  1. Agreed. I had to tell myself he was judging the movie and not the book because many of the sins were explained in the book very well and I started to get frustrated watching the youtube clip. A director's cut would be awesome.
  2. What really gets me is how you all are ignoring the simple fact that if the earth really were a ball, ALL OF THE WATER WOULD RUN TO THE BOTTOM AND DROP OFF!! clearly, the flat disc we live on doesn't have this problem and proves all you crazy people wrong.
  3. This. And then this. You'll only get to do two really well and you should make social life your third priority.
  4. PT times varied greatly because of class schedules and remote members (members who were studying at a nearby school and doing their ROTC stuff at GaTech). There were generally 2 sessions a day to accommodate schedules. That will be something that differs greatly between detachments (AF word...not sure if that's what they're called in the Navy). Out of the original class of about 25 that started with me, only 5 made it to commissioning. Some were removed unwillingly for various reasons (collapsed lung dq'd one, a couple others didn't keep their grades high enough) but most dropped out of their own will. Some actually switched branches and went Marine or Navy about halfway through. Some changed schools so I don't know if they completed the program or not.
  5. Not NROTC but I did do AFROTC at Georgia Tech. I might be able to answer some generic questions.
  6. everything you say to people for the rest of the day should be preceded with "sudo" and then you should act baffled when they don't comply.
  7. so a corollary to this question might be "what is the oldest website/post that you can find right now?" EDIT: I give you the official Space Jam website from 1996 http://www.warnerbros.com/archive/spacejam/movie/jam.htm
  8. I think that many times, the decision to buy and drive an EV is not and economical one in the short term. And by "short term" I mean that for the next 20-50 years, it may cost individuals more to own and operate these types of vehicles. However, as technologies increase and as consumers demand the products, the price points will decrease in a way that makes it a wise economical choice. For now, the decision is more of "How much more am I willing to spend in order to preserve nature as we know it?" Without getting into a climate change argument, I believe that we are unable to destroy the planet. We may be able to destroy ourselves and much of life (nature) as we know it, but nature will prevail and a new normal will emerge from our ashes. Having said that, if the goal is to try to keep it the way it is now, EV's help do that. So, the decision isn't one of economy, it's one of ecology. Getting the price closer to a normal standard brings the ball closer to those who aren't willing (or able) to pay a lot for their ecological beliefs.
  9. yeah i think someone has a grudge. voter tracking is done using cookies so a quick cache refresh allows for multiple votes. not ethical and i'm not suggesting anyone does this. we can win legitimately. obviously. but it seems statistically likely that someone else has figured this out and was doing their best to outvote the KSP community by themselves. ::tsk tsk::
  10. Voting is open and ends at 8:00 PM eastern on April 4th. Go vote!
  11. They'll post the results from the semi-final round in about an hour. That's also when the voting for the final round begins. It seems very likely that KSP won this last round so get your voting finger ready! I'll update the OP when they announce the results.
  12. The voting for the semi-final round ends at 8 PM central time today! We are ahead but Zoo U is catching up. Go vote and spread the word! After this , we'll only have one more round to go.
  13. I watch a lot of Flite Test. I actually listen to the build videos in the background while I do other things lol. Literally listening to one now.
  14. I think the views matter more than the likes/dislikes
  15. My only rebuttal on this is when using the review or search/outline features in Word. They populate on the right and left sides of the actual document and it makes a 16:9 resolution very valuable.
  16. We made it through the third round and are now in the Quarter Finals!!! Make sure you go vote! You can vote once per round so even if you've voted before, go vote again!
  17. Twelve a Dozen really has a handle on New York, New Jersey, and West Virginia! I really can't believe that the KSP community isn't up to accumulating votes!
  18. lol Scott Manley sent a tweet and the votes (much in Kerbal fashion) just exploded. EDIT: we've got a pretty good lead but it's not over yet. go vote if you haven't already :-)
