Any chance I could get in on this? If so, what size of ship/ships would I need at this point?

Community interest in Gas planet 2
HafCoJoe replied to LethalDose's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I'd very much love to see another gas planet - flushed out with monoliths and more than anything, a VOLCANIC MOON (Meaning it would be volcanic red in color and the "water" would be lava textured) - like "Mustafar" from Star Wars except called like "Mustafus" or something. -
Hmm... you know, this could make a fantastic mod. Someone post a request!

I am planning a new PC for STREAMING KSP. Do I want/need anything special?
HafCoJoe replied to HafCoJoe's topic in The Lounge
I may upgrade to 16 gigs of RAM eventually, but 8 is good for now (Especially considering I've been streaming and movie making with 4GB of RAM on my old rig - and I've got good video quality if I do say so myself ) What I'd be upgrading next would be either RAM or video card. -
We'll probably take as many people as are wanted, though I can't guarantee everyone's stuff will be used. Make sense?

I've been upgrading this rig and this is what it's currently set at: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Undu...nj4D If this looks good to you, that's great. Thanks so much for your information Jatwaa! I'll be mentioning you in my first stream with the new rig. -
Maybe there should be a writing session for those of you in Europe/Asia/Australia AND one for those in the Americas? Like say a session in a time slot exactly eleven hours from when I posted this (I posted this at 11:ooam so meaning a session that would would start at 10:00pm for me and I think 11:00pm for upsilon).

As in streaming on Twitch. I posted a question on the PCPartPicker forum as well. You can probably just judge their information and tell me if you find that to be the case. http://pcpartpicker.com/forums/topic/65511-modest-nvidia-based-ksp-streaming-pc-does-this-look-good They seem to suggest sticking with stock fans and upgrading my CPU. Does that sound better? -
Hello everyone, Avera9eJoe here. I am planning out a new computer for under $750 made for streaming KSP. I know I need a beefier graphics card than other requirements but is there anything special I need? Here is my current list: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/UndullingBlade/saved/hHnj4D Any information you can give me would be useful.

Aww 3:00 again...

Adding it to my playlist now! Awesome.

It says you posted this at 10:46 AM. What time toes it read for you? I'm in PST and I want to match time zones correctly.

I really wish Ud and Toop where in a planet factory mod! Or if they where randomly placed around the solar system for that matter. You could add Toop as an additional planet around Jool (Seeing as it's the analogue of Iapetus IRL if I recall correctly), and add Ud around Ike! #savethemagicboulder Ud looks like the UFO on Kerbin so I assume it is one. As for a planet request if you are so acquiesced to incline, I would love to see a suped-up KSP version of this old classic: That's Mustafar from Star Wars. You could call it Mustafus or something of your own invention . I didn't know you could draw as well as run an awesome YouTube channel!

THOSE ENGINES!!!!!!!!!!! I first started playing in v0.13 and I searched up "KSP mods" on the internet (mind you this was well before any major mod hosting site was around). I downloaded that engine (which was also red for me) as well as some other pieces which I learned how to edit config files from. When I joined, the jet engine wasn't a stock part yet and the only planetary body there was was the Mun... Good old days indeed.

The problem I see in your plane is that the tail is too close to the ground. You can't take off because you can't tilt the nose up due to the landing gear in the back. If you watch a plane take off (Which I'm sure you have ), you can see how it only gets into the air after it tilts considerably up. CORRECT SOLUTION: Put the rear landing gear directly below the center of mass, and put them far enough down on the plane that you can tilt the nose up without scraping the back. COOLER SOLUTION: (Means "Jet Assisted Take Off" but I really think it should be called "boostahs"). Really cool, relatively simple, works well, but sorta silly. I've used this for one of my larger planes which I wanted to land/take off in a short stretch of runway.

Anyone know how? I'm posting this question here as it doesn't really fit under "unmodded KSP support" or "general" or the rest. If there is a better place, please tell so I can post there instead.

I just made my largest plane to date. Scratch that, my largest CRAFT do date! Would this be of any use? It has no cargo hold but it could still be used as such. Landing the laggy Behemoth... Largest Mk3 plane to date.

Where you using hack grav for any test flights? I once built a ramp next to the VAB and the next day found it spread across the orbit of Dres in individual pieces just like this. Are there any other random bits of debris labeled the same? They would be under debris rather than ships in the tracking center. Oh and a note as to the use of mechjeb. I don't use mechjeb at current day, but when I was just starting out I originally learned how to dock, align orbits, and transfer planets with mechjeb. All of which would have taken me much more time to figure out if I hadn't used Mechjeb. Later!

Merry late Kristmas! - Discussion and forum Christmas presents
HafCoJoe replied to HafCoJoe's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Thank you so much! I like making touching videos and it's great to know that other people appreciate them as such. One funny note about that video is that I irreparably broke KSP three times while making that video. Hyperedit doesn't like me apparently... Luckily I was smart and backed up everything before hand. If you want to see another touching video, I made this old movie when I was just learning how to stream/film: . If you think it's a slow start, jump to 2:22. I still love that launch! Also note that all the Kerbal speak was done by your's truly . Part three will still live in my heart as the first touching film I made . Watch that one at least xD.Oh and if you're bored and want to watch some other KSP videos without explosions, I have a series currently going on of a huge Duna mission. It's called . That links to the most recent video (Episode 5). The premier video has an explosion but that's it XD. -
Dude nice idea. Using The new cargo bays as engine fairings could both shield the engine, save part count, and look nice. No regrets here! EDIT: I still really wish the black colors in the new vs. old vs. certain Mk2 parts was fixed. You can literally place five spaceplane parts that have a black and white color scheme and all of them will be different. Exemplified in your gorgeous Skylon. I really like that Skylon too! I made a spin off one called which looked similar but has less cargo room.
