Great, I can't wait. I will be clearing my KSP and starting a fresh install to clear up any bugs I am currently seeing. Which is unfortunate but meh, thats KSP.

double post

Great job, one suggestion. When you present an imgur album drop everything the # and everything after it so it scales right in the forums. An imgur link is linked like this [ imgur] xxxxxx [/ imgur] (No spaces)

LOL, so true.

[0.23]asmi's ECLSS Mod (current version - 1.0.15) - Life Support Mod
Hodo replied to asmi's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
There is no output log for it, I have tried to look to see myself. It just hard locks up no log. And it is random, very random. -
They should pull heat away. But even sitting on the ground with nothing on except the heat pumps they generate heat. They don't pull anything away.

Kerbin Circumnavigation Challenge!
Hodo replied to OTehNoes's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Unfortunately a quick search would have told you this first. I know I did a passenger liner version of this very same challenge a few months back. Still have the craft file somewhere, loved that thing, a mach 4, 60 passenger airliner with range to fly around Kerbin twice. Granted I used B9 parts but I can't stand the stock parts for aircraft. And now that I have the RSS+RF+AYJ I highly doubt I am doing this type of challenge again anytime soon. It takes 20minutes to get out to the island base now at mach 1. -
I quit giving a hot **** about what you had to say after you used the the term Strawman Argument. I see every kid now use that whenever they get an answer they don't like. wah wah "strawman argument" wah wah. I am done with conversating with you, so have a coke and smile and go back to your kiddy skool corner and be a good boy and let the adults talk.

[0.23]asmi's ECLSS Mod (current version - 1.0.15) - Life Support Mod
Hodo replied to asmi's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Anyone running into a random lockup or crash after installing this mod? There is no error, just spinning ring of death. Memory usage peaked out at 1.75GB out of the 8GB I have available. Which is WELL below the 3.4GB that usually crashes in KSP. -
Quick question. How do those heat sink fins work? When I install them and turn them on they get hotter.
-
One last suggestion and this will help you out with piloting your future SSTOs. Change the information your KER shows you. A lot of the information you have on there now is pointless. Look at a few of the pictures in this album of one of my SSTO space fighter planes for the information I use for piloting.

One minor bug I have found. The all of the jet engines with after burner do not generate electricity when in non-afterburning mode.
-
Noticed something else about the RSS mod with the Kerbin 6.4. The island base is a hole in the ground at the island. There is nothing there.
-
Now up the difficulty and get the FAR, DRE, RSS mod with Real fuels and the AYJ jet engine mod... you will be happy when you break mach 1 with a jet and bring it back.

Which would you rather have FIRST?
Hodo replied to agentexeider's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Given the choices, Multiple Star systems. I already have enough Multiplayer games that I play and I don't want to deal with another troll internet community ruining a great game with their cries for EZ mode. -
I don't think he danced around anything. He gave you the answer to the question you asked, you may not have liked that answer but it was an answer none the less. If you wanted a different answer perhaps you should have thought out your question better. I had to read your question 3 times before I understood what you were trying to say.

Ok I thought you had to stay in contact with the ground the whole time.
-
One problem with this challenge, the wheels come apart at 60m/s so the wheels will cause it to fly apart.
-
Ok you are hauling WAY to much liquid fuel with you. Change out those tanks with LFO tanks so you can take as much oxidizer as you can. And you are still going WAY to slow before you change over to your rocket engines. You need to be going at least mach 4 before you change over to your rocket. You can get there below 25km alt pretty easy with those engines, but they drop off real fast after 3.5. So I would look at changing them out with the stock turbojet engines.

Kethane Pack 0.9.2 - New cinematic trailer! - 1.0 compatibility update
Hodo replied to Majiir's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I am just looking to figure out how to resize the grid so it fits the RSS Kerbin planets. -
I like my rocket stage to be TWR of at least .8-1.5:1 ratio. The higher the ratio the less amount of time I will spend in that stage.
-
Ok, several minor problems with your craft and flight profile. 1- your CoT is slightly higher than the CoM which is pushing the nose down under max thrust. 2- you have 1 intake per jet engine, which is limiting your overall altitude. I suggest adding another set of intakes somewhere on the aircraft. 3- lower your climb profile. I usually climb at 35-45deg till 12-15km alt then bring it down to 10-15deg to gain as much speed as I can till 25-30km altitude. Those D30s will die off around mach 3-3.5 which means you are losing most of your thrust at that point. You will need another 1400m/s roughly to get to orbital velocity. 4-The rockets you are using while cool, are horribly inefficient. I would suggest switching over to a pair of the standard boosters. My goal when I fly my SSTOs is to gain as much speed as I can before I have to kill the jet engines. In FAR that is around mach 3-4 if I am using jets, around mach 5-6 if I am using SABREs or RAPIERs. Other than that it is a decent looking first SSTO. I suggest checking out a few of the craft in my thread of SSTOs that I have made. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/56945-Hodo-Creations-SSTO-craft-designs-and-files-for-those-who-want-them Unfortunately I won't be making anymore anytime soon as I am going for a more realism setup, which means I need to relearn some skills but give me a few weeks and I will be back at it with SSTOs for a RSS sized Kerbin and using Real Fuels with the AYJ Jet engine plugin that sets the jets to be more realistic. So far I am happy I made an aircraft that goes Mach 2.

Thank you, awesome!

[1.3.1] Ferram Aerospace Research: v0.15.9.1 "Liepmann" 4/2/18
Hodo replied to ferram4's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I have real fuels, just making sure. Finding it a bit more challenging with the RSS... and I like it. Haven't made a SSTO plane yet, but made a SSTO rocket by accident.... Didn't realize that 10km/s d/v is a bit more than needed when sitting on the launch pad. Didn't need the second stage to do anything other than de-orbit the craft, and I could have done that in the first stage had I put more RCS thrusters on it.- 14,073 replies
