  1. yyyup. Especially when the brand-new cupola was involved, as I recall. I should have saved some pics of the many, many debris-flinging blow-ups I had while assembling my space station. (Thank Harv for quicksaves.)
  2. You have my full attention, sir.
  3. "Say... that's a nice bike." - the T1000 Downloaded, will take it for a spin later.
  4. Question - will two (or more) dishes on a probe improve mapping coverage, speed, etc?
  5. Could be... In that vein, my first ever manned Mun mission ran out of fuel after returning to Kerbin, but still in orbit. Bill and Bob promptly freaked, of course, but Jeb confidently reminded his fellow kerbonauts that they still had an almost-full tank of monopropellant for the RCS ... just enough to get them down into the upper atmosphere, and from there it was a nice easy ride to splashdown. More recently, I've put together a space station and driven a rover about halfway from the Mun's equator to the north pole.
  6. Don't fret too much, the labeling is (as others have noted) inconsistent or at least non-intuitive in some places.
  7. More cool rovers, looking forward to trying these out. That'll be the line of boats / amphibious craft, for worlds like Laythe and Eve (and Kerbin, of course)?
  8. Still the most excellent and detailed reproduction (and it just keeps getting better)! and wudupdogz, thanks for your ascent guide.
  9. Been away from KSP this week - came back and found this rocket linked from the Munshine thread. Very nice work! I like your take on the concept.
  10. Large structures are far from rigid, as real-world engineers must take into account. See the unfortunate example of the first Tacoma Narrows Bridge, aka "Galloping Gertie", which literally tore itself apart due to oscillations caused by strong winds.
  11. Added an extender to my station's docking module (loaded with a little fuel, including radial tanks, for topping up visiting craft) and moved the capsule that brought it up (unmanned, under MechJeb control) to one of the hab modules; I now have enough Crew Return Vehicle capacity to bring all the current residents home safely. Assembled the first draft design of the station's final component, a science module. Trying to think of some appropriately sciency stuff to stick on it. Already put on some separatrons, so that if something goes badly wrong that threatens the rest of the station, the module can be jettisoned to a safe distance. Tinkered a bit with my interplanetary probe(s), mostly adding a little more fuel (and thus, delta V) to the booster and transfer stage.
  12. MechJeb definitely helped me with my ascent profiles (launch-to-orbit).
  13. Perfect. Absolutely perfect. Downloaded!
  14. As promised: Classic Space - thirty-five years of inspiration, and counting.
  15. Thanks very much for the STOCK versions. I've been meaning to get these, but the only thing of those mods I have (or want) is MechJeb.
  16. Uh, I did all of that back in .8 and .9. It's really not all that hard, aside from needing to consult a chart to see if your orbit is stable (rather than just looking at the map view). Do you want me to do it again? Post the pictures I took back then? Or just take my word for it? (My crowning achievement in those days was leaving them up there for 8 hours or so - sixteen orbits, at about 30 minutes per - while I went to work. This was before time acceleration, remember.)
  17. I still have .9 on my desktop, a working folder, 'cause I didn't like (among other changes) how the water looked in .10. I actually started a version or two before that.
  18. After getting to the Mun and Minmus with my own designs, I've switched over to using the Zenith family exclusively for all of my manned launches. The components of my space station went up on Zenith IIIs and Vs, and so will the pieces of my interplanetary ships. The quality of your work speaks for itself, and it just keeps on getting better.
  19. Seconded. Just the thing for picking up stranded Kerbals!
  20. Stazi: Welcome to the forums! and yes, micro-rovers are definitely cool!
