TED sums this one up well. There's no gatekeeping happening here and no personal agendas being driven.
-
We're working on putting these in 0.25, but if they can't make it in, enjoy your preview of a future update!
-
I have control over the Tumblr. Everything that gets posted on there gets pushed into the daily kerbal section sometime after. I haven't heard many major complaints over its format, so I'm not really inclined to make changes there now, but I will definitely note this. OP, as Chris suggests, your best bet may be to catch the notes when they are posted here in the forum or over on /r/kerbalspaceprogram. The format is much less intensive and hopefully, if your system isn't giving you any major headaches, you should be able to read through the notes with little effort.

Let us know how it goes, TheAwer.

Not at all. Dan's focus has been elsewhere. It has nothing to do with any comment or complaint whatsoever.
-
Keep in mind that we've all got our different areas of work around the company. Dan is not expending any energy that would otherwise go into development because his focus is not on development. EDIT: Oh and for that matter, Max also confirmed that there will be no cinematic for 0.25 anyway since he's focused on something else at the moment.

This needs to be turned into a giant barber shop pole immediately.

The hypetrain is sitting at the depot and the hype plane is in the cargo bay. You'll know when it's time...

It’s that time of year again. The leaves are about to fall. The days are getting shorter. Everything is starting to loop back into the warm arms of fall. Speaking of loops, We’ve teamed with Coub to bring you a contest that will have you looping all over the galaxy. Whether it’s the perfect orbit or the perfect crash, we want you to take up to 10 seconds of video footage and create the perfect loop with it - or a Coub, if you will. Upload it onto the site with the hashtag #KSP to be entered into a contest to win a one of a kind drawing by DanRosas, autographed by the members of the KSP team. This contest will run from now until October 2nd. One winner will be chosen from all entries by the KSP-TV team. The winner will be announced live on the October 4th episode of Squadcast. There’s no limit to the amount of entries you can submit, but make them good and make them count. Click HERE to upload your Coub and enter to win!

What if it were a turkey? A turkey heavier than a turkey? No. My lips are sealed on this one.

It's not that. Try again

No matter how you slice it, if NASA comes to you and says they'd like to work with you, you take it. It's an extremely rare opportunity for a game like ours to work with a big time governmental space agency *and* be able to create relevant new content for the game at the same time. While I'd love to see that Mario game happen, KSP may have just inspired NASA in a way that other games had not. Yes, employees at NASA and others all across the spectrum of aerospace play KSP. Whether they play as stock as you can get or modded so much that their computers explode, what matters is that they play and enjoy themselves. That's all we can really hope of anyone. But yeah, now *I'm* getting off topic. I'll send a warning to myself on this. Carry on, everyone.

I'm going to be posting up more reminders about this on the rest of our channels, but be sure to watch Squadcast tomorrow. Max will be following through on last week's mention of an "info dump" about 0.25.

In a thread titled "Total Realism," it had to be mentioned. Besides, I addressed that in the second paragraph. And as I said, there's a lot of great ideas and legit concerns floating around. It's stuff that we'll be able to explore much deeper when we're past the point of scope completion.
-
Kerbal Space Program is not intended to be a 100% realistic sim. The game is meant to be a close, but not completely realistic depiction of space flight. While the game is grounded in many ways, there are certainly cartoonish elements in place by design. As it seems, most of you in here aren’t looking for “total realism†per se, but improvements on *some* functions of realism. We will make progress there. Many of the suggestions made in this thread, the 0.25 thread and others will be revisited after scope completion. There’s no guarantee any of those suggestions will ever make it into the game. However, we want to confirm these topics are also being discussed internally and are important to us as well. Now, feel free to continue the discussion, but please keep this all in mind. Also, thanks for keeping things predominantly civil in here.

As you may have seen in this week's Devnotes, Alex mentioned that a server migration was to happen today. This is a reminder that it will begin at 8 PM CST and will affect the following services: the KSP website, the KSP wiki and the bug tracker. There may be some forum downtime, too. It's unknown how much of an effect it will have on the forum, if any, but consider yourselves prepped just in case. Thanks.

^^^ This. There is now a seperate REALISM thread. Keep this thread on topic and devoid of nastiness and it will remain open.
-
Space Oddity, what a classic. There's a plethora of great space-related tracks out there.
-
How did you get our security camera footage?!?!?!?!?! In all seriousness though, please keep the German language stuff out general.
-
^^^ I was just about to say the same, FenirWolf. Ultimately, it's the community that will decide a game's "immortality." I have a feeling that the KSP community will be giving players reasons to pick up and play the game for a long time to come. An early access game getting to 1.0 is actually a big deal, especially one with the scope that KSP has. At the very least, it's a big deal to us, as well as others who might be waiting for us to get to 1.0 before they consider playing the game.

As revealed by Maxmaps on today's Squadcast, here's your first look at a work in progress version of 0.25's brand new Administration Building.

Just noticed Kerbals have one eye smaller than the other!
Rowsdower replied to Kerolyov's topic in KSP1 Discussion
It seems that Kerbonaut tests didn't involve an optometrist. That explains a lot. -
Alright, alright. I'm closing this thread before we get too out of wack. The question's been answered and now the pajama ninjas are going a little...bananas.

People give them to you for making an informative and/or otherwise utterly enjoyable post. See the little star under your post? Click that and try giving some rep. EDIT: Ninja jammies? So is Sal.
