I have no idea why the Board of Education doesn't realize that science (and especially astronomy and astrophysics!) is just as essential as reading, writing, math, etc. I am so sick about learning "Motion and Forces" I could scream. 25% of the nation doesn't know the Earth orbits the Sun?! THAT is a problem.

That is so cool! Are you going to be making more?

Things you've caught yourself doing after a KSP binge
Thomas988 replied to kyle5432's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Some of the only things I'm good at drawing are related to KSP. -
This was the Valentines Day gift i recieved
Thomas988 replied to Orionkermin's topic in KSP Fan Works
Boy do I wish I was that good at clay! Oh well, great gift! -
Very cool! I'd love to see it once it gets assembled.

I aim for resource efficiency, structurally sound and well-operating spacecraft.
-
Three main problems for me: 1. I can't get the engines angled right to counteract the asymmetrical center of mass. 2. If these shuttles you speak of include operating cargo bays, then I'll have to add that I can't get those to work either. 3. Normal rockets are a lot easier to fly and build.

Need a place to brag; FIRST AIRCRAFT LANDING! :D
Thomas988 replied to Tassyr's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Nice job! It's always nice to see KSP'ers achieving big things. I'm not too great with planes, as most of mine crash in a horrifying explosion of death and misery, and sometimes I land safely in some random field. -
I love these! Could you photoshop my Minmus lander? I'll leave the background up to you. Thanks!

Very nice VTOLs!

2004: KSC launches first probes to Duna, Eve and Dres. 2087: First Kerbals set foot on Duna. Mission success, and they return to Kerbin as heroes. 2136: Three Kerbals on Eve, landing the first interplanetary SSTO. I'd write more, but I have school soon. :/

Mass Relay Delta-V Calculations
Thomas988 replied to Sargent890's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Ignore this reply. I accidently posted the wrong link. Sorry, can't help you. -
I pinned the launcher application to my taskbar so I don't have to go into Steam to play. Unfortunately, it doesn't count how many hours I've played.

Could Someone Explain to Me What "Resources" Are?
Thomas988 replied to Thomas988's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I see now. Thanks guys for helping! -
Sorry if this seems like a silly question, and perhaps it is, but what are these Resources I've been hearing people talk about lately? I do know some of it (or so I think), and that it was apparently some sort of planet-mining-thingy that Squad was going to add, but they postponed it or something. But besides that, I'm confused. The reason I ask this is because I've been hearing a little talk about it, and I'd like to know what Resources is so I can join in on the discussions.

I've come a long way since I began KSP. I didn't even know throttle was a thing! Though I've done what many newer-players would say is amazing, I still have a looooooong ways to go to be something spectacular. I've never gone interplanetary with my Kerbals (except when I mess around with hyperedit and cheats, but besides that I've never professionally, seriously left Kerbin with a living crew).

Poll: Kerbal Space Program's Mun Landers
Thomas988 replied to AncientAstronaut's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I said yes. Though I didn't have any Mun images, I did have a few Minmus snapshots to show: Touchdown. Leaving. Sorry, there's nothing to show that I returned safely. But trust me, everyone came home safe and sound, and with plenty of science. -
An ocean of lag...
Thomas988 replied to Pachi3080's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
My KSP is weird. Kerbin's oceans are pretty good. But for some reason Laythe and Eve make me lag like heck. Even from high orbit I still get low FPS. Devs, please make this a priority. -
I'm really sad that I joined in 0.20. I have no idea about games when they come out, and it was, well, years after when KSP was created when I heard about it in Nerd3's gameplay video. I feel like I experienced nothing in KSP's history. However, I was there to witness the last few weeks of the old space center, which is the only thing that make me feel like I got to be with the old KSP. Oh well. At least in a few years when 1.0 comes around I can say I was in 0.20. :/

The wonders of an alpha.
-
Hm, strange. Maybe I've encountered this before, but I don't remember any times like this.
-
I don't ever do the Spacecraft Exchange because I like to build my own spacecraft. But I do like to go on the fan-works forum and the Add-On Affair Showcases.
-
We got to let Squad take their time. The longer they develop 0.24, the better it will be. I think we can all agree we want contracts, money, etc. to be epic, so let's let them think every detail over. I personally felt 0.23 was a bit rushed. Great update, but I felt some things were added just for the heck of it.

That's deep, bro.
