alrighty then! we're past most of the heat now that it's been up for public beta for 'bout a week... still some work remains to be done, but while we're at it, i thought i'd share... this is my job, much like my brother harvester - i am a game dev as well, and this is what i've been up to for the last several months: www.clickjogos.com.br/clickcross yeah, it's a bike game! - with a full featured track editor and community-based approach to level design - plus, you can challenge your friends on the tracks you create and race through the UI is all in Brazillian portuguese -- but english language users don't seem to have much trouble with that up to now... as they tell me anyways, just sharing the news about this somewhat significant milestone back here... the game is just around the corner for full completion, and it'll be my last game done in Flash (thank heavens!) -- after which, i shall take on the unmatched power of Unity3D! anyways - have fun, then!

i find any reselling of games is only a concern for devs putting out games that have that little long-term value.... : i mean, why on earth would you wanna resell a game you\'ve bought if not for being completely 'done' with it?... and in my book, a good game is one i can never be 'done with'
-
oh well, thanks!
-
from experience i\'d say a normal launch is probably among the least normal things a Kerbal mission could lead into : j/k - nice start, huh?
-
 Cheers, Mate! - here\'s a big round of applause from this modding community you make proud! *insert loud applause here*

if you just left-click on .15 after a crash, you\'ll get the flight log... or press any key - that works too... but you can still pan around with the RMB before that, anyways :
-
This is so unbelievably Kerbal I had to share it with you...
Moach replied to Excalibur's topic in KSP1 Discussion
curious fact - did you know this man and his team are credited for having created the original concept of 'Murphy\'s Law'? 'Murphy' himself, was actually their superior at the time - and upon his criticism of an engineer\'s failure to install a set of accelerometers facing the correct direction or some other mistake of the sort, he stated something such as: 'if there\'s a way to do it wrong, he will do it' (speaking of said engineer) then, as to relieve the engineer of his complete fault in the matter, it was replied 'if there\'s any chance that something could go wrong, it will' - which, from then on, became known as 'Murphy\'s Law' not sure if i\'m telling it right... but hey - here\'s the story doesn\'t get any more Kerbal than this, it really doesn\'t   -
you know... this morning i discovered that of you can make it to the Mun, you can pretty much make it to Minmus with that same ship how is that, you ask? - they\'re so far apart.... they are, but if instead of shooting straight for Minmus, you make your way towards the mun first - you can slingshot yourself to your final destination - the simple transfer of momentum between the Mun and your ship during your gravity-powered approach will boost you all the way up to higher orbits it\'s only a matter of fine-tuning your path as you go along... get your trajectories straight, and gravity shall take you where you wanna go : cheers!

does that imply the same will be for rocket nozzles? i mean, different nozzles for different flight conditions, i.e. over/under-expansion under different flight conditions, etc? there is a length of requests about this very feature in the dev boards.... so, if this mechanic applies to one end of an engine, it would be logical that it must apply to the other one as well :

awesome!!!! so..... much.... awesome..... and to think the 'real' first kerbal models were simply tin foil shreds mashed and battered into the shape of little men - which were shortly later non-optionally strapped into cardboard-engineered fireworks-derived 'spacecraft' : glorious! - you sir, have won the day! - you have been awarded one kerbillion internets! that, and the right to call yourself AWESOME! - c\'mon, you\'ve earned it!
-
Sounds like you could use a Fender Squier I got one myself and its prob\'ly one of the best 'cheap guitars' you can find... Plus, it kinda suits most styles, being a rather general-purpose instrument : Either that, or maybe get a steel string acoustic... Those arent as bulky as nylon, and have a more electric-like grip on the fretboardand all....

hey all just thought i let everyone know, today, me and my wife have gotten ourselves officially married (albeit we\'ve been living as if for about 2 years now) and to celebrate - tomorrow afternoon, we\'re off to her grandfather\'s homeland, Portugal - for the next 10 days or so  i trust the rest of the moderator crew should keep this place from erupting in flames while i\'m away, right? anyways - i\'ll be back probably next-next-monday (not next week, the one after that) ...and yes - i\'ve already simulated my upcoming flight with the proper aircraft in FSX (as i usually do)

DRM is quite simply a 'no-go' harvester himself has more than once claimed to have his own array of issues against the very idea of it (which i do too) bottomline is - DRM only serves to treat paying users as potential thieves - it gives crackers an 'enjoyable challenge' to take them apart, and then pirates never even have to care about the damn thing in the end, people who pay are pissed off, whereas people who steal are 'rewarded' with not having to deal with the inconvenience Squad does a good job in presenting themselves in a way that makes it clear that piracy would really mean stealing - it\'s a different thing when you know it\'s real people hard at work, and not some greedy corporation who thinks of users only as 'income' so that\'s that - while DRM means 'cap\'n patchy' saves the day - having no DRM really has the same final impact on the whole thing, but shows users that their satisfaction is more important than their dollars and you wouldn\'t wanna go against dedicated devs who are willing to give you that big a vote of confidence, right? :

win 7 here  btw - KSP lagging is 90% gpu... it may take a while to load, which could be faster with more CPU and/or an SSD - but once ingame - it\'s all about graphics power

i think harv annouced this when he put it in the game, but then - there wasn\'t any further mention of it, so it could seem completely 'secret' for anyone who didn\'t catch that particular update thread : for that matter, holding 'alt' and clicking any part on your rocket will duplicate it (and whatever it may have attached to it) it\'s not the first time one of the newer players finds something that is taken as common knowledge to such extent it isn\'t really documented anywhere... but i guess any work on a proper 'manual' by now would be an exercise in futility, since features are changing all the time, and new stuff keeps coming along at a breakneck pace
-
ha! i played the game before it was first released back when it was 2D but then, i don\'t think i count for this... i did help invent the general concept, and i do happen to be harvesters twin brother yeah well... carry on then
-
well you can do it if you\'re willing to get your hands dirty with the part files and stuff : tho the cart in particular may be a tough gig, since you\'d probably need make some changes to the plugin code as well another possibilty is to 'trick' the part into facing the way you want by placing it onto an adapter part of sorts - since those stacking 'plugs' do have an orientation parameter, you can have it placed it in a way that it faces pretty much any direction you need, depending on what you attach it onto

those were dangerously home-made rockets.... seriously, you know how kerbals die in horrible fiery violence aboard those things? - yeah, now you definitely wouldn\'t want that happening in your hand, right? now, i think it goes without saying, but never hurts to insist, so repeat after me: I WILL NOT TRY THIS AT HOME you\'ve been warned
