As the title Says. So basically how it works is you have a drill on the spacecraft, it displays some bonus text about the sample then the only option is to return it transmitting wont give you any science, but returning it to kerbin will give you science. what the drill does is it takes a sample of the surface, just like a kerbal but does not give any science if transmitted. After the drill takes a sample there is another part that stores the sample on top of the sample return capsule. the return capsule can be designed for multiple stages or to use nuclear engines for efficient travel to kerbin. Since kerbals are very very expensive the sample return might be a viable mission for early or mid career mode. This also opens up contracts for returning a sample from a body. just an idea.
