    "[" and "]" buttons don't work? Because I EVA'd in high atmosphere a few times and switched between the plane & the Kerbal with no problem :-/ I also recall myself switching between hundreds of flying debris too, with the [ ] keys.

    1) I make a separate quicksave of every step of a mission: - DresSSTO1orbit - DresSSTO2atDres - DresSSTO3landed - DresSSTO4... etc. 2) I exit game with Alt+f4 . _ . it takes too long to exit to space center, then to menu, then to main menu...

    Yeah, with an off-road vehicle. Usually it means you're screwed and wait for help, but in my case a little bit back & forth & back & forth did the trick. Later all that mud dried up and became rock-hard, & guess who's supposed to wash it off >:-[ And to think that I used to love winter :-(
