Since space games are still kind of a niche genre the original kickstarter goal was set low so they could go to a publisher or a group of investors with proof that there was a market for that kind of game. A lot of people have been concerned with feature creep with every stretch goal but CIG did clarify that stretch goals were just announcing already planned features but wouldn't be totally fleshed out to wha Chris roberts vision was unless the funds could be raised. I do hope I get out what I put into it and that everyone else who has pledged feels to same. As of how much I plan on pledgeing I don't know.
