  1. The NX-1 (shown above)? Right around 100 with a full ammo load. I've got other ships though, but the NX-1's my most advanced to date.
  2. Anyone wish to battle? (Be warned, I don't build for partcount efficiency too often)
  3. I was working on trying to make an ultra-high-speed interceptor, but it went... well... TOO fast. Breaks mach 1 right off the runway. Starts breaking mach-walls quicker and quicker, until: Aerodynamic stress from trying to turn a small bit ripped apart the fuselage. Back to the drawing board...

  6. For me, it's the "other". I tend to drag my kerbals into some.... explosive... situations.
  7. Tachikoma think tank, kerbalized: Putts around via RCS, but the whole concept would be fun to play with on the Mun, Minmus, or Duna.
  8. I built a Kerbal Tachikoma think tank straight out of GITS, and put finishing touches on a new missile cruiser. I also completed my IFV I've been tinkering with for a while.
  9. Wow! Awesome replica, and I knew I wasn't the only person who thought radiator panels made great ERA and side paneling.
  10. I'm starting to put little 1-2 part disposable probes on my ships that I can jettison as decoys/chaff to confuse guided shots at long range.
  11. Sorry to hear. I always try to make cloud backups of my favorite/more unique designs for that risk alone. As for the armoring, I started doing that quite a long time ago... never stopped unless it made sense not to. (Some light/medium ships I made in the past bounced the shots I expected them to survive well enough.)
  12. It does, and I used as many technical tricks as I could to ensure it will bounce anything low-to-mid power unless it gets hit by a lucky shot. The heavy slanting on many parts of the hull also increases the chance of bouncing shots. (Ep. 23 served as a great way to illustrate this, as the Helios bounced several rounds and missiles via its slanted hull.
  13. One might think so, but it has a full-reinforced steel hull under all those outer wing plates. It also has a complete set of internal dividers for breach protection. Those guided VLS missiles will reach out and hit targets beyond loading distance if need be.
  14. I've got something cookin'... GMI better invest in some fast ships to retreat with.

  17. Aww yeah, glad to have the MU ships show their worth! The Recon Corvette, oddly enough, was my first "true" military ship I made in KSP. Very happy to see it still functions well in 1.0+.
  18. As a fan of both Star Wars/Star Trek, I really feel like I missed a good one there in giving the ship a name... perhaps I'll do it when I release it.
  19. Working on a new series of potentially MP-ready space battleships- starting with the NX-1. I'm working on replacing its SRB missiles in those VLS cells with something lighter and more long-ranged... I'm thinking ion drive torps.
  20. As I said earlier, new ships are coming, albeit more slowly and with a higher emphasis on quality, aesthetics, and redundancy than Dv, speed, or part economy (hopefully 1.1/unity 5 will reduce part count's impacts on performance). This ship is the first of this new line (which will be accompanied by my older, yet still functional SX-13/14/00/01/etc. ships), and is designated the NX-1. *The missiles are cruddy placeholders for a nice, BVR-targeted ion torp I'm thinking up.* There's some other features as well, but those are secret for now.
