I agree, after the delays in the last few launches (not always SpaceX' fault) it's nice to see them put one on the pad and launch it with no extra mucking about
Ok, so it's a minivan. What makes this 2014 Grand Caravan my new favorite? Because it's brand new, and it's MINE. Well, ok, my wife will mostly drive it. And it's the first vehicle either of us had had that's less than 10 years old!
Deploy? Deploy what? My lander is my rover, as well as my return vehicle.... This was actually a rescue rover, from back before I got better at precision landings.
There was a weird cloud formation in the Fraser Valley Sunday morning, nicely lit by the rising sun: (sorry for the huge pic) More pics The consensus (aside from aliens and chemtrails) is that it's a cloud formation called a 'fallstreak hole.' I'm thinking it's a jet contrail. Thoughts? Edit: I forgot the disclaimer, I did not take any of the pics, just linked them from the GlobalTV facebook page
Moving the vertical stabilizer (with its attached tailplanes) as far back as possible will give more pitch moment. Once you get the pitch up, it'll generate more lift. While I rarely build aircraft, I've been known to use vernors or sepratrons to help get the pitch up. And I certainly don't think there's any shame in using RATO to get the speed up.
"Rabbit season! FIRE!" Er wait, wrong thread... Hmmm, simultaneous posts, going opposite ways... "Uhhhh, which way did they go , George, which way did they go....?" I guess they cancel out, so I'll say 17, again...
