  1. I know this thread is old, but I'm not necro-posting, because it makes more sense to just update this thread than start a new one. Here's my promised video! This craft has flown to Tylo and back, and I recorded it on tape! More like a file, but whatever. With this comes some new updates - more balanced lander, ladders on both the airplane and the Tylo lander, and unlocked front-wheel steering.
  2. I would probably just write BetterAtmospheres + More or something so that people who have known the mod by its current name will still know it. You could write BetterAtmospheres + whatever-else-you-want-to-write-here. Thanks for replying to my previous question about extending the cloud limits! I guess I won't be doing that if it won't allow me to have volumetric clouds on Jool anyway, but that's fine. Kerbol looks awesome! I'm all pumped for v5!
  3. Just a quick a request... please make Tylo's atmosphere a bit less intense at lower altitudes - like the changes you are making to Mun. Basically, when I'm orbiting at 30 km, I see a semi-thick atmosphere around Tylo (it's not that bad, just slightly on the thick side). On the surface, it's fine. I also have a question - is there an option to extend the draw distance of volumetric clouds? I have a semi-powerful three-year old laptop that I think would be able to handle that. I just want to be able to see spectacular cloud formations below me while I aerobrake around Jool, if possible. Anyway, I love all the changes that are being made! They all look spectacular!
  4. Hey Shope! Thanks for joining the KSP forums! Your craft looks great! But before I can put it into the OP, I need a download link. You can upload the .craft file to one of the example sites mentioned in the original post.
  5. Today I uploaded another episode of my series "Colonizing Tylo." In this episode I sent another Tylo ferry to my base to transfer Kerbals to and from Tylo's surface. I also organized my base a bit and moved some modules closer together. This was really hard to do because my base is on a slope that makes everything want to tip over and explode when I lift off from it. But eventually, I was successful!
  6. Wow, development is really going rapidly here! Somehow I totally forgot to give Thesonicgalaxy some reputation before, but now I was able to express my thanks. I just wanted to say that I agree with vanlock that it would be nice to have the auroras fade away at large distances. Even from the ISS you can barely see the aurora on Earth. I think they're looking great, though! I also think Minmus looks awesome with that slightly toned down fog that now glows in the dark!
  7. That apollo-style lander looks great! Unfortunately, your download link seems to link to an Imgur image rather than the actual download. Added yours!
  8. This isn't my smallest ship, but it is my most impressive small ship. It weighs less than 2 tons (excluding the Kerbal), and can help a Kerbal get to the Mun and back.
  9. I seem to be alone in my preferences, but I thought A looked nicer, and fit more with the atmospheric color at the surface of Laythe. You can see the ground a lot easier as well.
  10. Uh oh, I somehow forgot about this thread for a while. Been so busy with spring stuff, and getting our garden set up. I promise I'll put all these new crafts into the OP today. EDIT: All added. Also corrected the grammatical mistake mentioned by iDan122. On a side note, I'm going to be using mhoram's lifters in my YouTube channel from now on. They look so awesome!
  11. I take it you're trying to gather science from around Kerbin. If that's the case, I think an airplane plane would suit you a lot better.
  12. Oh! I accidentally removed it, thinking it added RealSolarSystem configurations to the game. I'll add it back, definitely. By the way, the sunset development is looking fantastic!
  13. Thanks! I might go to one of these planets in my YouTube channel sometime.
  14. I think Tylo is the hardest place to build a base, just because the delta-V requirements are so high. Also, due to the orbital speed around Tylo, it's very difficult to do a precision landing at a base. That's exactly why I'm building a base on Tylo - for the challenge. (Click my signature for more info.)
  15. Start building SSTOs. Build one that can go into orbit, then build one that can go to Minmus. Then to the Mun. Then Duna, Laythe, and beyond! Subscribe to Cruzan to learn how to build SSTOs. Or , in which I deliver a payload to Tylo with an SSTO.If you hate SSTOs, then build a base on another planet. It will be 500 times more fun with Kethane and Kerbal Attachment System installed, but you don't have to have those mods if you don't want to. By the way, I'm running a series on my YouTube channel in which I build a base on Tylo. It's pretty big already! Click on my signature to learn more. But now that my advertisement is done, here's some more ideas: go to the Mun and back with a craft that weighs as little as possible. Oh, by the way, (ahem, I thought I said my advertisement was over). Repeat for as many planets and moons as you want to.Build a base on the Mun, then try crash an asteroid into it. Oh wait - I also have ! How convenient.Anyway, there's tons of stuff to do in KSP. Have fun!
  16. Speaking of Minmus, here's an awesome cinematic not made by me.
  17. Haha, yup! You can edit the atmospheres around airless bodies by navigating to BoulderCo > Clouds > cloudLayers-BetterAtmospheres.cfg and removing the lines of code that give atmospheres to airless bodies. I will update this post with an altered configuration file when it's ready. EDIT: OK, here it is. I've removed the atmospheres around all airless bodies besides Minmus. I've just reduced the fog around Minmus (it now looks like this). I really do think you're missing out, with no atmospheres around Eeloo, Vall, etc.... You can change the clouds' transparency and color in the aforementioned configuration file. The city lights seem to be pretty buggy at the moment, so I've just removed them. I'm sure this will get fixed soon.
  18. Just delete the "CityLights" folder. EDIT: Ninjalalajalalaja...
  19. Today I posted a video in which I flew to the Mun and back in a craft that weighed less than 2 tons! As far as I know from looking around on the Internet, this is a new record in weight for getting to the Mun and back.
  20. Hmm... or I could allow you to submit a save file rather than a craft file. I really don't see why not. I'll just add another section to the main post. Neat concept! The lighting is spot on - in every sense of the word. So just make sure that your save file includes only the six rovers and their designs, OK?
