[1.12.x] KSP Alternate Resource Panel v2.11.0.0 (April 10)
Ignath replied to TriggerAu's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Got a strange issue on KSP_x64. When I have a solid rocket set as the first stage, it appears all the fuel types are stacked on top of each other and I can't see my Solid fuel. Once I decouple the solid fuel (whether it's empty or I am still sitting on the launch pad without even firing), the ARP reverts back to how it should look. Is this something I've messed up in the settings or a bug of some sort? Edit: Also, only seeing 1 error in the Debug toolbar when it happens: [Exception]: KeyNotFoundException: The given key was not present in the dictionary. This error repeats untill it fills the Debug toolbar. -
Right clicking issues, issues with switching/clicking tabs in FF/Chrome, decoupler bug and the loading screen that flashes to the Astronaut Complex have all been known issues since the community driven x64 project got off the ground. It's an issue in UNITY and not necessarily entirely a KSP problem.

Or, you can right-click on the game in your STEAM library, go to Properties. Then, in the properties window, select "Set Launch Options" button. Inside that, type the path to your KSP like in Kamuchis post: "D:\Kerbal\steamapps\common\Kerbal Space Program\KSP_x64.exe" -popupwindow %command% Be sure to change the above path to YOUR install location for KSP. If you don't want the game fullscreen-windowed, remove the -popupwindow text, but leave the %command% Now, each time you launch KSP from your STEAM library, it'll run the 64 bit version, track your time, allow for the STEAM overlay and save pics in STEAM rather than not having the functionality if you run it outside STEAM. And back to the topic, KSP x64 is running just fine for me, other than the known issues (loading screen "bug" where the Astronaut Facility graphics show up, decoupler bug, etc..). Only crashes have been due to an un-updated mod (which is MY fault).

[0.24] StillBetterThanSpyware - A mod to disable ModStatistics
Ignath replied to ragzilla's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Nor is it your business how I behave nor for you to dictate how I do...right. So WHAT exactly was the point of your post? I was having a discussion with the OP which had nothing at all to do with you. I pointed out earlier that his passive-aggressive attacks were childish, OP came back with the excuse that he was in the bottle when he did it. My response was nothing more than the truth in my opinion...which I'm free to right?! If you don't like it...you could do the same that you want me to do and just keep your keyboard still huh? -
[0.24] StillBetterThanSpyware - A mod to disable ModStatistics
Ignath replied to ragzilla's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Still no excuse for it, it makes you look bad man. You are free to leave the messages and passive aggressive attacks in your post and code...just know it makes you look childish. Too bad you passed right by the most important part of the Wikipedia definition: WITHOUT THEIR KNOWLEDGE As soon as you load KSP, you are notified that it is running. Any lack of knowledge of what it is or does after the notification falls squarely on the user. The mod: 1. Alerts you that it is running as soon as you open KSP and it loads. 2. Provides (via steps on the Mods forum link) an ability to opt-out of the collection and transmission of data 3. Will not transmit the data until you re-start KSP, giving you the time, ability and option to opt-out before any data is sent. Spyware, it is not. And IE and Chrome and FF and all browsers have the same mechanism based on IP...as does just about anything you do online, unless behind a VPN, TOR network or some such other thing. Privacy arguments regarding this are so overblown and mis-stated it's beyond belief. What are you afraid of? SQUAD or Majiir knowing you go from the internet cafe to your home and play KSP at both locations? You think they're going to live-tweet that you are now switching locations while playing? You are aware that your cellphone and many other things you do on a daily basis do this same thing, right?! -
[0.24] StillBetterThanSpyware - A mod to disable ModStatistics
Ignath replied to ragzilla's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I am not a modder and do not object to this mod at all. I object to a few things regarding the entire situation: 1. The passive aggressive manner at which you are attacking Majiir in nearly everything about this mod, including user messages which is frankly childish, off-puting, sad and disrespectful 2. The constant insistence that ModStatistics is akin to malware or spyware 3. The ridiculous "privacy" crusade that has sprouted up around this...there are NO privacy concerns with this. No financial or personal information is sent (other than IP address and Unique ID...which is sent with EVERY transaction over the internet) -

