  1. It might just be me, but I'm fairly sure this discussion is actually just people making fun of what OP said or explaining the difficulties of coding. Also, just because people keep bumping a thread doesn't mean they're discussing. There are some troll threads - which I'm not saying this is one, by the way - that are so well-planned that they maintain a steady income of angry replies for hours without going anywhere except for giving a big supply of joy to OP until a moderator or higher locks it. By the way, what exactly do you mean by "Even worse, don't make a response like yours"? I'm not scrutinizing anyone here, I'm just saying that this thread isn't really going anywhere. Yes, it has some posts actually discussing things, but the bulk of the thread consists of people explaining repeteadly why the Kraken cannot be simply deleted to a seemingly ignorant user.
  2. Come on, everyone. This thread has lived far longer than it needed to, didn't it? It's obvious that OP either is trolling or lacks a lot of knowledge about coding, and either way, the message has been sent, over 50 times.
  3. I'm in the same predicament as SlimeCrusher; though my computer is x64, it only has 3,57 GB of RAM, so it's worthless.
  4. Finally, now I can use my Poodle-powered ships without others making fun of me. I'm not sure if I'm still going to use Rockomax more than Kerbodyne, though. Their parts are very unstable to me - they twist and bend easily, making the rocket go out of control unless it has a lot of struts. Kerbodyne's parts don't do that for me.
  5. That's sweet, KSP's getting more and more recognition as time passes. now let's just hope that we won't attract any unwanted attention.
  6. My spanish is very rusty, and if a probably-better spanish speaker alterady cannot hear it, then I'm pretty sure I won't be able to understand it as well.
  7. It was hilarious. But, did you give the trio the standard green 'alien' skin, or you gave them a normal, human-like skin color?
  8. Well, actually, it replaces the green Recover button.
  9. Except Eve and Laythe. They have two.
  10. I've done it once or twice... And yes, sometimes I also nearly type Mun instead of Moon. Fortunately, since my main language isn't english, it won't happen to me in real life.
  11. (Yes, I know Dumb Ways to Die is from 2012, but I don't care!) Run out of fuel in your ascent Forget your parachutes Attempt to fly Jebediah-style Fly under the rift in Minmus' north pole (Chorus) Dumb ways to die So many dumb ways to die Dumb ways to di-i-ie So many dumb ways to die Attempt to land on the Sun Believe Minmus is made of mint Use parachutes to land on the Mün Refuse to add struts to your 700-part vessel (Chorus) Dumb ways to die So many dumb ways to die Dumb ways to di-i-ie So many dumb ways to die Run out of oxygen Go overboard with HyperEdit Let Danny2462 control Forget to add a toilet to your pod (Chorus) Dumb ways to die So many dumb ways to die Dumb ways to di-i-ie So many dumb ways to die Think you can breathe on Laythe Overload your game with modifications Use the K-drive and summon the Kraken I wonder what's PhysWarp 4x? (Chorus) Dumb ways to die So many dumb ways to die Dumb ways to di-i-i-ie... So many dumb ways to die! Head to Eeloo without upgrading your Time Warp Underestimate Tylo's gravity power Attempt to land on Duna but crashland on Ike Overshoot your manuever node due to very high time warp Believe your computer can withstand Whackjob's vessels They may not rhyme but they're quite possibly! They're the dumbest ways to die Dumbest ways to die! Dumbest ways to di-i-i-ie... So many dumb... So many dumb... So many dumb ways to die! Be safe when playing Kerbal Space Program. It'd be nice if there was an actual video using these lyrics, though...
  12. Recently, I came with the idea of naming sites after famous users/people from Kerbal Space Program and around the space portal. The description, however, mostly isn't comical, and just gives detail about the landing.
  13. SOLUTION: Whenever you revert a flight(not quicksave), you're refunded only 80% of the money you spent on it.
  14. Heh, good job getting to the Mün. I still remember how badly I fared in my first time on KSP. I had the same problem as you - fuel.
  15. It looks sweet. I don't know why nobody else commented on it.
  16. Same reason as boa3532; I always liked space. And playing Kerbal Space Programâ„¢ makes me feel like I'm smarter than my demographic's intended intelligence levels... well, at least I look smarter than most of my peers, whose definition of 'fun' is to knock down and break chairs.
  17. Though I didn't discover KSP from him, he did play an important role in my pre-KSP period. After I discovered KSP, I began to watch his videos to get a clue about how KSP works. I remember when I first saw Jebediah - I immediatly thought he was from Kerbin's equivalent of Saudi Arabia.
  18. Okay... I was a Minecraft player back in 2012 through early 2013. The thing I loved to do the most in it was to screw around with mods. I came across a nifty mod called 'Galacticraft', which, as the name says, let you explore space. The thing about the mod that set it apart from other space mods was that you didn't simply build a portal - there was an actual rocket item that was actually capable of flying all the way to 3600 blocks of altitude from sea level, transporting you into a Space Travel GUI that let you select a planet or moon to explore, and then would send you into its' respective dimension. It's very incomplete at the time - you can only go to the Moon and to Mars so far, but it was fun while it lasted. The community in there was small, but active, and quite welcoming. It isn't all sunshine and rainbows - we had an issue with a kid who made some bad suggestions to the game, like to have a Space Dimension in which you actually had to fly to the actual planet, and another user there was quite agressive, often clashing against the kid and causing heated arguments - but it's better than most things the KSP community believes the Minecraft community to be. It was through them that I discovered Kerbal Space Program, as some of them often joked by replacing some terms of the mod with KSP ones(I remember a thread called "A couple of ideas for Eve... *ahem* I mean Venus", and the mod's creator shot down the kid's suggestion for real-time space flight by commenting about how KSP uses Time Warp which makes Multiplayer difficult). At first, I paid little mind to them, but after seeing enough KSP jokes, I thought "Argh, you know what? I'm going to check what this fuss is all about," and looked up Kerbal Space Program. Needless to say; I was instantly hooked. I was, however, frustrated, because at the time my computer lacked enough power to run KSP. Skip to a few months ahead, I got a new computer that still isn't perfect for KSP, but manages to bypass the bare minimum requirements, and downloaded the demo. I wanted more, and after some weeks I finally got the full game. I still remember how I struggled to make it to the Mün in the demo and tried to simply make my rocket bigger, resulting in large monstrosities that wouldn't leave the ground...
  19. Doesn't really work for me. I know this becasue I use 1024x576 all the time and my framerate is always low.
  20. I managed to find the problem: Apparently, setting the Terrain Detail to Low makes the ground very unstable to drive with rovers. Setting it to Medium fixes the problem. That seems like something Squad should address on the next update. It's unfair that people with very weak computers cannot drive rovers.
  21. I seem to be running into trouble when driving rovers. I am using a small rover with the RoveMax Model 2 wheels(the tiny ones) for Münar exploration. However, some areas around the Mün are extremely prone to make my rover pratically flip around and make it land on its back, making the mission impossible to complete. The problem is not that the rover is so light it flips when steering. When driving, one of the frontal wheels seem to "grab" the ground, and because the rover is moving, the rest of its body is tossed foward, which leads to the problem; flipped rovers. It's not even the first time I experienced this. When I was using the Alternis Kerbol mod, the same thing happened on Laythe with another rover, as it seemed to constantly "grab" the ground and flip itself, resulting in destroyed rovers. It also used the Ruggedized wheels, which had even more traction. If it's of any value, I am running the game in the lowest graphic settings possible. (I apologize if this is in the wrong section.)
