  1. That Liset replica is getting a spaceborne variant- and I'm working on an LCS-style ship I'm calling the Arrowhead. It's got a 5-node bow gun, space for up to 8 crew internally, and a rear landing pad for small drones and VTOLs.
  2. Made another Liset replica- this time a spaceborne version with RTGs galore and twin ion engines. The new Ion FX is great. As well, I used the wonderful buoyancy of the MK3 tanks to make a Littoral Combat Ship-style boat I'm calling the Arrowhead LCS.
  3. Made a hypersonic airliner with the new inline intake fuselages, might be able to skim the edge of space in short hops.
  4. Got my first seabase done- it sits off the coast of the old airstrip island.
  5. The new parts let me make a mini-replica of the Liset landing craft from the online game Warframe that flies.
  6. Man, 1.0.5's really gotten the creative juices flowing for me... -simple "chibi" replica of a Liset-class landing craft from the MMOTPS Warframe: -Submersible Speedboat
  7. I was working on a speedboat earlier, turns out it might also work as a sub... I might put up the craft file somewhere once I test it some more and work out a purpose for it.
  8. I've started building subs with pre-filled Ore tanks as ballast. However, to drop one on Eve... that's gonna be a BIG skycrane.
  9. I'm tempted to try it (an Eve sub), though I suspect I'd have to reinforce it on the level I do my stock warships, just to deal with the sheer gravitational forces on Eve.
  10. I made a micro-sub, called the Nemo-class. It features seating for one, a rear docking port, and an "Abort" function that dumps all the clipped-in Ore (used for ballast) for emergency ascents. I plan on making a MK2 with RCS for more precise docking. https://www.dropbox.com/s/our9l5cgxob4jys/Nemo-Class%20Microsubmersible.craft?dl=0
  11. Finally got a sub working in 1.0.5, I call it the Nemo-class. It's pretty neat going all the way to the seabed; has anyone taken a sub to Laythe yet?
  12. I'll have to try making a submarine now, but my first 1.0.5 craft is this 'lil hypersonic arrowhead-style jet (I nicknamed it the Afterburner Overdrive), capable of reaching suborbital space off a straight 45 degree AOA from the runway, or alternatively exploding in the atmosphere from heating. Take your pick. The new inline diverter-less intake seems kinda powerful for high-speed aircraft, at least on smaller ones like the jet above.
  13. Got hit hard, spat its "teeth" out. ("Teeth" being its now-vaporized poppers, the only weapons loaded on the Kenji.)
  14. Yup, the good 'ol Recon Corvette MKII. One of my oldest functional warships, and one that I'm pleased to see still functions well into 1.0.x.
  15. Same. I hope it stays that way...
  16. Those LF-filled wing strakes are gonna burst like confetti when hit...
  17. While having range is great, I've begun focusing heavily on functional aesthetics in my craft. If I REALLY need to take a ship somewhere legitimately, I make sure to have way to mount drop-tanks or have accompanying tankers fill 'er up on the way there or post-arrival. That'd be a fun challenge for a battle: Start with low fuel, and each turn try and find a spot to have a non-combat ship mine ore, and then you'd have to fight for control of refinery stations.
  18. So, after refitting my NX-series ships with my older ASM Evo MK1 and some of them with Zekes' Popper, I feel pretty confident that my NX-series is fit for modern KSP combat. As part of this, I test-shot an NX-3 with a popper from above at a very slight angle, where the hull thins a bit for the missile tube to protrude. The ship lost hull plating behind and around the tube, but no major internals were lost, nor was the re-load capable tube. The NX-3 also checked out in terms of flight-worthiness post-hit. It's kinda fitting, since the NX-3 is only 10 parts or so more than the Kenji-class Drek, and has similar armament: i-beams and up to two missiles inside the hull.
  19. Custom part someone made for me. I only use it in my main install, with copies of my craft files specifically for use with it so I don't post anything that isn't fully-stock. The part is basically an invisible, massless solar-panel style flat plate with my company logo on it, designed to be radially-attached. - - - Updated - - - Link? I'd be willing to do so, but without the .craft file...
  20. Make sure to add some radial drogue chutes if you have room; they help tremendously with getting comfy Duna landings.
  21. Hoo boy. Here we go again... Also, I tested the light destroyer Sharkman Briton made: 4 i-beams at once=dead. However, it DID survive getting rammed by a Wraith.
  22. I'm on it. The MU's newer ships need some live-fire testing.
