  1. You can't "science spam". You can put a seriously awkward telescope into space, run upgrade and maintenance missions and try to use it properly by waiting for good opportunities to actually use the telescope without blowing it up. As a reward, you get science. The largest batch of science you can get is when Jool is in the right position because then you have 5 bodies in close proximity to observe and 'photograph'.
  2. "RL" here seems to stand for "real life", that is, it's taking an actual screenshot. That seems to cause memory overuse sometimes, so just use F1 or F12. The other one, "Take Photo", works fine for the science part.
  3. Is there much to add from FASA? I thought it's mostly rocket parts. DMagic's science parts I can do, they're the perfect sort of thing for this.
  4. In Skyrim modding, you don't have one portion of the community constantly going on about rescaling half of the world to match reality.
  5. Here you go! A couple of 'doors' down from here. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/24906-WIP-LLL-Lack-Luster-Labs-LLL-0-10-7-3b-25FEB2014-SXT-0-8-2-08MAR2014
  6. I thought it might be a permissions issue, but if Nereid can reproduce it, probably not.
  7. Oh lord. I was wondering why quoting him nearly broke my browser, my spellchecker was going mental trying to read 222kb of hex.
  8. You add the one that looks the most like the one you actually want, then go to the action groups tab and set it up. I presume you want the chute container to be somewhat bigger or smaller. This is done in that ActionGroup editing area. Simply select the chutes and go to that AG tab, an editor will be waiting with buttons for 'next size' and 'previous size'.
  9. Does this mean some mod-related things will be automatically exposed? e.g. beamed power being received if one had the KSPI mod, part rotation if one had the Robotics mod?
  10. intended behaviour. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/57988-0-23-x-RealChute-Parachute-Systems-editor-window%21-v1-0-3-7-03-14?p=1010686&viewfull=1#post1010686 Read the little tooltip in the VAB. You make your adjustments in the ActionGroup tab. When in flight, the Read Info button also lets you edit the deployment altitudes.
  11. It's best to use ModuleManager to add them. Majiir warns against touching the addModules.cfg. I've got a small project going to add it to most things that a Kerbal should be able to carry, you can find it here.
  12. Um, what will happen if I don't? At the moment it seems to be a choice between whatever not having this will cause, or explodieness
  13. He asked a simple question, to which I gave him the answer and subsequently advice on how to find it himself. Perhaps brashly, but we're all adults here. You on the other hand, are helping nobody, if you don't like my help
  14. Not stupid, but one of these: trolling, lazy, or ignorant. There's no shame in that last one, ignorance, if you learn when you are given the opportunity. You've managed to master messing around with your profile page, why not take some time to learn how to use the actual forum? If a thread is quite long and you want to find information, search it. And if you're having problems with the number of pages in of the threads, change it.
  15. I'm sorry, but I did get a good laugh from this! Caret
  16. No just retextures, new models! Some form of stack-based heatshield that 'grows out' to cover everything except the engine below it. For entering an atmosphere behind an engine. Like an ablative turtleneck...
  17. I don't think anyone is going to make new parts for it, but if you need variations - tanks that store other fuels, life support, etc - those could be done.
  18. I have been worried about the health of my poor Kerbals, all now soaked in GWs of power at all times thanks to the omnidirectional transmitters
  19. I figured out what it was. I had this config @PART[*]:HAS[@MODULE[RealChuteModule]] { @MODULE[RealChuteModule] { @stowedDrag = 0 } } Hidden away in my GameData folder somewhere, presumably existing to fix some now-fixed bug. Removing it makes it harder to reach orbital speeds, with the much greater benefit of no longer causing instant death.
