supposedly asteroids just don't spawn in...

  13. That actually makes sense (I wouldn't be surprised if that is the case), but I guess there could be another reason.
  14. I just have one question: Is there a reason for asteroids not spawning in old saves? When I think about it I don't really see why... It sounds like this can probably be fixed manually by copy and pasting things, but I was just wondering why the game cant do this itself (I remember several updates when something new was added to the persistent files and the saves did not break, instead the game just added the missing info).
  15. The patcher works fine for me, it updates like 1 or 2 files and then stops.
  16. Update .24 probably wont be out until at least a few weeks, so I would expect the results sometime around then.
  17. This is back? I thought these awesome creations were lost forever in april! I guess I just didn't notice that they had returned in September...
  18. Here's my new shuttle: The Poseidon STS (100% Stock) Its done several successful missions so far, such as deploying this Ike probe. Also, its cargo capacity is 10 tons to LKO.

  21. Contracts aren't coming until .24, so we don't really know if money will be included yet.
  22. Looking at previous update times, if it is coming out today, then it would probably be within the next 2 hours or so.
