  1. Yeah, I wasn't entirely sure which to use. Gunter just said "Saturn I Bk 2", but there's like 2 or 3 block 2 designs. I just now noticed they actually have a picture of Pegasus 1 on the page. I see that I also used the wrong color scheme. The bottom tank should have the black stripes.
  2. No, it has been explicitly stated that KSP 2 will NOT be available for pre-purchase. Everyone has to wait for it to release at 12 PM CST on February 24th. No pre-orders.
  3. I'm not saying it's bad, I'm saying to be smooth the time warp system might have to go through all the numbers instead of instantly jumping around.
  4. I mean, I don't see the point in letting someone choose to go 5.52x speed. Why allow decimals? Yeah, real time data and not on-rail predetermined data.
  5. Sorry, what I meant was the system would probably need to go through all the steps to be smooth. Not necessarily stopping, but instead of jumping from 100 to 1000, it could go through all the steps. Accleration on rails and acceleration off rails are two separate monsters though. One calculates real time data and the other calculates predetermined routes.
  6. To be smooth, it might have to be implemented I'm every step. 2x, 3x, 4x... 15x... 30x, 31x... etc
  7. You can't really combine the two. 2x physics warp is not the same as 2x time warp. Different calculations completely.
  8. Concerned, definitely concerned. There's no way they would release early, at least imo. Of course, until there's official announcement, we can't really do much and I wouldn't worry too much. A delay is upsetting, but if they found a bug that will affect the game's launch, better to delay than to launch the game with said bug. There's really no way to tell if it was Steam or Intercept. SteamDB doesn't give a lot of information.
  9. Well, like I said, persistent rotation may be in game, not persistent controls. You could initiate the rotation, time warp, then un time warp to halt the rotation.
  10. Neptune, yes, but there are giant ice+rock planets which are called "Mini-Neptune" due to their size. Too big to be "Super Earth" and too small to be "Gas Giants." Those are the planets I'm referring to. Edit: Some Mini-Neptunes have water, so 'roving' is probably the wrong word. 'Subbing' is probably a better term... though, would the probe still be called a rover if it's a submarine? Submarine rover? So, 'roving' might be appropriate... hmmm. If Persistent rotation is in game, you could use time warp to turn around.
  11. There's little to no information about it, so all we can do is speculate and base our opinions on things like Persistent Thrust for KSP 1. Physics warp will probably be in game. It will probably allow for faster than 4x speed as well, though not too much higher. Probably 8x speed. A new physics warp system will be needed if they add plants such as Super Earths or Mini Neptunes. Seriously, imagine roving around on a Mini Neptune, that would be slow and boring without Physics Warp. It will of course be separate from Time Warp. Time Warp can't be used in atmo, and I doubt it will be buggy because it's being made by professionals and not backyard programmers. Time Warp and "on-rails warp" is the same thing. I doubt Time Warp will be allowed in Atmo since that would cause so many problems. Speed limits? I think you mean warp limits, in which case, yes, because the closer to the planet, the more the game has to render and that can cause issues.
  12. We don't know if KSP 2 is CPU heavy or GPU heavy, so asking about VRAM is kind of pointless. But the more VRAM you have, the better in most cases.
  13. Smashing into the arches will do nothing. Destructible terrain was not added. You'd just be killing your rocket, and crew.
  14. Not bad. Not bad at all. Also, 128 gigs? Damn. You could run like... 6 installs of KSP with that.
  15. How many frames did you get with the triple Daedalus engined interstellar craft next to the fueling depot? 1 FPM? Also, holy cow, not 1, not 2, but 3 Daedalus pulse drives? You really wanted to go lightspeed didn't you? Eh, More like 43 at the time of your posting. As of my posting this, we have (Assuming a launch at exactly 12 PM CST): 42 Days, 12 hours, 2 minutes, and 5 seconds.
  16. So as of right now, "Nuptune like planet" (Yes, I realized I misspelled it) is leading the pack in first, followed by Dwarf Planet in second and then Captured Rogue Planet in third. Hmmm, having a ice giant with a thick gas atmosphere would be a welcome challenge. A sort of super sized Eve. I'm kind of against the idea of a dwarf planet, since Eeloo exists and fills that void well enough. Captured Rogue Planet would definitely be interesting, and quite lore friendly.
  17. People ALWAYS wants faster speeds. Trust me, someone will want a time warp that gets you 5 lightyears in 5 seconds.
  18. As far as we know, there's little to no integrated mechjeb. Of course, we've heard nothing about automation safe for the 'resupply route' automation. As far as rocket flying automation, there's no info. True, but I can see people porting current planets into KSP 2. I mean, there's always someone that does that little quick and dirty port. Alright, "Even better timewarp" with FASTER than KSP 2 stock time warp. I give it 9 hours, tops.
