  1. It's got something to do with Scartterer I bet. Can you remove it and see if this persists? Only time I've seen this before was underwater.
  2. You could try using the KSP 1.2- link in 1.4.5 perhaps? The config files are different for TR and TRR so they aren't hot-swappable
  3. I honestly have no clue why that's pinned still that advice was meant for the 32bit version of KSP since there was no 64bit version at the time. 32bit programs crash if they get close to 4gb of ram usage and in KSP it was fairly easy to hit that cap if you started installing big visual and part mods. Now that KSP is 64bit that issue is completely obsolete since the program no longer has a cap. Speaking of which, why are you concerned about your RAM usage? So long as you have 8gb+ it has hardly any impact on your game in comparison to your CPU (for physics calculations) and GPU (for visuals/visual mods). Can someone else back me up on this though?
  4. Yes-ish (needs one folder from KSPRC) No (KSPRC is where the texture files come from and Spectra uses Kopernicus to implement them) Yes Yes, and it runs more smothely than Astronomer's, and with more state of the art graphics! I.E. Moving bioluminescence, flickering thunderstorms, multilayered planet fog and dust storms, ablation, etc. See the image gallery. EVE is a must if you want to add clouds; its the only mod that does. Kopernicus adds terrain, but its EVE that adds clouds and atmospheres. You'll have to live with EVE what's so bad about it though? Don't install any portions of Spectra with CKAN; there's a lot of components and there's no way I can guarantee CKAN has everything updated correctly. Also, a lot of the time the mods on CKAN are uploaded by fans, and not the original author. I've never used CKAN for that reason.
  5. How much do you have? I'd suggest 8GB+ but If you're running 64bit than 4 should be fine too technically? Real question is how good your GPU are CPU are .
  6. This is a scatterer config issue if I recall correctly, its not that the land is disappearing but that its getting covered by the atmospheric haze. Don't know how to fix sadly. Blackrack might know?
  7. xD thought as much yeah. To me though it honestly sounds as a small price to pay in respect to everything else it does so well.
  8. I might be mistaken, but this looks tied to the specific Scatterer *pack* you are using and not Scatterer (though there's always a bit of artifacting at the horizon). Who made the rescale pack?
  9. O-O Congrats on the new release! I'll probably update my save this afternoon
  10. I hate to bother him more than I must - he's already aware of the situation you can ask him yourself though if you want
  11. Unknown. Its a shader bug; caused by TextureReplacerReplaced and not WindowShine
  12. Yeah - TRR is what WindowShine is currently running off. @Trekkie148 was wanting me to revert to TR again as its updated for 1.4.4 - the reflection plugin sounds like its still down though.
  13. I was just about to ask if the reflection plugin was working but it sounds like its not? I was just about to ask if you wanted to me update WindowShine to work with your new release I'll wait on that thought though until reflections are up again. Its good to see you again Shaw
  14. D: I'll look into that. Duna in particular I had trouble making Duna's atmosphere work with Scatterer so it has a few extra configs that I had to apply some custom ModuleManager strings to. Did you ever open up the Eve GUI and hit save? If you did it probably broke something. Huh. In that case, remove it if you don't want it. Spectra has custom atmospheres that enable when it doesn't find Scatterer. I often build massive crafts and even on a 1080ti Scatterer causes a lot of lag in that department, so I don't usually play with it. It won't have cool oceans/fading/sunflare, but other than that it still works fine.
  15. 1. Huh... I rarely ever use the tracking station so I'm not sure about this. You should tell Blackrack about it just in case. 2. Read the OP - It's a personal preference. I based Duna's appearance off an ancient visual mod called "Better Atmospheres". Worth looking up if you want to see a bit of history (it was the first ever cloud pack). THIS BEING SAID: Does your Duna look like the one in the pictures in the OP or is it different? There could be something screwy with the most recent release. 3. Read the OP - That's ablation caused by close proximity to the sun. Based off of KSPRC. 4. Could that be the lightning? 5. Are the lines running across the ground parallel to your monitor? If so they're an annoying bug from Scatterer. We have to live with it. 6. ? 7. Read the OP - Personal preference 8. Not sure what the issue you're trying to point out is... 9. Yeah that's an annoying bug with Scatterer we have to live with it. 10. Anything else? P.S. If you haven't, you should really watch the cinematic trailer. It shows a lot of the visual effects you mentioned.
  16. Glad to see you happy! I do my best to reply fast (I usually reply within a day but I've been away from the forum as of late) If you do get any extra planet packs working in parallel to Spectra, I'd love it if you reported back here- might like a peak myself!
  17. Hm.... try going into Spectra\Spectra_configs\Kopernicus_terrain.cfg and deleting everything designated under @body[Sun], so that the config file starts with @Body[Moho]. Might be worth a shot? Don't know whats going wrong though. EDIT: Also, try extracting this into your GameData parallel to the rest of your mods for the bioluminescence on Laythe: Spectra_LaytheBioluminescence
  18. I'm not allowed to distribute it sadly; your best bet is to use the download link in Spectra or similar. Only way to legally get the folder is by downloading all of KSPRC and pulling the folder from there. Sorry for the late reply! [Encryption error. Message undiscernable] Asking if Spectra works with KSP 1.2.2? If you can find copies of Scatterer, EnvironmentalVisualEnhancemente, Copernicus, and TextureReplacer/TextureReplacerReplaced that work in 1.2.2, it might... Though honestly I don't know.
  19. Wish my phone let me do @'s! A ping will have to do I'm all down for beautification. If there's anything in Spectra that you think might work well, feel free to use it. Only exception is Proot's textures since they're under a separate copyright.
