  1. Man will go to Mars. Yes. Mars One? Maybe. Based on the video, though, with KSP in the background... well, let's hope they remember to scale correctly!
  2. That's a good question. I have no idea. Hmm... I think it still happens, but I can't remember off the top of my head.
  3. There is such a thing as a "shameless bump", you know It seems as if nobody has questions yet. Surprising.
  4. Banned for either being severely ninja'd (you might say I'm a lizard) or for false banning. That's no lizard! It's a kerbal!
  5. ...why do stations rotate in orbit? On every single station I have researched, they have an "earth-facing" port. That would imply it always faces earth. But in KSP, the station rotates around its axis, so the only stationary ports are the "top" and "bottom" ones... if you are facing that way. The way things fall IRL is in a line; say you tied a string to a metal rod, in space. Fling the metal rod about your head now. It would constantly face the same way in relation to the center, with one end pointing "prograde" and one "retrograde". This is how things should work in KSP. Could SQUAD fix this?
  6. Yes! The answer was greater than two! And yes, the average person watching Fox does indeed need some SCIENCE!!! Prepare the goo!
  7. So I've noticed a whole bunch of new people out there come into this game with loads of fun questions for us to answer. So.... put them here! And all of you veteran players, feel free to answer them. I'm making this thread so that it may form a bridge between "new" and "old" players, and keep all the questions in one convenient place.

    Riddles

*Shameless bump* Let's have a riddle!
  9. Billions of Ball Bearings. In Big Balls. Launch it on a retrograde orbit from its target and then "carefully" detonate, so that they drift apart yet stay together, if you catch my drift. They would proceed to shred anything in their way.
  10. On floor 23, I step into the elevator and witness an odd green creature, who seems to be eating some kind of food. I snatch the creature's helmet and prepare to bolt out the door when they next open.
  11. The answer is greater than one. Perhaps, even, greater than "two", whatever that is... Yes, I watch it. I've been watching it for years. Almost had the whole of the original series under my belt when the new one came on. I have to say, I'm enjoying the CGI they incorporated: it looks great and would attract people who normally don't enjoy "science".
  12. Agreed. I did this once. The results were catastrophic: generally involved bits of solar panel reentering Kerbin's atmosphere when I became "angry".
  13. Really, all of you who say that it is more cost effective to "toss" the old craft and send up a new one rather than to refuel the same one... are right! There is no point... yet. Not until they add currency. Then it suddenly becomes better to save the old ship rather than continue to waste more and more fuel on the orbital insertion stages. But it'll all change when .24 comes out, or at least I have heard that currency will be implemented.
  14. The apocalypse comes, and money is worthless. I simply kick him off the hill and claim it.
  15. Truthfully and shamefully, yes. The user below is stuck in a phone booth with nothing to eat.

It's something natural, but impulsive and powerful. And it resides in everyone. It can be controlled, albeit with difficulty... Emotions? Or intelligence?
  17. Would that "certain something" be this? Anyway, I'd give that avatar a 6. But that's just me.
  18. It could be some kind of autopilot module, but other than that I would have no use for it. I hardly use the stabilizers anyway now that the pods all have ASAS.

Perhaps... um.... the transmission information slipped out when he wasn't looking? I don't see anything that would give him away. Are you sure you included all of the information?
  20. Alright, I don't know why, but making a tutorial for the Asteroid Redirect Mission is turning out to be harder than expected. I'll see if I can start it up this weekend... I get the feeling I need to be alone with the game for a few hours to do this. I've successfully redirected many asteroids, but I can't seem to figure out where to start the tutorial! Suggestions, anyone?
  21. True. Several, in fact. Not like they get anywhere but High Kerbin Orbit, though. The user below has an E-Class on direct impact.
  22. Dres? Dres?!? Don't talk to me about that place. I don't like it. My first (and most likely last) flyby probe. Perhaps once I get to Duna I'll send another, but Duna comes first.
