  1. Everyone is spamming you wish screenshots xD. Do you feel wanted?
  2. Someone has to make a mod for this somehow.. And also all of the KSP wheels you have in sketchfab! Those tractor treads are pretty cool! And also that TF2 flamethrower... I'd use that any day.
  3. I used to lift of the Mun normal like you until I took a tipped lander to the knee! Yeah this actually worked. I accidentally tipped the rocket over on landing so I decoupled the return stage and the rover, flipped the base right side up, and used the rover as a launch ramp xD. Contingency systems my friends!
  4. Sarcasm? XD I tried basing that edit off of you're first scene paste from a few pages back. I hope it's what you meant. Nik that control room is amazing! The sled test is amazing! The truck is amazing! Super cool guys.
  5. Alright I just wrote up my thoughts and expansion on Vagani's edited first scene. Here it is plain but its open for edits in the google doc. - Music begins. - Wind sound effect pans in from right and continually plays through the intro. - Fade from black to a scene from the ground surface of Kerbin's northern ice cap with a heavy snow storm present. - Switch to a close up shot of Amundsen and Falcon Kerman pushing the worn sled and in winter gear. Wind sound effects are loud. The text “1784. First northern expedition†shows on screen. - Jump to scene of Amundsen watching the path ahead and Falcon is pulling the sled. Falcon yells forwards "How much farther to the pole, Amundsen?". Amundsen says "I can't say in this storm, Falcon. We'll have to turn back soon if this storm keeps up!" - Switch to a higher altitude shot of Kerbin's polar snow and ice cap, showing the barren landscape. Wind effects are quieter from this distance. Movie title appears as the music continues to play in the background. - Switch back to the two kerbals and loud wind effects again. The two explorers walk forwards through the blizzard for a short time. - Footstep sound effects cue and a sound effect of ringing metal/bells begins to play. Amundsen walks to the right of the screen and is soon followed by Falcon. Dialogue for “What's that sound?†appears. - The group walks to the top of the nearest hill and pause. The camera pans past the sled, past the two kerbals, and over the hill to reveal a gigantic metal structure/pillar standing in the middle of the next icy taiga. As the camera passes over the hill and reveals the structure the music intensifies to bring out meaning in the structure. - The scene ends with a gigantic beam of light shooting out of the tower into the sky and then the screen blinks off to a black screen as the intro song ends.
  6. Ah hello! In regarding your "What we need section", I suggest we use a single google doc for all this. I've made and used google docs for a number of KSP collaborative projects before and they've all worked extremely well. I'll have a prototype document here in a second. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1vQgYkGZDM0m9cU8JacmY0VhhHJeueSTt3vbZtZWenGY/edit - Heavy editing in progress. Please join in editing if you want
  7. XD sorry I just have to quote that again. Thread moved post. Ever. EVER.
  8. Mixing terms previously mentioned, you could use Vertical Height or "V-Hgt". If you're also adding in measurements for Width and depth though, I suggest you go with the GUI labeled "Door/Hangar dimensions" and having boxes comparing the "clearance vs. build height" and "width vs. max width" (Or whatever term for max width you want).
  9. Yeah I was under that impression too :/. I'll still try and participate exempt of building, but I wish it was stock only too. Maybe Upsilon you and I can make our own movie? Stock? Anyhoo, Vagani what do you have in mind for the rover design/planet environment? Is it going to be a speedy buggy, or a mobile base?
  10. I'm checking out planetshine now. I didn't know of its existence . Is it particularly laggy?
  11. The real problem for me is plain part number limit. B9 itself is pushing it for me . I was thinking this was more of a "Stock part + Visual enhancers" project. I'd love to do all that I can outside of running Kerbal with mods (Meaning I can still build stock craft for you if wanted). I suggest you look at my Spruce Moose II though. I made a gorgeous 350-ish part count cargo plane with a working door. It'd be great for carrying equipment and such to the outpost.
  12. Tell me your thoughts on them, environment mods are also needed, we could wait for astronomer to release the interstellar pack, that looks amazing at the moment I'm afraid I won't be able to do much building or recording with that mod list... Cross me off of building and recording . I can still build stock craft and do everything outside of Kerbal.
  13. If you pick me, choose one of these three... Note that the imgur album initial loading is weird so to see the first image you'll have to click on the second and click back to the first. That should work.
  14. ...Note: This was done in, like, fifteen minutes. I am capable of much better art than this... Here's one of my finest. (Hi, Avera9eJoe!) Other than the fact that the Kerbal is done completely wrong in every way possible, everything was sketched out badly, and the text sucks, what do you think of the overall poster design? I love it! Especially how the letters look liek they're beeing shlooped up by the tower. Reminds me very much of Halo Forerunner structures. I'd love it if the tower looked similar. A critique, I suggest you draw the kerbal from his shoulder rather than behind him. So only his helmet side is on the screen. My opinion. OH! You know what, we might be able to get this guy who used to make epic art renders to make us a poster. You know for kicks.
  15. I've found that Chatterer causes an unusual number of crashes when I tried it. I definitely suggest deleting it or at least moving it and try running KSP. You might be surprised. Or not
  16. Nice! Almost sounds like the middle section of Jahzzar's "Clap Your Hands". After about the first minute in. Some fast snapping sir!
  17. Quick little jot on what I post here. I'm just giving suggestions so you can disregard anything I post if it doesn't make sense. I'm just giving examples and concept art and seeing if you like it. On that note... If the planet the team is investigating has an atmosphere and requires a super durable rover, I find this general shape of rover to be super cool: Obviously it'd need major modifications, but the body shape is pretty cool imo. More pictures and "building instructions" here: http://fichtenfoo.net/blog/in-progress-%C2%BB-armored-dune-hopper/ And again I'm just throwing out concept art for you all. For ideas. Vagani, the rover is in your hands
  18. I'm going to start designing a mega-VTOL lander I think. Again looking like Prometheus.
  19. I'm always a fan of 100% stock KSP videos but with this style of video I think going to stylistic mods is the best option. Tweakscale could be useful and Firespitter is also probably a good idea. Which mods are used to remove Kerbals helmet and retexture their head? We should create a master mod list somewhere. Oh and @ Vagani, is the amount of info coming in overwhelming, or what you had in mind?
  20. WE PLAY THAT IN PEP BAND!!!!! I love that song! And I agree! Rep!
  21. Laden it with cargo! You've gotta make it look like it has enough supplies to go like four weeks without resupply. Looks awesome. Oh and as to attaching the kerbal, try experimenting with landing gear extended around the forwards kerbal. You might be able to get him to stock pull it. Try and keep mod count low.
  22. Nothing special, but I have a small altered collection of this classic space icon. First to guess it gets rep! Simple icons are my favorite. Flags plastered with design aren't my favorite, though they can still look cool.
