SSTOs! Post your pictures here~
Overfloater replied to KissSh0t's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Hey... who wants a 191-parts, 2-man spaceplane with lots of delta-v (more then needed for a Laythe round trip)? It's pretty good. Craft file Don't panic when it starts pitching down to 35 degrees, you got plenty of jet fuel. Just do what the craft description says and you'll be fine. ---update--- video! apparently my plane can go to Laythe & Duna in one trip. -

Granted, but you're stuck in the middle of nowhere because your car broke. Towing service arrives a few hours before your vacation time is over. I wish music was my native language. -
Better SSTO Spaceplane Challenge (0.23.5+0.24) Fin!
Overfloater replied to Sirine's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
I stole so many of your techniques for this one... x-D tall landing gear; anti spin-out; separate jet & rocket fuel... If i built my cargo ships that way they would also consist of 1200+ parts! -
Better SSTO Spaceplane Challenge (0.23.5+0.24) Fin!
Overfloater replied to Sirine's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Not sure whether this should be considered an entry, but here's a single stage ship i made recently: Astro-Cruiser: 191 parts. May not be absolutely dummy-proof, but - those who know how to fly to Laythe and back will do more than fine, as this ship has outrageous amounts of delta-v. craft file I am going to make a video of it, but not before this challenge is over. My mobile connection is terrible and I'm not sure when i'm coming home. ========================= Update: video! Laythe & Duna in one trip. ========================= Update #2: it can also fly to Dres: ========================= Update #3: ...and Eeloo too: -

Install one of those technical-info mods, and check your lift rating. How do you dog? -

I don't mean to brag, but my new 191-part single stage 2-man ship, which has preposterous amounts of delta-v, is going to kick-ass(frame-rate-wise) :-) I'm also preparing my next Duna delivery: (...by multiple trips, of course!) -

I'm so tough, ... when waiting for KSP .24 release, I checked only once every 5 seconds if it's out! }:^] Welcome to the Salty Spitoon... How tough are you??

Yeah... let alone those who perform perfect sky-craning by just thrust vectoring. O_O -

Granted- I wish this was post #7347, and I had some french fries. -
The scoring system seems a bit messy - 10 points for "no mods & infiniglide", and also 10 points for "from solar orbit with no mods & infiniglide" shouldn't this option give more points? Anyway, I've done it already: I captured a C class in solar orbit, this way I'd need minimal amounts of fuel to redirect it... I used no mods, no cheat codes, and I didn't exploit infiniglide. Although I exploited other mechanics... x-) Also... shouldn't a challenge poster post his own entry 1st? :-S

We're O.K. I avoid it, and in return it avoids me :-) . . . 300'th post... YEEEAAAhhhh >:-O

Penguins don't meep! Unless they use cheat codes of-course...

Granted, but it flew away into deep space in a spaceplane (which you received along with it) and now it's lost forever! (you didn't say the bird has to know orbital mechanics...) I wish I had a pet penguin that meeps. -
I flew a couple of my non-air-hogging SSTOs:

Granted. I was forced to burn my hands because of your wish, so I immediately tried to put them out using your robe. It didn't work, and you got burned alive as well. I wish I had some salami right now. -
Oh yeah...? Sheep.

Not in .24 yet, but I've been fiddling with non-air-hogging SSTOs lately: -

Granted, but since you haven't mastered your new ability yet, you accidentally crushed one of your relatives and your dog (if you don't have one you can wish for it, so you can crush it with earth-bending later) I wish I could play video games (including KSP) in my mind. -
False. I landed, once, to test a lander+ascent craft. (it went well ;-)) The user below me will not give me 100 dollars.

Noooo...! :-O that wasn't an entry... :[ That was only an unrecorded(yay, high framerate) test flight with a dummy payload. But this on the other hand is an entry :^] Lowest part count I managed so far (695), and most flyable heavy-cargo ship ever: Astroliner VIII "Nova", 20t payload to Laythe and Astroliner VIII-C "Nova" 40t payload to Duna. Absolutely stock gameplay, no refueling & other silly stuff like that, every single movement is documented. 2nd one has bigger fuel capacity, and weights 179 tons at start. >.> <.< Do I get on of those Maximalist Records for that...?
