  1. There won't be Mac compatibility at launch of Early Access, but it may come later after the launch of 1.0.
  2. Huh, I didn't know that. I don't really follow AMD, so assumed since the 6000 series was a generation behind that the performance would be too. My bad.
  3. @ 80 bucks, it's not really worth it to go for a cheaper, less powerful option. Makes more sense to spend the extra 100 for supiror performance. If you could find a 7000 series AMD for cheap, then I would say go for it since the 7000 series has the same performance as the 3000 series from Nvidia. True. I am excited to see what people can do with the new wing system.
  4. But where's the Kerbal spirit in using the engine and not trying a death defying maneuver?
  5. Please, we're still going to cobble together a mosaic of microscopic wing segments. How else will we build the planes of Ace Combat? Or any of the thousand other fictional planes that are the size of a small city.
  6. Stock animated attachment would be so nice to have! But in all seriousness, I do wonder how stable those wings are. Again, we've seen the wobbles in the latest video...
  7. I wonder if the "canard like wings" will be able to get that big. Can you imagine an absolute unit of a canard the size of a wing in that photo just moving?
  8. The most rescent one. Early access annocement: At around the 8:55 mark.
  9. I think this thread has gotten a little derailed... or a lot derailed... So, let's get it back on the tracks. I'm wondering how stable this giant plane is. We've seen that the wobbles are back, we can see the large craft in the rescent video wobbling due to the lack of struts. I wonder if they've implemented the autostrut feature already and if they have, how good it is at handling large planes, like this big boy.
  10. You want to get to To Be Announced. Going their directly will cost you lots of Delta V. Deb Deb has a gas giant with a moon. Using said gas giant and moon could save you Delta V, but you have to do a minor aerobrake to line up with the moon.
  11. What about aerobraking to use gravity sling shot? Would that be beneficial to interstellar craft?
  12. It has nothing to do with the "ongoing development." It's a silly meme you took as "referring to ongoing development." But it is simply a silly meme. Doesn't even mention KSP 2.
  13. The videos that the KSP 2 team first posted said that they were remaking the game from the ground up. It's also common knowledge at this point. That's either a screenshot of KSP 1 or a render of KSP 1. You can't use that as evidence for KSP 2.
  14. It has been confirmed mant times that KSP 2 has been written from the ground up.
  15. Aerobraking isn't impossible, you'll just have to be very careful. It also depends on the planet. Aerobraking on Kerbin probably wouldn't do anything, but aerobraking at Jool would probably show results. Of course, it could be a heat shield against interstellar medium. From what I understand, interstellar medium can have hot gases in them, so having a heat shield might work for that? Of course, physical material will chip away at the heat shield too, so your heat shield becomes a regular shield at that point, chipping away at the material kind of like entry heat would. Not really a necro as necro kind of implies off topic, at least from my understanding, that's how the mods see it. Since this information is still relevant, it's not off topic and ergo not necro. Hmmm, another thought is that it's a heat shield, and they're testing the heat generation system while also testing interstellar craft, so the heat shield could literally be just a test part that they brought along for the ride. Which we all know people are going to do. Don't tell me you're not going to dive bomb Kerbin or whatever planet at interplanetary (Or even interstellar) speeds, because we all know everyone will do it at one point... for "science"
  16. I will admit, you are correct, but those games are far and few in between. It's better to say that a game will never look like the cinematic trailers than to try and hunt down the Blue Moons, at least imo.
  17. Games will NEVER look like cinematic trailers. You would need basically NASA super computers to run the game. Cinematic trailers are just that CINEMATIC, they are not representative of the actual game. Footprints are coming, but other things are very much more important. Like making sure there's a descent frame rate, making sure bugs are squashed. Remember this is EARLY ACCESS, more features will come with time, but footprints, which are purely cosmetic, are not on the list of priorities.
  18. I probably should have added a little stipulation that the release time might be an hour or two off. But general rule of thumb, iirc, is that it's 11/12 EST/CST on Steam
  19. Well, we are about 45 days, 8 hours and 3 minutes from Early Access. A month and a half! I hope ya'll are ready!
  20. If they stick to the supposed schedule, around the 27th of this month.
  21. No point in deleting it. Just keep all of it. Add relevant data when it comes out and when 1.0 comes out, lock the thread.
  22. Well, tell him to make it the near near near future. 49 days is still too long to wait.
  23. I think monoprop became Methalox or simply Methane too.
  24. I suspect it will spawn as if it was trying to use only one runway, so you would have to manually drive it on to both.
  25. It was confirmed that not all, if any, craft will have IVAs at launch of EA.
