1. Yeah I don't get it. It looks exactly the same just bigger. This really sucks. - - - Updated - - - Still forcing you to start with manned.
2. That's also not a paradox. The answer "never" is a straight-up conclusion drawn from stated premises. It's internally consistent and valid, even if not sound. For it to be sound the premises would have to be true, but then we're getting into the semantics of those sentences.
3. This looks like a fallacy of division. Sometimes a question can also be nonsensical. People say there are no stupid questions but that's not really true.
4.

== Universal Docking Ports v1.0 == A set of Universal Docking Ports designed for space tugs. Important You MUST DELETE THE PREVIOUS INSTALLATION. If you have any craft using them you'll need to recover or delete them. Be careful not to delete any Kerbals inside the craft. You must install both dependencies. Without them the docking ports will behave like regular docking ports, only attaching to other docking ports of the same size. This mod includes an agency definition. If you need to uninstall this new mod (v1.0) you will need to make sure that you don't have the agency listed in any of the contract lists, included the completed ones. You must delete those contracts before uninstalling the mod. Version 1.0 Features: 1.25m Port can attach to 1.25m and 0.625m stock docking ports and all other Universal Docking Ports 2.5m Port can attach to 2.5m, 1.25m and 0.625m stock docking ports, all other Universal Docking Ports as well as the KW 3m docking ring 3.75m Port can attach to 3.75, 2.5m, 1.25m and 0.625m stock docking ports, all other Universal Docking Ports as well as the KW 3m docking ring Forward facing light for easy docking Compatible with Connected Living Space. Impassable Download Universal Docking Ports from Mediafire Dependencies Toadicus' AdaptiveDockingNode plugin Module Manager Optional Connected Living Space

Usage: The Universal Docking Ports work the same way a regular docking port would. Thanks to Toadicus' Adaptive Docking Node plugin, the Universal Docking Ports now dock to any docking ports without dancing, and can undock with a single button. Requires Module Manager in order to modify stock and KW docking ports for compatibility. Added small alignment indicator emissive lights Added forward-facing light Switch to NODE{} Changed textures to MBM Improved textures Improved mesh Added basic agency definition and logos Have fun!
5. That's not a paradox. A paradox is a self contradictory statement or circumstance. This has a clear answer and it's "no". "Sound" is an abstract concept. Air vibrations are not.
6. No we don't understand "us" very well at all. One of the biggest intuitive ways in which "we" try to preclude unethical behaviour in children and the population at large is with negative reinforcement. We teach teens abstinence for example...and then watch teen pregnancies skyrocket. A similar thing happens in the justice systems where the main method for dealing with non-violent crime is punitive, and not rehabilitory. To say that we understand eachother or even ourselves is laughable. Human behaviour is very unintuitive because our common understanding of it is mostly innate and based on common sense, not logic or empiricism. To get back to paradoxes, I don't think people in general are interested in those very much. I certainly see them discussed very rarely.
7. I don't think that's the main reason. Human behaviour is very counter-intuitive, and somehow you don't see everyone clamouring to understand their own thoughts and feelings. You see this discrepancy the most in child rearing and the justice systems around the world.
8. Wait, you're a complete beginner? I'm sorry but this is something you'll have to figure out on your own but googling tutorials. When you have specific questions or questions about more detailed or advanced stuff I'll be here to answer.
9. Descriptions are fine but diagrams and/or 3D animations are kinda important. Do you you're planning to do, and show me an example of what you can do with something that's least well documented visually, and we'll take it from there. I may end up doing 3D animations for the thread myself if you would help me to get them right. When you make your trip I'd ask you to make as many photos as you can from various angle. This is from experience. I tried to make a 3D model of something once, and I took many reference photos from all the angles of which I could think, and it still ended up not being enough. There's always some detail that you miss. Cool One thing at a time.
10. I'm creating my agency definition now, and it's just the name, empty description and logos. Will agency contracts appear if your agency has no mentalities?
11. Sooo, if I remove all relevant agency contracts from the lists and then uninstall the mod will that be fine? What about completed contracts from that agency?
12. I'm not sure that's correct. Northern Europe seems to have great education, and they're thriving.
13. What program did you use for the original? I like how some UVs are placed inside others, and that sloping UVs are placed efficiently but the comparison you presented VASTLY understates what's available with other tools. I don't appreciate that. Also too bad the tool itself is so expensive. Can you specify and keep individual island orientations?
14. Can someone explain the problem here? RobotsAndSpaceships when you say "delete them" what are you referring to?
15. They're in the agencies folder. 1. Are these the small manufacturers icons for the part list? 2. How do I make these files?
16. Good topic. I don't really have anything to add that wouldn't be redundant, except a few links for further reading, and just an observation that this wouldn't even be a problem if children were taught logic, critical thinking, and scepticism from a young age. I've been alive long enough to realise that most people have no concept of what it means to be logical, or what science is, what it does, and how it does it. Anyway. The question in this thread is one that's relevant to a branch of philosophy called epistemology if anyone cares. It's about the nature and meaning of "knowledge". Second link is for the Dunning-Kruger Effect. It's the effect that causes unskilled and ignorant people to overestimate their knowledge and abilities. The dumber someone is, the greater their bias. What's funny is that the opposite is also true. Wise and skilled people underestimate themselves. Third is a list of logical fallacies. This article makes me smh so much. How bad are we at reasoning when there are SO MANY different ways in which we make reasoning mistakes? And lastly inductive reasoning. When someone tries to question science and "the scientists" point out to them that that scientific consensus seems to be correct 99.99% of the time, so it's probably going to be right this time too. There's nothing wrong with placing your trust in the people who spend their lives trying to disprove eachother. If they keep failing, then what emerges is for all intents and purposes correct.
17. I'm pretty sure it's hard coded to rotate ctrl_surface around the parttools empty x axis, it just so happens most of the time it's the same axis because regular wings are aligned that way. I've had to do a lot of messing around with the Skylon wings to get everything in that hierarchy aligned.
18. That's more suited for the photo reference section in the dev links sticky.
19. Yes that's fine. Generally speaking if your geometry is symmetrical you can use the same UV space, and even bake consistent ambient occlusion to it. I would recommend against reusing UVs for meshes that are slightly different.
20. In terms of useability scrollwheel is much more comfortable for fine-tuning than clicking arrows.
21. Look in the Dev links sticky. At the bottom I've created a list of mods specifically for this. You can pick what you want.
