Which Protons are you talking about the OLDD one is broken and the newer one doesnt fit any of the MIR payloads better to have a choice in my opinion. Bobcats stuff isnt going to be updated he has said that on countless occasions. With 1.1 close to release most of the older mods we love will be broken beyond fixing if the original author doesnt want to spend the time or has lost interest. So the more we have of 1 kind of rocket the better chance you have of 1 actually continuing on into further releases

Awesome news that 1.1 will be released soon not lookiing forward to all the broken mods, but progress doesnt stop for anyone

[1.1.2] Orbital Utility Vehicle v1.2.4
Virtualgenius replied to nli2work's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Would you consider making an endcap similar to the cockpit shape I think it would compliment it you could have it like a service module with additional fuel and electrical resources and additional cargo -

Awesome your back this is a great mod for spacetug use -
@Free Thinker I totally agree with you, there are so many complaints about this new forum software 8 in this thread alone when are things actually going to be addressed and fixed we have had this new software for 3 months now, and its still a pile of steaming excremant, is there an ETA when stuff will be fixed or are we going to be stuck with the default install for the next 3 years
-
I PM'd Denny who created the OLDD models he is going to update them for 1.1 so please dont do any unnecessary work on my account. I do hope 1.1 comes soon so many excellent mods are being held until its release, saying that so many mods will possibly break we are stuck between a rock and hard place so its hurry and and wait

@kelidoskoped Windows 10 is far better than Windows 7 you have to disable some of the intrusive stuff but as operating systems go its far better than Windows 7 and congrats Spacedock team on breaking the 300gb barrier

that doesn't warrant a comment seeing you joined in 2015 and probably have no idea of the turmoil it created

Curse makes money of your hard work, you agree to there T&C's if they decide to move everything to Curse.com you don't have a leg to stand on by supporting the community site it can grow and expand and you can add input and it provides a better alternative thats not for profit but a service to the KSP community
-
This forum software sucks and I hate it, but unfortunately its all we have, you wouldnt want to create a second one just for spacedock you wouldnt have the content the followers subscriptions your follow (well the new ones since the old where deleted) friends etc. KSP for me is all about the community and these forums provide that, ask for help you get it, create Spacedock its done, even though I get the feeling Squad doesnt listen or learn from past errors we as the community seem to rally and help each other, which is the one reason why its so popular and will continue to grow and as long as KS/Spacedock is around I will not have to visit curse to get my mods well done guys.

DennyTx please update your mods they are to good to just lie about and not be used. Please I implore you to give them some love

It wouldn't have got to this circular argument if Squad had engaged with the community from day 1 how many official mods has squad put out i am reasonably sure its 3, as opposed to how many mods are created by the community
-
Thanks Frizzank for all the effort you have put into Fasa its greatly appreciated
-
Everyone admits the original spaceport wasn't ideal but at least it was run and controlled by the Squad team Curse is a commercial entity that you have no control over, you agree to there T&C's and you dont have a leg to stand on, at least when it was hosted by Squad you had the power of the community to back you. KS/Spacedock are similar to the old spaceport they will listen to the community are not a commercial entity provide a better user experience. If Squad didnt want to host mods they should have offered it up to the community first before moving to a commercial provider, but there communication skill in any major change is sadly lacking.

How do you browse the forums?
Virtualgenius replied to Mad Rocket Scientist's topic in Kerbal Network
I created a subscription activity stream to try and mimic the old style its not as good as the Vbulletin option but its all I have to work with in this junk forum software- 10 replies

@KasperVld Thank you for you response however there is some animosity by the community on the way that the Curse deal came about. The community was promised Spaceport2 and it was hinted at on a few occasions by Harvester and a site had been built to replace spaceport, next thing a few modders found out in IRC Curse was a done deal no community involvement, not a hint at even asking what we would like to use, considering the mods are created by users surely some consultation should have prevailed. KS was born out of that lack of communication its water under the bridge now but KS was far more popular than Curse and Spacedock will be as well, why not acknowledge the fact that curse was error and support the local KSP community not some commercial entity thats only interested in making money of other people hard work.

It would be really nice to know what sort of arrangement squad and curse have going its all been so secretive and behind closed doors so the community had no idea what was going on till it was done. Any revenue that could be generated in a tasteful manner would be acceptable personally i like the sponsorship idea

I cant praise the people enough for pulling this one out of the fire, Kerbalstuff was very popular simplistic and easy to use with no adverts you simply browse find download. I am looking forward to spacedock its a credit to all of you who rallied together.

I think there is a lot being lost in translation here and i dont think there was any intent to be rude it just didnt come out correctly
-
You guys rock is all I can say legends the lot of you for solving an issues so quickly you have my applause and appreciation as I am a CURSE hater and happy to admit it. When you call for donation I will be only to happy to throw some $ to the cause. I have 1 question would it be possible or ethical to enforce all mods to have a KSP forum thread most do but there are some that dont.
