@seanmcdougall Contract Configurator is unable to see the CommandSeat as a countable seat for crew capacity. @nightingale thinks its an issue with TakeCommand at this point. Any ideas? See https://github.com/jrossignol/ContractConfigurator/issues/505 Can you confirm that TakeCommand is having Command Seats add to the part.CrewCapacity in KSP in 1.1.2?

Probably. But then again, the matches have already started. Good feedback for ASC-V though. I redesigned the stock Dove to be on par with the VulcaRaptors. They use 6 120s, so I had to design it to handle the same. Worked out rather killer. I see ASC-II battles will have two phases: missile spam and dodging, and then gunfighting. In all my tests with the VulcaRaptors, if one side or the other didn't get lucky with wiping out one or two of the other teams' fighters with missiles, it was all down to the gun fight. To win in ASC-II you must have a plane that can dodge missiles reasonably. You know what might actually work better for ASC-V? A tonnage, in-game cost, total part count of 80 or less, and BDA part limit of 15 or less.

lol. u play dodgeball. but then you have to face their guns. and their speed. and their small form factor. tough buggers. on par with the upcoming VulcaRaptors they will soon face.

I've updated my Battle Dove with a slightly better AI pilot to cancel out the wild oscillations on gun passes. Now it can eat VulcaRaptors on a single pass. KerbalX updated.

Quick! Someone submit a craft before g00bd0g does... I do NOT want to fight his VulcaRaptors. j/k I designed the Battle Dove to be a VulcaRaptor antidote.

I'll go with that. OP rules updated. All missiles must be mounted to a rail. 3 AIM 9s per rail max 2 missiles of all other types, per rail max. Rotary bomb rails must be limited to a max of 6 rails. Rotary bomb rails are counted as 2 BDA parts for purpose of BDA part count limit.

I understand. So how should we count a rotary? 2 parts? and then require missiles to be mounted on rails only?

how many rails does the rotary have? would require min 2 for 6 AIM 9s, so thus 8 parts. 3 AIM 9s on 2 rails is 5 parts. 6 AIM 9s on 2 rails is 8 parts 6 AIM 9s in a bay with a rotary set to 2 rails is also 8 parts.

We count each individual rail on the rotary (and players must state how many rails per rotary are in their submission), but now that missiles can be mounted anywhere, it only makes sense to treat them with the same missiles per rail counting as standard rails. Bear in mind that since I manage the roster, I'll be doing most of the original qualification work. You guys as match hosts just have to be aware if you see anything suspicious on the crafts you are matching.
