Maybe we should talk to Majir? He has the capability, and his servers are well under capacity, from what I know. (He was talking about hosting a ReplacePort a little while back.) Wings work on a basis of holding the action key, while you drag the mouse over the wing to shape it as you want, whether it be root size, tip size, or length and shape. You can also adjust the thickness through the tweakable menu, so don't worry about things looking oversized or undersized in that regard.

Other than PDynamics, the general move at the moment is to make stuff procedural using the tweakable menus. PParts allows you to change texture, length, diameter, chose between different shapes such as cones, various smooth cones and rounded "Fillet" cylinders that also double as spheres through the menu. PFairings is also tweakable based, and AFAIK now only adds like 5 parts or something now. That said, PDynamics is easy to learn, it's just knowing what hotkeys to use.

Not sure about the poll, but is seems we could trim down a LOT of parts by using PDynamics, PFairings, and PParts. Think, all of the stock tanks, decouplers and wings: Gone. The NASAmission fuel tanks and decoupler: Gone. All of the B9 wings: Gone. The KW fairing system: Gone. All of the KW tanks: Gone. KW nosecones: Gone. (Keep the boosters and boosted nosecone though, and all engines.) D12 Aerotech is a bit more, exclusive, however, as it's parts are cutomizeable, but not fully procedural, (As well as some nifty gadgets like Folding and Variable sweep wings, along with a bunch of parts to make helicopters and VTOLS.) though they do replace several stock cockpits, and allow for some other, really nice design possibilities. FS fits very similarly with D12 in that its parts are a bit more exclusive and for the most part, can't really be replaced with procedural stuff. Also, if we are making and distributing a GameData folder, then we need permission from the original modders, but we should have no problem with incompatabilities.

Such as the stock structural panels? With the full B9, we have way more options than stock. And Skillfull has a manager that makes B9 compatible. Maybe other things to, like all stock fuel tanks and just use PP instead.

Hmm. I am kind of torn. Having previously participated in the GNBC in the space lounge, I know that turn based is arduous and slow at times, and makes things really easy. (No resistance, no having to account for changes, no real skill other than rendezvous, point and fire, leave, and repeat.) That said, if we are having internet problems then... what can we do?

AFAIK, Helldiver said no to this way, way earlier. (FS Texture Swapper is quite old news, TBH.) He said he didn't want you to have to load up loads of huge HD texture files just to change the name of the shuttle. Also, you should be a bit more careful with how you are posting. People don't appreciate Double Posts, and it clutters the threads, and if you do it enough, the Moderators get involved. There is an edit button on the bottom of your post that will allow you to retype or add to what you have already posted. Just a word of warning. -

You do know that there is a node on the bottom of the ET? You can just attach a tri-adaptor or even just a straight engine to the bottom, and Voila, launcher. And the shape of the ET wouldn't work with a top node, as it ends in a point, unless Helldiver pulls some trickery with fairing nodes and models, or uses the new FS Model changer. As I understand it, this functionality requires a plugin, so no, he can't. -
Yes, but, what happens when you IVA? When you do, the Control point changes to suit the direction of that model, even though that part might not be a control part, which basically means that in order to keep our stations looking good, we cannot enjoy IVA. Really, the control from here system needs to be an absolute override of everything else, no matter IVA or orientation. As it is now, KSP just looks and goes, oh you want to control it this way but see this other way? NOPE.

Well, with my mod on hiatus due to IRL, I decided I might as well continue to post stuff, in at least some way. So, I'm not quite sure if this is the relevant forum but I will be posting semi-random pieces of artwork here for constructive criticism and general talking, at least until I can get RL nailed down and with some spare time and the motivation to mod again.

Well. I wish I could say I have been working on this, but unfortunately RL is getting in the way. I have a huge Portfolio of work to produce over the rest of the year, as well as about a term's worth of work to catch up on for another subject. Don't worry, I will return, and I will finish it, but it will probably be about 6 months before I am in a position to do so, especially as I am Jobhunting ATM. So, to appease the mobs slightly, and hopefully keep those pitchforks and torches away, I will show you one piece of work I have been working on: As part of my visual research for the portfolio, I have to show I can work in different styles, and I chose to do a large-ish sketch of Matoko (Makoto? I have no idea.) from Danganronpa, with some slightly more believable proportions to him. -

Full Throttle Hotkey

That's all well and good, if he was asking for a mod. I understand that it's just an "In the meantime" thing, but people need to stop posting mods in response to sugeestions for the game. As for the OP, I agree with a full throttle key being rather unusual not to have, with a kill throttle key already implemented. -
1) When people try to force their "Realistic" or "Better" playstyle on others. (Rule of Cool!) 1.5) When people call using certain mods or playstyles cheating. If it's there, and I can use or do it, you can be damn well sure I will, no matter what you say, be it anything from MJ's AP to part clipping. 2) No stock fairings, and no proper drag model. I understand this is kerbal, but it's not like any rocket ever had a valuable payload like the LEM on the outside. 3) Dres. It needs something to it, (Like maybe an asteroid belt.) otherwise it's just Ike over the sun.

Chat window is closed using the min window, by clicking on chat again. There is also a plus/minus button in the corner of that window to minimize it, and it can be relocated at will by clicking and dragging the top of the window, when minimized or maximized.
