SeventhArchitect replied to SeventhArchitect's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Hey guys and gals (dunno if one has actually submitted a single post or acknowledged this yet, but I will address the lasses), sorry for such an absence. I did say that I would update it, and I never did, but today, I'm going to get to it immediately. Again, if you would please check the front page, and if I have asked for more information on your vessel, please provide more information for your vessel. You could be entitled to a few more rewards than just valid entry. 23278, your vessel fits requirements, butyou said that it was a later version. Version has nothing to do with whether or not it's submitable. I will make this known. If you have th epatience, then update it. I would see it a good reason myself if I ever built something amazing in the past versions of KSP. -
I really want this in my game, but the last time I tried using this, my rockets always oriented the heat shield in the back and it pissed me off. (à ² _à ² )

This is a bit of an odd exotic craft, but fits the description well, nonetheless. How did you get this on the Mun, anyway? Yeah, it's a close enough replica, so I won't allow it, but if you amde your own version, this would be an acceptable entry. Not entirely sure what to make of this, qualification-wise. I mean, I've not thought about part clipping at all. Actually, if you think about it, there are more advanced artistic uses within part clipping, and that doesn't exactly give you a cheating advantage, because it still factors mass, how much fuel you have, and on. I think I will allow it. Putting up that there is an exception to part clipping, but other debugs are still not allowed. -

Patfree, yours has not made qualifications. VTOL isn't exactly that exciting, even when it was first discovered as a good idea. Though, if you do make it a vtol vehicular that looks exotic, then go ahead, post it here. In relation, sorry. M1sz, Man, you are just killin' it. You've submitted, like, several, and you are on a roll, but this is a replica, mah dude. Replicas are not allowed. -

Come on, people, there are now plenty of examples on what an exotic vessel is. Make something. -

You're like, the fifth person to post something because it is a good vessel to use to get to other places. As said just under the title, "Aesthetics first, safety last." There is no real aesthetics application here. It just looks slightly cool. On a personal opinion, though, I am insulted that you'd name this "Puddle Jumper." Thats like being the biggest noob in the world. If you don't understand why, then you probably shouldn't even show your face in public until you figure out what a puddle jumper is, because, dude, again, thats insulting. Like, saying, "Justin Bieber is the most manliest man to walk the planet, and his songs are manly", insulting. -

I'll be strictly honest, I highly doubt you made this. There are currently three known KSP Millenium Falcons to date, though. This one being the third, some other guy's humongous one being the first, and that guy who supposedly used ubiozur's welding mod to make his. But, as unwritten as it may be, replicas are not appliable to this. Your applied vessel must be completely original. Though, this rule is flexible. Dude, if you made this ship solely so you could submit it here, then dude, your luck must be horrible. But the good news about this, is that if you did make this vessel, even though it's not qualifiable, you can easily make your own original work. It shouldn't be too hard. -

These are not exotic. It just looks like you slapped something together that doesn't exactly look like a rocket (entirely). You don't have enough detail for it to be exotic. A written part of what exotic is, is (and I am quoting this from the challenge itself), "In KSP terms, when building, an exotic ship would be either complicated, or very complex." First paragraph. I mean, that first pic, the idea of a rapier LFO drive for a larger vessel would be nice, but besides that, I can't see any of this making qualifications. -
How could I use a basic Kiwi Fission Reactor to put something somewhere else, un-upgraded? I currently just got the nuclear parts unlocked in my career, but I have no current ideas for use of this heavy, seemingly worthless thruster style. Maybe I could use it for a power source when paired with a generator, but otherwise, I'm basically scrapping the nuclear drive altogether if I can't figure something out.

I've gone to my 9th rocket. Rocket IX. This rocket sends a Kerbal to orbit Kerbol, then has enough fuel to send it back to Kerbin shortly after. Unfortunately, trying to send a probe to another planet isn't successful, science wise. I do nothing but science missions. Minmus is a good provider. -

Alrighty. Successful Mun landing. Mr. robot earned the Lunar achievement. Now do it in career mode, and you get Pro! > -

I have added the [Pro] Suffix for those who make their vessel within career mode. I have also added the Lunar Achievement for Lunar landers that also make it back. -

Hmmm.Yeah, it does meet requirements, but, the only award it would achieve is Valid Entry. Edit: I've added the Lunar Achievement, in which if it can make it to the Mun/Minmus and back, you earn it. you didn't specify if it could, though. Anyway, on another added note, your vessel has made bare minimum requirements. If the vessel was more spider like in the sense that the "legs" were angled differently, then it would be d more exotic vessel. Just goes to show how simple one could be. One small change is enough. I'll keep that in mind, and I hope others do as well. -

Your ship looks like any regular old multi-part ship. One thing I did specify is it has to look something non-traditional. A multi-part vessel has been done many times, but as I've seen myself, a multi-part exotic vessel has never been done. It's supposed to be made for show, but as the challenge requirements go, it also has to work. Efficiently. Don't take ti the wrong way though, I'm amazed that you could build such a thing. I've yet to make my own properly functioning multipart vessel. I once made a multipart vessel, though, and it ended up looking so cool, but the whole thing had to be scrapped because of how I oriented the left and right fuselages. -

I have posted an updated of the Hall of Class (as in Classy). If you are not listed with your achievements, then your vessel did not make specifications. -

I'm going to try to get this updated nightly from now on. And, if it wouldn't be too much to ask, notify me of the part count for your ship, as well as a few other things. I'll even put up a "Please Label" list.