Ignath replied to ragzilla's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
What do you people think Majiir or anyone else will do with a Unique ID and an IP Address? Also, what do you think your UserID on this forum is? It's a UniqueID that is tied to the IP Address you are posting from. Anyone could get basically the same info from that as they could from Majiir's data...except you know, the helpful stuff from Majiirs data. -
[0.24] StillBetterThanSpyware - A mod to disable ModStatistics
Ignath replied to ragzilla's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Except your whole argument is all shot to hell by 1 small fact: Majiir posted exactly how to create the config and opt-out. Lack of reading ability or comprehension is no excuse. Another issue with your argument is that people actually have the capability to ask for help. If one of these AVERAGE users doesn't understand how to do something...they can easily ask and an answer will be forthcoming. That's the beauty of an online forum, there are people available and willing to assist if there are questions or issues. -
Didn't Majiir also explicitly say that he's planning on implementing an opt-out on the initial warning? Isn't that a clear choice? Also, once the big huge WARNING message pops up on your monitor on first load, couldn't you just do a bit of investigation (if you were unaware of the mod) and shut it off? It's not hard...just takes some effort on the part of the person installing the mod and playing the game. I understand in this day of instant gratification that is difficult to deal with...but damn! And, as a matter of fact, I have no issue freely giving out all my info on mod usage to Majiir and whichever other mod makers are interested in seeing what I'm using (PM me guys if you want my INFOS, but I'd imagine it'd be much easier to just collect it via a usage statistics mod...o wait!)...it could only help to make mod compatibility better and help mod makers understand how their mods are being used to help make them better. What do you really think Majiir plans on using the data for?

[0.24] StillBetterThanSpyware - A mod to disable ModStatistics
Ignath replied to ragzilla's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I know exactly why this is happening...it's happening because a very select few people are getting their panties in a wad trying to be "privacy" crusaders where there is no cause. This is not a government spying on your everyday activities. This is a modder who has chosen to add usage statistics information into his (and some others, by that modders choice) mod, to figure out how people use his mod, the average system the mod runs on, what other mods are run with it, etc... to try to IMPROVE these mods. Also, those installers you mention (Java, Yahoo, Google Chrome, PicPick...yeah, I can name a bunch with bundled add-ware too) are actual INSTALLERS...not just drag/drop folders right. It seems a bit easier to include/enable an opt-out in an installer vs. dragging and dropping folders. In that case (dragging & dropping), I'd say you as the user would be responsible for VERIFYING what you put on your computer (read: look through the folders). Majiir included a warning about ModStatistics...it pops up right away when you load the game. Is it annoying to have to run around to set up a config to disable it? Perhaps. Is it being fixed as we speak to include an opt-out in the warning? All signs point to yes. You really are attacking and taking passive-aggressive digs at one of the best modders we have here in the KSP community. It's a shame really that this much fuss is being made of this ridiculous topic. -

Awesome! Thanks for the quick work and excellent mods TriggerAu! Also, will you ever be looking to implement the AppLauncher button for KAC as well (just curious, I run Toolbar anyway)? -

This whole "controversy" seems a bit...overblown -
Man, this thread has become nothing more than a ridiculous farce of wanna-be Edward Snowdens raging about their "rights" and "privacy" when talking about a mod for a silly computer game. Have some perspective people. Majiir is not trying to steal your personal data. He's not working for the gubment in some secret ploy to find out all there is to know about you. He's working on usage statistics to try to better the modding community and the state of his own (and likely other popular) mods! Complaints about random IDs and IP addresses and "tracking" are ridiculous in the world we live in today. Most people put out more information (much more dangerous information) on Facebook freely and readily.

[1.12.x] KSP Alternate Resource Panel v2.11.0.0 (April 10)

I have both running with no issue. Perhaps a combination of mods with those 2 causing the issue? -
[1.12.x] KSP Alternate Resource Panel v2.11.0.0 (April 10)
Ignath replied to TriggerAu's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Hey TriggerAu. I noticed one thing about the AppLauncher button (may be due to the limitations as expressed in Romfarers post): It doesn't show up on Map view. I picked up KER which is also integrated with AppLauncher which does show up. This makes maneuvering and resource viewing on Map mode a bit difficult. -
