  1. maybe its just me, but when i visit other planets i always end up orbiting oneway, while the moons orbit another. jool in particular i can never get right. i suggest that the rails for any planet, moon, ship, whatever it is, have a small arrow pointing out the direction of orbit. sure my mmistake might be noobish, but name one reason this shouldnt be in game?
  2. at the end of the tree there could be a green house that supports up to 8 kerbals indefinetly. make stations cooler

  6. it is getting bad. i recently accused a lazy co-worker of not having enough Dv. i was concerned so i ran the main theme song backwards through an audio analysis program. it literally just repeats "you will play more ksp" over and over....actually i better go play now...
  7. i thought the same thing. im hoping that .24 doesnt come out for at least 2 months, since i decided to bite the bullet and restart career. i dont want a date confirmation, just for them to acknoledge that it wont be before the end of may. .24 allegedly has an accelerated schedule, since half the work is already in .23.5
  8. well then the parts should follow the pattern set by the previous parts i would think. as it is all of them are outliers.
  9. is ARM stock? if it is they should be balanced a bit. if its a mod then the mod maker can do as they please.
  10. this. when i first got ksp i tried making a airfoil out of the bis 2x2 panels, then i found out only certain parts generate lift. while my original idea will never happen, better stock aerodymanics would be lovely
  11. do wing panels generate lift going straight up? or is that all just added weight?

  14. yeah but people will still do it, using the better parts. alot of people think the new parts need to be balanced much better.
  15. i belive ion used to be in propulsion and there was discusion on moving it to utlility. also, ion is like rcs, you dont need to connect fuel lines to make it work. as for dropping asperagus stages, what you would do is alt+click your bottom stage ion tank, and alt+click the empty tank to transfer all the fuel out of the stage youre dropping.

  17. im wondering the same as op. why start a new career save if .24 comes out in 3 or 4 weeks? i dont want a date, just an "it wont be before the end of may for sure" so i know its worth it to invest time.

Post your questions and tips for asteroid missions in this thread I am planning my first asteroid mission and want to know a few things: What are all the possible ways to suck SCIENCE out of an asteroid? do you claw it then run your tests(goo,temp,gravioli,ect.)? or do you just need to do the experiments near it? do you net science for recovering a landed asteroid from kerbin? Due to unity running parts through a "tree" parts can only connect to 1 other part. this means that a bi-coupler with 2 fuel tanks cannot mate with another upsidedown bi-coupler at both nodes, only one node will connect. does that mean that a single ship with 3 claws cannot grab the asteroid at all 3 points at once? these are just some things i want to know before designing my ship.   22. ...is there enough of the 4gb ram space for biomes on every planet/moon and all the "planned features" that will eventually be stock? or will ksp be forced to go 64bit eventually?
  23. the benefit of biomes is that you need to keep going to different places, as you extinguish the science in a certain biome. otherwise theres no benefit to going to any planet more than once. it also encorages apollo style missions, except you refuel in orbit to go down again. the lab is the reason for this. also i want fluff text! jeb loves duna sno-cones
