  1. I'm currently planning to build my new station at 120 or 125, leaving the 100 (ish) band for ships coming up from the surface and/or setting out for other destinations.
  2. Llez, that is a nice mini-rover design. Any chance of you posting a .craft file, so I can copy examine it?
  3. Not decals. However, you can specify a flag for your project and, if you wish, for each mission. Kerbals can plant flags (one each) by right-clicking on them during EVA.
  4. Ah, I see it now. (It was appearing inside of the booster that I'd moved down, out of the way; I was then dragging another from the parts box into the scene.) Thanks.
  5. Fortunately, someone has already done most of the work for you: http://www.kerbalmaps.com/ Select the Mun, then the stack of three planes to select Slope view. Find a nice big patch of indigo with minimal purple specks (and no pink). Send a rocket there.
  6. Freaked out because I made the mistake of copying my .20 install into my existing .19 folder, resulting in a ton of duplicated parts, parts without textures, etc etc. Finally got things sorted out. What you need to do, FYI, is make a new folder for the .20 and then just copy your saves and ships into it. Then reinstall any mods you need.
  7. A single lightweight lander attached to the side of a landing stage does not, in my experience, throw off the CG too badly. I used a cubic strut, a probe-sized decoupler, and another cubic strut attached to the rover proper.
  8. We all do, footman. We all do. (Actually, I wanted to test my brand new seat-equipped rover.)
  9. With .20 , it's now possible to delete the command pod or probe core from an existing craft. Other parts then become inaccessible ("greyed out") until a new pod or core is selected and added to the scene in the VAB or SPH. Great, but... how do I actually set the new part as active? I can't seem to attach anything to it. I just wind up with a bunch of floating parts.
  10. "Pointing Correct End at Space" (This does not guarantee that you will go to space today, but it's a good start.)

  12. *salutes with fist over heart, swinging out to open palm* Now he just needs the goatee.
  13. Important tip for upgraders: Do not copy your .20 folder into your existing .19 folder! Instead, make a new folder for .20 and copy your saves and your ships from .19 into it. (I just spent the better part of an hour figuring this out for myself. ; )
  14. In theory, someone could get into the data files and move the icon to a new position on the title bar. In practice, I'm not a coder and wouldn't know where to begin.

  17. Nice rover. Looks like the Kerbonaut slides right in and stays put - next best thing until we get actual seats.
  18. The thing is, Mr. FX, most people don't care. I know that you want to show off, but we are already straining each other's interest in anyone's accomplishments but our own (which are, of course, awesome) with these ribbons. Go with the thing(s) you're proudest of. If you must supply more detail, I recommend that you do so in a line of text underneath ("over 70 missions", or whatever). Maybe some will actually read it.
  19. Sent three intrepid kerbonauts to Minmus. Later tonight, I'm going to try to bring them back.
  20. I am seriously impressed. This is solid work. Thanks for posting and reposting.
