So, I've been busy experimenting today with.... (insert drum roll here)..... "Armored" EVA/EXO-suit type craft. Mark 1 Prototype: These aren't useful outside of low-grav and hard vacuum, but I like the concept. So, once I've got up my next battle post (I'm job hunting currently), I'm going to make even better EXOs. (Before ya'll ask, the disk-rockets are for weak/ground targets, and the i-beams take the place of small autocannons if such a thing was developed.)

UPDATE: I'm currently working on a new "fighter"... more of an orbital exo-suit... and I'm also going to have my next battle post for BrightBritches up tomorrow. My net's acting up a tad bit, plus my last exams are this week. Wish me luck!

I would definitely have started making a series already, if it weren't for the fact that my current graphics unit is in NO WAY capable of running KSP (or most games, for that matter) whilst recording video. I might be upgrading my GPU soon, though. That or I'll use a capture card. I have the VFX software to compile.... so otherwise it isn't too hard. -

Hey BrightBritches, I now know what happened to the A.D.A.! Your shot somehow missed one side of the hull, then de-phased into reality (hmm....) on the other side. Thanks to my dual-layer armor, though, it did effectively NO DAMAGE. On another note, you now have shot a Kerbpaint paint job off of a ship. Nice aim man.

Oh, I'm sorry I wasn't clear in stating the tonnage rules. if you want to re-move you can. By the way, I'm now quite pleased with my hybrid-reactive armor plating design. Also, your ships look quite good, and have a very sci-fi feel to 'em... Nice work!

I like to go overkill. Also, I use junior docking ports as my rod-mounts. -

Whoever wins gets to obliterate and/or "take over" their opponent's "prize". The "prize" station/base is exempt for the part count rule, but try to stay under 1k if at all possible. Nice orbital weapon, though I would add that I try to stay all-stock, and that I've actually built guided rods and ODP resupply modules. I'm just too lazy to mess with guidance, and too worried my PC will die a horrific, Hell-Kraken based death if I added probe cores to all the rods, since ODP-1 Thor (the big one controlling Sif) is around 800 parts. (Thor originally had more rods and extras, but topped 1K parts by then, and was a tad bit too heavy. ) -

So, I've finished the MU's newest frigate/patrol craft, the SX-4 Dominator. It sports 4 small ammo mounts (used for i-beams in pic), and has room for 2-4 1.25 meter rounds in the "cannon". *Amount of 1.25 meter ammo it can carry varies by ammo length.* The Dominator line also has both LV-Ns and Ion Engines, enabling long-range flight without needing large amounts of fuel. Anyhow, I'm still waiting for daemon's next move in my ongoing (for quite a bit now) surface battle, so I'm going to ask: Anyone up for a little skirmish? Nothing big, just a smaller, 3-4 ship battle to pass the time. (I also want to test the line-of-sight firing capability of the SX-4, and the firepower of my Ingressors )

While it's technically more of a satellite, it's size and purpose make it a station in my book. Meet my ODP-2 Sif. -
Due to the high part count and somewhat large size of my ODP-1 Thor, I've made a mini-sat version that can be deployed en masse, controlled by a starship, ground station, or an ODP-1's crew. Meet the ODP-2 Sif.

The trick is making sure the rods won't delete at 2.5 km if you're shooting at the surface, and just remember: IRL, a rod hitting even NEAR a target would be devastating.
