  1. Yes. I wanted to test the theory that no holds barred would actually produce something OP and undefeatable without resorting to an arms race. At some point I would imagine collective ingenuity will rule the day or else BDA gets a balance pass.
  2. looks like im up next. when u run the phantoms, they request they be run at night.
  3. In the past, I considered pre-game collisions as a bug. If after 3 or more attempts I can't get the new challenger's craft not to crash, I reboot KSP, try again. It usually works. I figure if it still crashes due to bad placement, then it's probably a fault with the aircraft. I might have you guys run the match to confirm, or just simply disqualify the entry until the challenger can provide a reliable craft placement. I've had up to 6 collisions when doing matches. I fix it by either rebooting KSP, or toggling to the problem craft to give more physics attention to it. I say give it at least three good tries, but giving up after that is fine, and probably is dependent on how patient you are if you want to keep going. Thanks by the way for all the matches you've run so far!
  4. Added craft file editor rule to OP to clarify craft file editing permission: Craft file editing is permissible, but only within current in-game ranges. This allows players to fine-tune their craft in case the game does not offer the exact setting they desire.
  5. Have you tested it battle against the current King of the Hill? If not, do so, then submit if you're confident. I'll add you to the roster in the meantime. You can change your craft at anytime. To ease the load on the match hosts, I've added line to the OP encouraging people only to submit entries that they've tested against the current King of the Hill (and others next in line). Not sure how much this limits participation, but at this rate, I think it's a good idea to at least request players to do so (but not mandate it)
  6. craft file editing. which is permissible under ASC rules. aye yup. i'm afraid of @g00bd0g's VulTors. nothing i throw at him seems to crack his defense. I don't believe in a missiles arms race either. I did come up with three craft that decimate him, but 2v2 they lose consistently.
  7. Yes of course. I'll update it, but going forward we need all submissions to either be on KerbalX.com or dropbox. saves time having to edit all changes.
  8. I need a static link in case you update it in the future. Is this link static? Yes of course.
  9. Well played @jrodriguez ! @g00bd0g if someone has already won 2-0 you don't have to record a 3rd round. Heh. The MK theme is really only for matches that make it to the 3rd round, since its considered the deathmatch round. But no worries. Thanks for recording these! captjo is just glad he doesn't have to face your VulTors later down the line... heh OP updated with results and new submissions.
  10. Anyone may use the ASC badge who has participated in a formal match. There isn't a champion one yet, but I did update your reign to include your second win over Zarton.
  11. missiled himself eh? captjo wants to set all missiles to sudden fire... updated craft incomming. next competition version (after his reign ends) will feature missiles is um... safer locations... @g00bd0g Supreme Fighter 2 craft updated for next legitimate match: https://www.dropbox.com/s/41xwtc5qnbjarhu/Supreme%20Fighter%202.craft?dl=0 simply made all missiles 0 on the activation to avoid spectacular displays of missiling oneself.
  12. No worries. As the post said "ready for next match" so if he's dead before the changes, he'll be submitting his craft to the bottom of the roster anyways. Once a match is run, it counts. If a player does not get changes in before you have begun a match, the changes are forefeit for the match you ran since that match is considered counted. The next match whether he wins and goes on, or loses and resubmits to the bottom of the roster is when the changes may apply. Match hosts are not responsible for picking up craft updates. If they get them, they get them. If not, the onus is on the player to submit the changes before the match host downloads a craft on the roster, but it not the responsibility of the match host to apply them. Once a match is run, it is run. It can not be re-done.
  13. Supreme Fighter 2 missile software updated. Available for the next ASC KOTH match, same download link as before: https://www.dropbox.com/s/41xwtc5qnbjarhu/Supreme%20Fighter%202.craft?dl=0
  14. op updated with submitted links and new reign results (wow NotAnAimBot... that was very brief. In my testing with the Supreme Figher 2, you won more often though. I chalk it up to luck on captjo's part). I'll need to update the Supreme Fighter 2 though since I think he managed to accidentally reverse the settings for the fire mechanism for the top AIM 120s. They should be set at 1 second while the bottom ones should be at 2 seconds. I leave it up to the other match hosts to decide if such a change is permitted to the King in addition to AI changes. I know no part changes (or weapon type changes) are permitted to the King. Thoughts? If not, when the SF2 dies he'll just resubmit it with corrected missile settings.
  15. Is it my imagination or is captjo's Supreme Fighter 2 in the third round showing off by releasing a third AIM-120 only to have it swoop around and over his head, fire, and fly right through the hole in his wings?
  16. You can rotate the craft up on its feet using the aswd and ijkln keys in VesselMover. Disqualified for the moment, but try running the match again for kicks with him starting standing up. If he flies ok afterwards, we'll re-slot him at the end of the current list.
  17. All updates posted to OP. If your updated craft is not listed, be warned @jrodriguez and @g00bd0g have indicated we will be running nearly all challenges on the board as much as possible in the next few days.
  18. My son, captjo formally submits his fighter as a replacement for The Supreme Fighter. He now presents the Supreme Fighter 2: https://www.dropbox.com/s/41xwtc5qnbjarhu/Supreme%20Fighter%202.craft?dl=0
  19. Ohh yea? Meet the Fighter Papa 2: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6mx6ruajlk8ut51/Fighter%20Papa%202.craft?dl=0 Rather than slapping a fighter together in 5 minutes, I actually read the manual this time. Designed to take down @jrodriguez's xwing and that nasty looking vulture he was fighting that I can't seem to find a download for.
