  1. The Gant has actually been replaced in service by this craft: To install it just copy the file to KSP-Win64/Ships/SPH/ you'll be able to open it within KSP from there. Cupcake...
  2. Heh folks, I've done a wee visual update to my aircraft fleet which now benefit from a more compact and stylish front wing assembly. All versions of the Vortex, Storm and Squall have been upgraded for your aeronautical pleasure. I promise I'll stop tweaking now! Cupcake...
  3. Whoops, thanks for letting me know! All fixed now. For better or worse that's how I build. Cupcake...
  4. CRAFT FILE(S): https://goo.gl/qHPy7x Presenting the Bee, a low cost, light weight, extremely compact design that's simply perfect for giving your Kerbals their first taste of flight. Despite appearances the craft puts out some impressive performance, and is able to get up to 600m/s at altitude, all from a single Juno engine! You've also got enough range to get 3/4 of the way round Kerbin. As with all my designs the Bee is balanced at all fuel loads and is very easy to fly. Grab your copy today! CONTROLS: 1 - Toggle Engine 0 - Toggle Cockpit Doors/Speed Brake. NOTES: A joystick is recommended and SAS should be left on at all times. The Pilot Assist Mod is recommended for long distance cruising. Enjoy! Cupcake...
  5. I've been experimenting with compact, low drag designs powered by a lowly Juno engine. I was certainly not expecting to get close to Mach 2 out of it! 600 m/s is the sort of speed I'd expect from a Panther powered aircraft! Range isn't bad either, at cruising altitude you can get well over an hours flight time from only 100 units of LF. Coming soon! Cupcake...
  6. FILES: https://goo.gl/nkBt89 Presenting the Squark, a light weight, short range VTOL transport/rescue that replaces the Gnat in service. Powered by Juno engines with rocket assist the Squark is very easy to fly with gentle handling characteristics. Equally at home on land or at sea the craft is great for getting to those hard to land places. The rear docking port/control point allows for easy refueling or even towing. CONTROLS: 1 - Toggle Main Engines. 2 - Toggle Rocket Assist 0 - Toggle Cockpit Doors ABORT - Undock Fueling Port. PILOT NOTES: A joystick is highly recommended and SAS should be left on at all times. The craft's oxidizer supply is limited so the rocket assist should only be used for precision flying/emergency power. If the craft flips it is possible to right using the reaction wheel torque. Enjoy! Cupcake...
  7. Check the dl folder for the squall, vortex or storm. Cupcake...
  8. These were designed, built and tested with joysticks in mind with the added bonus of being stock. Congrats on the new stick BTW. Cupcake...
  9. Thanks, I should probably go back and read the OP. Cupcake...
  10. This is an example of a high T/W space-plane I made recently. By keeping weight down to a minimum (no extra engines), and using streamlined parts you can still get a very respectable 2.5k in orbit or 1.9k without the drop tanks. Ascent is 5* rising to 10* with the drop tanks or a straight 10* climb without. Hope this helps. Cupcake...
  11. This is the er... Well, I haven't named it yet, but it's a light weight, short range transport/rescue dropship. It's due to replace the Gnat in service and trades some range for vastly improved handling and an air-frame approximately half the size of the original. Like all my airborne dropships this one features rocket assist, for emergency power or precision maneuvers. The design can comfortably seat two Kerbals and will put out 20-30 mins of flight time dependent on altitude, throttle etc... Coming soon! So, any ideas for a name? Cupcake...
  12. It doesn't matter what it's attached to as long as it's at the front of the craft. Cupcake...
  13. It helps with heat, it's got a tolerance of 2600k which is more then most of the aero parts. Cupcake...
  14. And to you kind cosmonaut. In other good news I've finally found a fix for the landing gear/drop tank bugs that were plaguing the Vortex, to anyone that downloaded the original files please ensure you grab the latest versions! Enjoy! Cupcake...
  15. Top marks for the craft, video and of course the soundtrack. Cupcake...
  16. Heh all, The imaginatively named Air Support Truck has been added to the download folders of the Squall, Storm and Vortex. The vehicle features both forward and aft control points to make attachment that little bit easier. As you've probably figured out the front port will allow you to fuel up at your local gas station/refinery. I should point out that being the longest aircraft in the fleet the Vortex has to be towed tail first, however for the Squall and Storm this isn't really an issue. Enjoy! Cupcake...
  17. Heh all, I've added a LF only version of the Vortex to the archive. This craft is designed to fly very fast, very high and will let two Kerbals cruise at speeds in excess of Mach 5 with enough fuel to circumnavigate Kerbin. For cruising I'd recommend using Pilot Assist to hold the plane at an altitude of 27,990. You'll also want to restrict the speed to 1620m/s otherwise you'll be flying so fast the engine will start cutting out! As I mentioned on the main page I've had to remove the drop-tanks on the Vortex for now due to a bug. As soon as I can diagnose the issue I'll let you all know but in the meantime this is a good opportunity to practice those Mimmus runs. Cupcake...
  18. Heh folks, I've done a wee upgrade to my aircraft fleet to allow them to use the same infrastructure as the Vortex. The Squall and all versions of the Storm have been re-balanced and now have their docking ports at the top of the craft. The landing gear has also been moved back and in to better match the aesthetics of the Vortex. Speaking of which there's a new LF only version fresh out the paddock which will let you circumnavigate Kerbin (twice) at a rather brisk Mach 5+! This lunatic machine can fly over 1900m/s at sea level (not recommended) so go easy on the gas or climb fast unless you want an in flight cremation! In less positive news I'm having to ditch the drop tanks on the Vortex for now as staging them knocks the engine out of alignment for some strange reason. I'll re-attach the tanks as soon as I can diagnose the issue. As you were. Cupcake...
  19. I've been putting together a few support vehicles for the Vortex and plan on updating the Squall and Storm so they can make use of the same infrastructure. As well as looking cute it also has a fantastic turning circle. Coming soon. Cupcake...
