  1. So how long until we get a Pluto surface map for Texture Replacer?
  2. How long after the flyby until we get a "still here, data incoming "message from New Horizons? About what time EST?
  3. I'm really excited. But I'm also really terrified. Does that make any sense?
  4. Well, according to Wikipedia (which admittedly might not be the most accurate source) Eris has a radius of 1163±6 km. Even assuming it's on the high end, and Pluto's radius on the low end, Pluto should still lead by at least six kilometers. Pretty close either way, and of course Eris's atmosphere (if it has one) might mess things up. Too bad we can't reroute New Horizons to visit Eris next. EDIT: Ninja'd.
  5. So Pluto's bigger than Eris, and Charon is the size of Kerbin? Awesome!
  6. A low Sun orbit is lower than Moho. That rendezvous is not going to be fuel-friendly by any means. I wish there was a hot Jupiter in the game.
  7. Unless said data forces us to redefine the term "planet" without waiting to investigate other Kuiper Belt objects, I highly doubt it.
  8. That presumably depends on what target they choose to visit after Pluto. There are a couple candidates, last I heard.
  9. This may be what you're looking for. There's another one that actually simulates a resupply mission in the background of the game, but I couldn't find it.
  10. That big "crater" we saw a few weeks ago (which will sadly be on the other side of Pluto during the encounter) also complicates things.
  11. I wonder if Squad will ever change Eeloo to look more like Pluto. Also, is Pluto really that bright? Or is the contrast exaggerated to make the surface features more visible?
  12. That's assuming we don't invent warp drive in the next 12,000 years.
  13. I really want a New Horizons hat.
  14. My game glitches out when I load the command pod with this in-game. The screen goes dark, and all the planets have disappeared.
  15. Guys, let's not forget that right now NH is alive and well. It's still in contact with Earth, and we have a week and a half to fix whatever went wrong. We might lose a bit of scientific data during this troubleshooting phase, but I'm (cautiously) optimistic that the probe will be back to normal in time for the flyby.
  16. Well, now I'm terrified. Thank god this happened now, while we have time to fix the problem. Imagine if it happened the day before the flyby.
  17. ExtraPlanetary Launchpads lets you do that.
  18. Thanks for the answers. Turns out I installed the Community Resource Pack to get the spare parts from Dang It to work; removing the extra resources solved the problem.
  19. Pardon my ignorance, but what do MKS and ORS stand for? I mean, where is the button to recycle parts? I can't seem to find the prompts.
  20. Hello, I have two questions. 1) How do I break down parts into Scrap Metal? 2) I came back to the game after a brief hiatus, and found that each planet now has a lot of different resources on it: Karbonite, Minerals, Substrate, etc. I don;t use Karbonite, and I haven't installed or updated any mods in a while. Do you know where all these came from? Also, what's the difference between MetalOre and MetallicOre?
