  1. Sorry for the double post (I had to do this for notification purposes), but I have a question for Zedwardson. Are your "lifters" all subassemblies? I have a feeling they're not (or maybe just one is), since they include capsules and stuff. If they aren't subassemblies, I will re-locate them.
  2. Woah! Lots of good designs. I've been sort of busy recently, but I'll fill them in now.
  3. This is something I've begun to notice as well. In stock KSP, the atmosphere only shows around the rim, not when you're looking straight down into it. Something similar needs to be implemented with this mod, and this problem will go away.
  4. I think you must have installed it wrong. The Mun's atmosphere fades away when I get up close to it, and it looks normal while I'm on the surface. In my opinion I really like the thin atmosphere I can see at around 6 or 7 km above the surface, but I do admit the atmosphere can get a bit thick at perhaps 12-15 km above the surface. Any higher than that, and it just looks fantastic and adds that "glowy" look to the Mun that makes it look more like our own moon. EDIT: Got ninja'd by a whopping 28 minutes! That's what I get for not refreshing the page.
  5. Why don't you take over the B9 Aerospace mod? This looks fantastic!
  6. If I download this, will I also get the default PlanetFactory planets? I didn't like those planets because they were so unrealistic (Inaccessible, for instance, rotated faster than escape velocity, which is completely fake). EDIT: I think I just remove the other folders within that download, right? These planets look nice.
  7. No problem! Real life totally comes first, and I totally understand. EVE is a bit buggy at the moment, but once rbray89 sorts out the bugs, it will be easier to work on BetterAtmospheres. I'll see what I can do to slightly reduce Minmus's fog density. I'm sure it's just some configuration file adjustment or something. EDIT: Yep! Here's my current setup. I removed Minmus's atmosphere because I was having issues making it 100 meters tall, and it looked strange in Map View. Download the altered configuration file!
  8. Yay! My good-night present. Devnote Tuesdays arrived on time today. Anyway, it's exciting to see how fast things are coming together!
  9. I think that SQUAD should allow you to plan your missions in the tracking station and see how much delta-V they will require, then provide read-outs while you're flying. I think that having delta-V read-outs is essential, especially for this KSP Edu thing that SQUAD is working on.
  10. Since there is no "Me too" button in the suggestions page, I will have to post my "Me too" in a reply to this thread. Good idea! Anyway, I'm sure that more and more options will be added to Tweakables in future updates, and this should be one of them. Another one should be adding the option to "Control from here" from different probe cores and capsules in the action group editor.
  11. I agree - just lighten up the fog a bit, and perhaps reduce its elevation to only affect areas below 200 meters (or maybe even less, if that's possible). I sort of imagine the fog coming up from the frozen lakes. But I love every other aspect of this mod.
  12. For me, it was definitely creating a Tylo SSTO - a spaceplane capable of going to Tylo and back without refueling. It uses a detachable lander to descend to the surface, redock, and then the whole ship flies home. It has very small fuel margins though! Click here to see my thread.
  13. Yesterday I created another YouTube video, in which I drove 100 km in a giant luxurious rover across the surface of Tylo. The video has some pretty cool timelapses.
  14. In the future, please remember to give more information about your ships. Thanks for your contribution though! You have been added.
  15. There ya are! I changed the category name to "Other." I won't create a full category for VAB SSTOs, since I suspect there won't be lots of them. But you're right - it isn't a "wacky" design - it's a real SSTO.
  16. Awesome mod! I was wondering if it would be possible to somehow incorporate red sunsets on Kerbin. I see that you have blue sunsets for Duna, so would it be hard to have red sunsets on Kerbin? With clouds, that would look amazing! By the way, I love the way Minmus looks.
  17. I see that a few people are concerned about SQUAD tracking how far players get into the game. To them I say... why? I mean, you probably share more information on the forums about what you do in KSP than SQUAD would ever know. They probably want to know that information for balancing reasons - if almost nobody has completed the tech tree, then they'll know it's too hard, and vice versa.
  18. Hooray! I'm glad to see SQUAD hiring lots of new developers.
  19. Ahh... perhaps I should have changed the narraration for that section. What I meant was that the Kerbal struggled with the standard procedure for getting into tall rockets, which is to hover in an airplane and jump out when you're close enough. I tried a long time to actually do that successfully, but the Kerbal's weight makes the plane go off balance as soon as you go on EVA, making jumping instantly hard to do. But with a bit of video editing, I made it look almost realistic.
  20. Nice! Very good accuracy. I did to make an asteroid crash into my Mun base for my latest YouTube video, but I used HyperEdit to get the orbit just right.
  21. He really needs to upgrade his monitors. Cool desktop background, though. I like the steering wheel thing on the left as well.
