Ya. Its the reason I've not worked on crafts lately. That 50k per day thing is a draw in for me. That and I finally got my IS (pm me ur nick so we can hop on together sometime). My computer decided to forget a junction I made when I moved Users from an SSD C drive to another hard disk drive. Corrupted all my user profiles. I wound up backing up everything to BDRs, and then wiping out my profiles to no avail. Realized only 30 hours later I needed to simply recreate the junction. Ha! Everything restored, no backups necessary. That said, I got nothing done for KSP in the past two days because of it. That's the LAST time I install an executable claiming to be a WoT modpack without first running it in Sandboxie... thankfully it was not a virus, but most likely was a coincidence.

Time to give Aphobius a run for his money...

You know, you could enforce the no timewarp thingy by simply requiring everyone to install DarkMultiPlayer and then hosting it all on a multiplayer server set to No Time Warp.

OP updated! Thanks Columbia. I'll see if I can take a look at it. I might modify the SCA, if you don't mind. I am a stickler for perfection in my own crafts, and an SCA was on the drawing board. I might just take yours and clean it up a bit and though it may slap an STS label on it, it will most likely be fully credited to you. Great ideas Gus. Yea, I was just wondering what everyone's opinion was on the best of this or that out there. I mean, its what led me to build off the backs of others to create awesome crafts of my own. I mean, if I could see the top 3 apollo style launchers, I might be able to reverse engineer and come up with one with the best of all worlds... sort of like what I did with the nasa shuttles I found. It's all in the name of finding the best craft in order to raise the bar. Also I don't want to run it lest my own impartiality be called into question (and I already manage the behmouth that is the Showcase Master thread). But if I can pass the idea to someone else to run, that would be awesome! Top 3-10 crafts in each practical spacecraft category would be ideal, and keep the list updated every 3-6 months. Even better if data from KerbalX, curse, reddit, and other forums could be included and collected and published so as to give a pretty large scope covering most craft in existence. Just not sure how to go about it. I mean, I could ask you guys: what is your favorite apollo launcher? what is your favorite VTOL SSTO? what is your favorite runway SSTO? what is your favorite satellite launcher? what is your favorite long range launcher? what is your favorite planetary lander? what is your favorite space station core or station package? what is your favorite Constellation style mission package? what is your favorite Russian style Mun mission package? etc... I also like the idea of not submitting your own craft.

Arbitrary preferences? I don't know per se and maybe the whole idea is as bad as best recommended mods for basic gameplay...but I wonder if we as a community can come up with something basic for new players to try out and see and reversr engineer ideas in order to stand on the shoulders of giants...perhaps even manking better craft in the process. This is coming from the general idea that spawned the Showcase Master list. This idea however focuses on specific craft recommendations and referrals. Not as expansive as previous craft repositories, but more narrow showcasing what we as a community generally agree are great crafts (With available download links). Basically taking the Rep Worthy thread idea and opening it up to submitting other ppls crafts and requiring a download and narrowing the field to like the top 10 for each category.

Again not for rep. This list wouldn't be for us designers. it would be for players not wanting to go through the trouble of searching through all our threads and reddit and kerbalx and curse and...

my shuttle spammed enough. Heh No, what im looking for is really something more space program rounded. A package, a list of the best known craft designs for obvious categories such a launchers, sstos, station and base packages...that a newcomer can easily find in a list to download and try out crafts so as to get their space program up and quickly running. In short I want to know what you think are craft people have designed that meet the most basic of categories required for a successful space program. Your own craft may be submitted or not but the idea is to recommend others. So even if you didn't participate, your craft could still be recommended.
