So, the description. Could i use some of that information on the website? And maybe link the documents from the website as well?
-
Thanks! But that information you mentioned. Is that something that could go on the website? It's kinda starved of information right now. So, anyone who has info that should go on the site, just tell me. Also, what is this? https://github.com/christok/ksatsim I found it by accident and it has some info on it i could use, but i don't know where it came from, nor from who. Could someone shed some light?

Yeah Red Iron Crown, I remember them all barking at you that it was already implemented. Went and tested it right there. It doesn't work. I also support this. I mean seriously, its annoying when two of my panels are turned so they don't face the sun, and the other two are blocked, when i'm warping, and i come out to execute a correction, and nope. no electricity. I usually edit the persistence file, and the quicksave just in case, and fill the batteries up. But. I would much rather alt+f12.

Well, google users can comment on the page yes, but i meant like we will discuss stuff here. Once we define phase I, I will compile the information on that page. Meaning that page will consist of all the info on phase I. Also, I broke 100 rep points! I have two rep bubbles! AHHHH! :D

So.... What's with the resources?
Endersmens replied to Strainborm's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I really don't want to get into an argument. It's not really my thing. You're entitled to your opinion. I'll leave it at that. -
Well the background is going to change at some point. Also, I didn't like make every single thing on there. I started with a base. All white, with blocks of random text to fill in. And I've changed all it's parameters and edited colors and moved boxes and added boxes and made more pages. Fun stuff. Well, there are different pages on the site, such as project documents and the "phase I" page, where all this stuff will go. We will discuss it on here, and other places, and it will be compiled there for easy reading.

So.... What's with the resources?

Where is your proof that it would be awful? I think it would be awesome. Also, that's an opinion, so please don't shove it at us like it's a fact. -
Oh and also guys, if you want to check the website out on your own, it's actually already public. I can't figure out how to make it not public. Just search "KSP community cubesat" The first result will be this thread, and the website will be right under it.

So.... What's with the resources?
Endersmens replied to Strainborm's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
So, nobody has brought this up yet I don't think. It was recently announced that KSP would have a "difficulty" panel on starting a new save, and some options would be changeable during play. It seems that it would make a lot of sense to implement the resource system that they had already worked on, and maybe a life support system too, and basically that be hard mode. (Not really, as in it wont be called "hard mode" just that it makes gameplay more difficult) For you people who think those systems are redundant, unnecessary, or just dislikable, just leave the resources and/or life support boxes unchecked. For you who want a little more realistic game, check life support. For you who want a complicated, fun, "giving bases a purpose" game, check resources. If I were SQUAD, I would take a look at doing this. But i'm not SQUAD, so don't take that opinion too hard. I'm sure there are hundreds of reasons they don't do this that I don't know about. But that's just my opinion on the matter. -
I hate to be a pain, but can I get some feedback on the website? So far someone said the space background seemed empty, which will change, and someone told me to change the boreders on the "go now" buttons. Any other feedback besides "awesome?" are the color schemes ok? Should I change the title or information? I'm still in the process of adding information, redirecting links, and creating new pages. So far, on the "things to do" page, there is only one tasks, and that is to find and compile a list of all the hardware necesary, what we can build, and what we need to buy, and LordQ is responsible for that. Well. He volunteered for it. EDIT: Woo! 700 posts!

Thanks! I've only worked on it for about two hours now. But as for the space, there is a galaxy. It's hidden by the body. But that's not the final background for sure. The quality is way to low. So that is definitely highly subjet to change.
-
Thanks. I'm having a problem with the background though. It doesn't fit the page just right, so I have to make it strech to fit the page, or else it repeats and there's seams. Problem is when it stretches it looses quality. Hopefully i'll find a better background soon. Um, I think I can do that. I'll copy the picture, edit it with photoshop, and try copying and pasting it onto the site. That might work. Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. although this goes along with the "what to put on the site" and now "what not to put on the site" Thanks. Do you guys like the color schemes of the body area and sidebars? I'm very limted with the colors i can choose right now. I'm thinking I can look up a color code chart though, and get custom colors. (like colors have names. It's like 6 digits long and random.)

Ok, I changed a lot of visuals on the website. I would like somebody to tell me what they think. Here is what it looked like before I started changing things. And here is what it looks like now. thoughts?
-
It's a generic template, so all that info is filled with nonsense. I've changed the launch date to today, and will change it later when we actually launch. And yes, I want to do that. Still figuring out how.
-
I'm back! Screenshots imbound in a few minutes! Here they are! Keep in mind that lots of things on here are going to change. This is the website, as of now. With about an hours time put into it. I cropped the second image so it would connect with the first one, hopefully seamlessly. If not, oh well. Darn it! Having some issues with microsoft paint. (yes i know. horrible) Its close enough though.
-
Hooray for mobile version! (Well. I still use the full site) I'm gonna keep tabs on this till I get home. So I don't miss anything. I should be back home, and able to post the screenshots in 2 hours or so. (No promises. Women+shopping=lots of time+lots of money spent. You know. )
-
Well. Crap. I have to go to town right now. I will get back on this as soon as I get home. (Gosh I love this. Helping out. Working for you guys. Ahhh I love it! )
-
Well, I could show you the template of the website. There's not much info yet, and it's NO WHERE CLOSE to completion trust me. But you could see the layout of it and what it'll sort of look like. I can take some screenies if you like
-
Yeah, I would actually really appreciate it if you organized the information for me to put on the website. I have to edit the website, and hunting through the forums for information will just take more time. I'm starting to dabble in it. Like right now, I'm putting in a section about the phases of the projects, I'm calling right now phase I, planning and preparations. And I figured a good picture for the phase would be a cube cardboard box. So i'm tinkering with that right now. (downloading photoshop, and GIMP 2)
-
This is going to go on the website, another advantage of having one. An organized center for displaying the information.
-
Alright, work on the Website has commenced, and I am in the process of adding information. K^2, if you want to PM me to work out what you want on the page, go ahead. I'm just guessing at what should be on there, so any imput from you would be gladly accepted. Now, my goals for this website, are to present all the necessary information about this project at one place, instead of spread out across 104 pages of forums, have an official place for people to donate to, including our kickstarter, and as a better place for the core group to discuss plans and timelines and all that good stuff. Any suggestions on anything else that should be included? This isn't all, but I wanna know what you guys think should be on there. Especially from you, K^2.
