[1.12.3] Restock - Revamping KSP's art (Feb 25)
cineboxandrew replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
It should not break anything in any existing saves, but of course it never hurts to make a backup. If you have any problems with save compatibility please report them on the github page -

Can you post your log? It’s hard to help without knowing what’s going on -

I’m told Indicator lights will be getting an update soon with a patch. And I believe the only incompatibility right now is some odd LED positioning on the small inline reaction wheel -

Make sure you installed the mod correctly. After you download, drag the ReStock folder from inside the Gamedata folder in the zip into your KSP Gamedata -

I recommend not doing this. A fix is already staged for 0.1.1 that fixes the solar panel pivot orientations, but if you’ve done this or deployed any other panels while Restock is enabled, you’ll just need to do it again once 0.1.1 is installed since they’ll be saved in the 0.1.0 orientations instead of the stock/0.1.1 orientations. I made a small MM patch that makes the unshrouded panels retractable that you can install temporarily, which might make this process a bit easier once the update is ready -

Please file a bug report on github. I know the fix for this, I’ll have to relay it to @Beale I should note: unfortunately fixing this will cause the same error with any vessels saved with the current version of Restock. I’ll include some instructions to edit saves to manually fix it though -
[1.12.3] Restock - Revamping KSP's art (Feb 25)
cineboxandrew replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Yes, we’ve already had to make several changes as the stock parts got updated Memory usage is only about 30% higher than the stock game right now, thanks to @blowfish‘s plugin work that prevents redundant stock assets from loading -
KSP Loading... Preview: New Altimeter Toggle!
cineboxandrew replied to SQUAD's topic in KSP1 The Daily Kerbal
Nice in concept, but does it need to take up so much vertical space on the UI? maybe have just two buttons to the left of the altimeter that collapse when not hovered over? I really don't like the idea of more of the screen being taken up by stock UI, especially if its just for the words "Altitude Mode" that never change plus 3 letters. Will this be able to be disabled? anyone know how hard it would be for a plugin to remove it?- 114 replies

[WIP] Restock: KSP Part Art Revamp (Released March 06)
cineboxandrew replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Restock+ has some effects on gameplay (it adds gimbals to the SRBs for example). Part upgrades are probably out of scope though -

Honestly I don’t think it needs variants at all, unless maybe you have one with an aerodynamic shroud -

All of the other relay antennas are white so I thought I would make them consistent. Thanks for the compliment! -

if it helps, the default/stock animation in pood's gif is the one in the back right -

that is what it does, I guess Pood's gif might be a little confusing on what's the deployed and retracted state. -
[WIP] Restock: KSP Part Art Revamp (Released March 06)
cineboxandrew replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
On this Thursday update we're showing the Spectro-Variometer and the HG-5 Relay Antenna. Both of these parts are somewhat iconic shapes, but still in need of some improved models and textures. Some goals here were to keep the original designs as closely as possible but with higher fidelity and better similarity to other parts in their families. The HG-5 is based on the Apollo high gain antenna as well as the Lunar Orbiter spacecraft, and has the same white painted dish front and copper feed as the other relay parts. It also has 3 more alternate deploy positions to make using the part less frustrating, and in Restock+ there is the new HG-20 relay with 4 dishes, so you can recreate the Apollo spacecraft. The Spectro-Variometer I decided was likely intended to be a gas chromatograph, a real world instrument for analyzing the makeup of materials. I had some fun with this since it was one of the few parts where I could get away with fan vents as greebling . Screenshots thanks to @Poodmund since my laptop doesnt get along very well with graphical mods and a screenshot of the antenna in the VAB showing all the deploy positions available (and I think some unfinished textures oops)- 438 replies

No, but Blowfish made a plugin to prevent redundant stock assets from loading using a blacklist -

Probably not, but you can easily do that yourself with a MM patch
