Bomb bay was here: Never actually used for bombs, it was full of instrumentation in practice. It wasn't meant to carry piles of bombs, more a few nukes.
  2. KSP is actually a test, whoever wins the game gets recruited to join the kerbal space program...
  3. Who let the woman kerbal drive the rover? They always leave the parking brake on....
  4. Get more computers. Cars 2 took an average of 11 hours (Probably some 30+hours) and had a rendering farm with 12,500 CPUs. I figure you should be able to manage rendering it real time with only 537 CPUs.
  5. Also there "Hurr hurr, I'ma put guns on it! Lolz!" is a common theme among children and teenagers in just about any area and I think the average age of people posting on the messageboard is in the mid teens.
  6. Also keep in mind that the game's setting is a bunch of incompetent aliens with no sense of self preservation building rockets using bits of garbage they've found lying in ditches.
  7. People now complain if they have a 300 millisecond ping. Imagine how much people would complain about a 180,000 to 1,320,000 ms ping time....
  8. Jerford Kerman drank coffee he found abandoned on the side of the road.
  9. I have no doubt there is some path that would allow you to make a full orbit at 10m. However, I doubt you'll make it a second orbit with splattering on a mountainside.
  10. Can't really say if they're accurate or not without any real shared units. At the moment the power draw and power generation is pretty much made up. Fudge things around a bit until it works ok and then move on. Yes, I'd say the panels draw significantly more than is plausible, but it's also true there isn't much demand for power right now.
  11. And it's CPU limited anyway, SSD or spinny doesn't make any real difference. I seriously don't find the load time an issue. Start the game loading, go look at porn or something for the minute or two it takes and then go play.
  12. What gravity would pull you closer? Ships don't have any gravity. And unless you're directly ahead or behind of your target your orbit will be slightly different so you'll always drift around relative to it even if you start off with exactly 0 relative movement.
  13. It does, there's a relative velocity+ and - button. You have to do the throttle manually though.
  14. A lot of it boils down to, "It's a physics based game, not a simulation." And it was one of many decisions made with the goal of maximizing the fun "Realistic" bits and minimizing the boring tedious parts.
  15. Yup, I generally use mechjeb mostly as an upgraded ASAS. For holding heading or just circularizing orbit etc. I find the actual rendezvous module to not be very reliable.
  16. The pins are kind of self resetting.
  17. You mean driving a distance of about 20 miles over 9 years before complete mechanical failure? I think even ford and Fiat could beat those numbers.... ;P
  18. Yes, we\'re sure. Easiest way to confirm is to put a rocket with 4-5 tanks and 1 engine on the pad. It won\'t have enough thrust to lift off. But keep sitting there burning long enough it will slowly start to climb. Not suddenly jump into the air when an entire tank of fuel weight instantly disappears.
  19. Many small startup companies have no real intention of making money themselves. I wouldn\'t be surprised if SpaceX\'s plan is to become moderately successful at putting ships/satellites into orbit and then be bought by Boeing. Or maybe Google.
  20. When this baby hits 88 miles per second you\'re going to see some serious shit.
  21. Yup, it\'s not actually that difficult, mostly just leave kerbin\'s orbit in the direction it\'s orbitting and keep thrusting. Need a reasonably large ship, but nothing ridiculous. I think escape velocity is around 12-13km/s? about 9km/s of that comes from Kerbin\'s orbital velocity.
  22. And the ascent autopilot is pretty crap, maybe I\'m doing something wrong. Always ends up in an orbit that\'s not remotely circular with a huge inclination while using far more fuel than doing it manually.
  23. Won\'t be easy or practical right now. You\'ll need lots of up elevator and since we don\'t have trim controls yet make sure you pack airsick bags...
  24. Your complaint is irrelevant. They are, in fact, attached with drywall screws and duct tape. They were on sale at the local hardware store.
