Ok first off, the video below is only here because its a parody of the artists original song and because I wish to use it to see who else recognizes the original song from which this 16 second uber one commercial drew inspiration from. I am NOT endorsing or promoting uber in any way, shape or form. So, who recognizes the real original song? 173903062023

One sentence you could say to annoy an entire fan base?

i dont care what branding or badges say, this is not a jeep. Its a truck pretending to be a jeep. 204603052023 -
Make a wish... and have it horribly corrupted!
AlamoVampire replied to vexx32's topic in Forum Games!
Granted. But to access your wish you must yield acceptance of your wish to the kraken and pay a fee of 1,000$ to the lawyer. i wish i had a had that had had a had that was a had that had the had. 192103022023 -
Timewarp. Parts counts, mod compatibility ALL make multiplayer more complicated. Please go through all the threads discussing how its far more complicated. But as my final pair of examples: your pc can handle a max part count of say 200 parts in physics range at once. Mine can comfortably handle say 1000 before it starts to even hint at strain. I can safely get say 60fps at my station that has with my current ship say 1250 parts. You get 60fps at a max of 200. You need fuel, i have it. Does my monstrosity make you go from frames per second to minutes per frame? Or how about time warp? Does my need to warp from LKO to an eeloo encounter and then to eeloo screw you up? Im warping YEARS into the future from your perspective. Are we no longer in the same temporal frame of reference? Did my multi year time war catastrophically screw you? This is but the tip of the complications. Ive said all this over and over and over year after year in thread after thread. Multiplayer is more complicated than adding mechjeb as mp has more things to consider. You dont see that? 154203022023 154503022023 155103022023

@Periple um no. Multiplayer is far more complicated. Timewarp, parts counts, mod compatibility and so much more. Im done. <walks away> 140603022023

@pandaman then why was the mod dark multiplayer elevated to feature and mechjeb wasnt? Both camps were equally vocal/loud and yet here we are. I want desperately to say more but ive said all i can over the years. 132203022023

Glad im not the only one who swears they saw procedural solar panels! Im about to say a very unpopular thing but he did listen to some fans (or someone did) because multiplayer is a thing or rather will be, but where is my unpopular thing? Other fans are constantly ignored, as many if not more over the years have clamored and begged for mechjeb to be made stock but us autopilot fans get ignored. And before anyone says it automation in the background so does not come close to being enough to count. But my opinion is my opinion (but i am right about us being ignored about getting mechjeb or a feature equivalent thing getting added). Id say procedural fairings (mod) being made stock counts too because stock “fairings” are a nightmare in ksp1 and if matt lownes video that i referenced means anything they look worse now… 120503022023

Procedural Parts
AlamoVampire replied to GizmoMagui's topic in KSP2 Suggestions and Development Discussion
@Sea_Kerman to be fair ALL fairings even the “fairings” in stock fall into either category. Even (my opinion on the craft in the “thumb nail” in your example) that hideous monstrosity falls into the egg side, if a bit pointed. The reason this is true is aerodynamics. Your fairing no matter how (im so not talking about interstage here, but if you insist, Procedural Fairings made them as simple as simple gets, but we are talking top of rocket so back on track) fat or thin, ALL will be either conic or egg, only differences will be just how anemic or obese the fairing. 034303022023 -
Procedural Parts
AlamoVampire replied to GizmoMagui's topic in KSP2 Suggestions and Development Discussion
@Sea_KermanIm certain you have either never used the mod Procedural Fairings or have extremely limited experience with it. I say this having enough extensive experience with the mod to know youre wrong. The mod has infinite shapes (regardless if you use egg or conic shaped) that INSTANTLY form to a shape that fits your payload. It has multiple symmetry settings the same as regular symmetry mode. Place a fairing base, choose the number of fairing sections ie 2 or 4 as just an example, choose if you want a conic or egg shaped fairing and take that fairing nub and drop it onto a node and bam instant fairing. Done and dusted. Need to alter the payload? Shape/size change? Instant adaptability. No faffing about with multiple layers. 1 fairing nub onto 1 node and youre done. The only limitation is you. The stock “fairings” do not have this ease or speed or adaptability. Yes SOME players can get close to the speed, but will still lack the instantaneous adaptability that the gold and diamond standard Procedural Fairings has. Why they still will not go with a superior fairing system like Procedural Fairings baffles me. 030503022023 030603022023 -

Please make the current “fairings” into the fairings we see in the ksp1 mod Procedural Fairings. Please. 014803022023 -

@darthgently its possible, but again, taking them out of the equation my point still stands given procedural wings, add in radiators and you augment my points strength. The fact they took a bad “fairing” set from stock ksp1 and if the video i referenced above by matt lowne is any indication they made them worse. A fact that just blows my mind. Given that again the mod procedural fairings (which may have been abandoned as ive not seen it updated in a long while) is by far the diamond and gold standard for what fairings should be was not adopted into ksp or ksp2 blows my mind. They had a PERFECT opportunity to give us proper fairings by duplicating how that mod works (other mods were incorporated into later iterations of ksp1 and now we see one being touted to many cheers <im looking at you multiplayer > being folded into ksp2) and fold it in but they dont… its frustrating to me. Will this stop me from EVENTUALLY getting ksp2? No, but other factors might, but how things unfold will show me if ksp2 is worth my money. I already stepped back once after seeing how fumbled things are right now. 213803012023

@Strawberry i could have sworn i saw something late last year about procedural solar panels but, even removing those and even ignoring radiators, my point still stands firm. 210203012023
