  2. Not Mike, not a man, and not from 1978. LABHOUSE.
  3. It seems that this is still open. Hmm. Here's my entry, a cargo variant of the Starstreaker Single Stage to Minmus spaceplane. Took off, went to Minmus, landed on the surface of Minmus, got the probe out (Landed it with the plane to make sure I got any rewards associated with "Payload to Surface"), returned to Kerbin, then landed back at the KSC runway. (It was a bit of a lucky shot, I admit, but hey, I did it. ) EDIT: Hey, looky! Imgur cooperated! And yes, they are all stock parts. (I have a .CFG that installs MechJeb and KER on all capsules, but MechJeb was only used for Delta-V readouts, Surface and Orbit data.)
  4. "Souposphere", not atmosphere.
  5. Not just that, but Why did they push it out of orbit instead of circularizing?
  6. Red Iron Crown, your crown is getting sunbleached! (Yeah, I know, Christmas.) I've still got a long way to go. What do you guys get rep for the most? I've started to build a lot of crafts lately, and I've got a new docking tutorial coming up soon (I got quite a bit of rep for the last one), what else could I do?
  7. Hey, it's not my ship, don't look at me! *points at Frozen_Heart*

*clears throat* [Thread must not die] ()_() Hey, it's "Sun" again! (Did what I think happened happen?)
  9. DOWNLOAD LINK The Starstreaker spaceplane, with it's nuclear engine totaling over 3300 m/s of Delta-V, is more than capable of a Minmus return mission. Presented here for your viewing and/or flying pleasure, this easy-to-fly craft is ready to go right out of the box: no refueling or assembly required! [ALSO, this is the first time I've submitted a craft, so if I'm missing something please forgive me. ] EDIT: Whoops, forgot the flight instructions! (I was in a hurry!) Action Groups 1 - Toggle TurboJet Engines 2 - Toggle LV-N Atomic Rocket Motor 3 - Toggle Intakes Ascent Profile Takeoff speed is anything over about 80 m/s. Pitch to 45 degrees for the main ascent. Continue until around 16,000 meters. By 20,000 meters, pitch to 0 degrees. Keep the vertical speed readout to zero or a little under zero until you stop rapidly accelerating. Pitch up until the vertical speed readout shows a 10 m/s upward climb. When you get between 1,500 m/s and 1,600 m/s (or more, if you can manage) ignite the nuke. (Action Group 2) At this point, pitch to 15 or 25 degrees. Soon, the jets will start to sputter. Throttle down to 75%, then to 66%, 50%, and finally 33%. Once they start to fail at 33%, kill the jets with "1" and hit the gas with "z". Pitch to 45 degrees until your apoapsis is at 60,000 meters. Pitch to 0 until your apoapsis is at 100,000 meters. Kill the nuke. Circularize. Profit! (Note: I don't know if this is the most efficient profile, but I've gotten three Starstreakers to a Minmus station, the surface, and back to Kerbin with it, so it works.)

  11. Minmus Kethane Reserve 01 Shown with a Single Stage To Minmus spacecraft docked to it's spaceplane dock. The station can hold a little bit over 2 of the huge Kethane tanks worth of the stuff, and the lander/miner can haul the entire storage apparatus from the surface and back all in one piece, though it is very, very hard to land due to it's top-heaviness.
  12. Banned for- OOH, new link! Must clicky!
  13. Big clicky texty link. 8/10. You're going to get shot in your sleep.
  14. That creepy face is creepy. 10/10.
  15. AHHH, that stupid terrain collider, yeah, it's annoying. I hit it at around 30 m/s and do a 4-5 meter hop with one or both sides of the car before getting all the wheels back on the ground.
  16. I never had FLL experience. However, I am in FTC (5442 Half Life) and FRC (3410 Team Life). Both have been great learning experiences, and I have helped some FLL teams program their robots. (WOW, the new Lego Mindstorms EV3 is incredible!) I am also Programming Officer for FIRST in general at our school, so if you need help feel free to PM me.
