  1. A manned Moho return is next for me. I'm re-vamping my modular designs to accommodate the delta-v requirements.
  2. You control the prograde and retrograde markers, they should not control you. Pull the prograde marker, push the retrograde marker. Once you get this the navball becomes your friend.
  3. 13. Get a polar orbit at 325km...around Kerbol.
  4. Yes. With the round ones up front and the square ones in back. Then some "neon" effects underneath. Lowrider rovers will be awesome.
  5. Where are you in the tree? If you don't have Skippers unlocked Mun landings are very hard to pull off due to the fuel you need to de- and re-orbit. Minmus is much easier to do with 45's and 909's.
  6. None of the above. Really. I don't want the RAM footprint bloated out on crap I don't care about, and everything on that list falls into that category for me.
  7. The Big Pig finished its Jool expedition, although it wasn't as complete as I hoped. The engineer responsible for the lander assembly didn't put a docking port on, so there was no way to resume the trip and explore Bop and Pol after it separated when it landed on Val. The craft returned to Kerbin with roughly 6k of delta-v left. All in all, this was a great test of the performance of the Big Pig!
  8. Can someone give me the skinny for doing science on an asteroid? I saw a lot of captures during the marathon, but I didn't see anyone doing science.
  9. Docking. It took me forever to figure out that I need to point my target port north/south. Once I did that I docked easily. Things I have yet to master: Eve & Tylo returns, and landing a capsule at KSC. I probably could master landing at KSC if I bothered to orbit Kerbin on returns, but it takes more fuel so I don't.
  10. Back off the colored lights, dude! *raises fists* Now if we could get a blink timer slider, they would be complete.
  11. I'm going to save the .sfs files as text and try a merge. Sounds good in theory.
  12. Nice! Docking opens up a lot of new mission and design strategies. Enjoy!
  13. Agreed. Also, Semilatus Rectum would be a great punk band name.
  14. Between the SLS parts and the improved joints I will be able to put more parts on my payloads. 2/3 of my part count currently is boosters and struts. With .23.5 I see that dropping to 1/3.
  15. Are the results of the two recent community polls going to be released somewhere?
  16. I had a great time watching the marathon, and am psyched about ARM. Thanks, Squad!
  17. I did my first manned landing on Layethe, and was able to re-dock with the orbiter with .7 units of fuel remaining. Then I toweled off a lot of sweat.
  18. If I wanted to play Orbiter, I'd play it. If I wanted cartoon I'd play Spore. KSP is in between these two extremes and has enough realism to get the point of "space travel is hard" while not bogging itself down in micromanage-itis.
  19. The asteroids I've seen so far look fairly spherical, so this may not be too big of a deal. If they were ovoids or irregular then this would be of concern.
  20. I think what he means is we input the text like we do on flags. This is a good idea, and I would like to see it happen.
  21. Rather than subject you to a wall of text, I'll let the pictures tell the story: To those who say Porcine Avionics only knows how to do massive over-engineering, we would like to point out the Layethe lander re-docked with the Big Pig with only .8 units of fuel left in its tank. If that's not precision, what is? More to come as Project Big Pig continues its exploration of the Jool system. Next stop: Val.
