  1. Hey there friends, I got the urge to build more space warships, so I did. My goal was to determine if building sleek, good-looking warships was possible with the new Mk3 parts. The results are two warships that are about the size of small cruisers, but look like fighters. I'll let you be the judge on the sleek and good-looking part. On the left is the Star Angel, and on the right is the Trident. Star Angel -part count: 209 -crew: 4 -mass: 86.5 tons -powerplant: 2 x Rockomax "Mainsail" Liquid Engine & 1 x S3 KS-24x4 Engine Cluster (vertical takeoff/landing) -Armament: 18 x unguided rockets Trident -part count: 252 (308 w/ launch config.) -crew: 4 + 16 (non-essential personnel) -mass: 111.4 tons (144.9 w/ launch config.) -powerplant: 2 x Rockomax "Mainsail" Liquid Engine, 1 x Kerbodyne KR-2L Advanced Engine, & 5 x Rockomax Mark 55 RMLE -Armament: 2 x HKE Cannons w/ 5 high-mass starburst rounds each Below is a video showing the launch procedures and weapons operations of each fighter! As always, let me know what you think! Enjoy! GATOR -------------------------------------------------------- STAR ANGEL DOWNLOAD TRIDENT DOWNLOAD
  2. No, unfortunately it's from a few game versions ago and I don't hang on to the files. However, I was thinking it's about time to make a new and improved one...
  3. My favorite weapon I've made so far is the burst cannon on this thing:
  4. Thanks for your advice. However, this is not a thread meant to promote my creations, rather a resource for those who know what they're looking for.
  5. Hello all, It has been brought to my attention that none of my download links work anymore. Here is a list of every craft I've shared with working download links: Space Warships: (stock) Battleship Carrier Cruiser Carrier v2 Star Wars Craft: (B9 and Infernal Robotics) B-wing Lambda Shuttle Naboo Starfighter Pod Racer TIE Interceptor Y-Wing Misc. Craft: (stock) AH-3 Wasp (VTOL Gunship) B-25 (my first stock prop-driven creation) Cylon Raider Fighter Jet Floating Carrier V1 Floating Carrier V1 w/ Jets Floating Carrier V2 Flying Car AC-130 Gunship KSS Kraken (sailing ship) Sea Vixen Warbird (stock prop driven) Keep in mind that most of these craft are from older versions of the game, and may not work in the current version. Other than that, let me know if there are any problems! GATOR
  6. Ah, I didn't have to wait long! Well done indeed!
  7. I'm pretty sure the HG III had a conventional tail. The HG II has the V-tail
  8. Excellent! I can't wait to see it. But enough of this. Let's leave manni01 and his F-35 thread in peace
  9. Yea, there seems to be no point in arguing this further. I can only hope that someday the F-35 proves its worth to you. Also, I totally respect your opinion, eorin. In fact, I respect you in general, because you've put some amazing crafts on these forums! Perhaps that's why your comment surprised me enough to question you on it. But anyway, this conversation is finished, and I respect you none the less for it. Can't wait to see what you make next! My apologies, manni01. These probably are not the type of comments you wanted on your outstanding creation. Again, well done. And like eorin, I look forward to seeing what you make next!
  10. Cool. I'm a pilot. And a semester away from a degree in aerospace engineering. First, where are you getting your information? Second, I never said it was. I just said it's an amazing machine. Who told you that? You can't possibly know the extent of its capabilities because they're still classified. Also, you say 'we'. What's your nationality? just curious. Yea, that's because those are both also incredible jets. And have completely different mission sets than the F-35. Apples to oranges to bananas, man. Just out of curiosity, how many F-22 and/or Typhoon pilots have you talked to? That makes no sense. That's like saying Bugatti makes the worst cars because we don't really need them, and they are totally not worth all the money. Don't worry, I respect your opinion. I'm just trying to understand it, because it doesn't make much sense to me. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to call you ignorant in general. However, in this case, it seems as though your opinions are based in ignorance. I'm not trying to be an a**hole, just trying to understand your viewpoint.
  11. Never seen one of these on the forum before. Nice job!
  12. It does seem like that, doesn't it? But I guarantee you, it flies 100% perfectly 50% of the time! Why thank you! What an honor
  13. Worst plane ever made? How could you call this amazing feat of engineering the one of the worst planes ever made? I don't think you realize how incredibly difficult it is to build a working aircraft, much less a fighter jet, much less a multi-role fighter jet with three variants for three completely separate mission packages. And after all that, have it be more effective than the various single-purpose aircraft it's replacing! It's incredible! The level of technology and engineering that this thing's packing would make your brain ooze out your ears. As for the price, yea, I agree with you. It's ridiculously high. Too high? probably. Do we even need this aircraft? maybe. But that certainly doesn't make it the worst 'plane' ever made. And FYI, every F-35 pilot I've ever talked to has said that it's hands-down the most capable jet flying today. Very Respectfully, gGATORr ------------------------------------------------------------------- ignorance is annoying - - - Updated - - - Oh, and by the way, nice replica manni01! I like how you kept it simple where you could, but didn't give up on the details either. Well done!
  14. Here's a small one I whipped up for you. Decided to go with a fat, unconventional design. 'Cause regular old seaplane and flying boat designs are too easy:P Anyway, I call it the Guppy.
  15. Wish I would've seen this thread earlier! I love messing around with seaplanes. Here are two pretty successful ones that I built: Just a standard flying-boat type. Cargo seaplane with functioning rear hatch, ect.
  16. Of all my stock creations, my favorite is still the burst cannon on my VTOL gunship: However, my most popular creation is by far the floating aircraft carrier:
  17. That it does. However, your carrier is quite impressive!
  18. I actually tried that! Surprisingly not as effective as a prop. But perhaps it was just the way I set it up. And the max cruising speed is close to 30 m/s I believe Short answer: no Long answer: I like playing stock because it presents a great challenge trying to create something the parts weren't intended for. Using a mod that gives you those things for free takes the fun out of it and results in a much less impressive (in my eyes) craft. Not bashing mods, just letting you know why I don't use them.
  19. Dude, I'm so jealous right now. That does look great! How badly unbalanced is the thrust?
  20. Thank you both! Glad you like it!
  21. Start from scratch. I'm more of a creator than a tweaker. I'd rather build something new than improve something I've already built. Oh, and 889 (including all the launch clamps) Let the arms race begin! (unfortunately, my computer will melt if I even think about building anything bigger) Yea, I'm pretty sure my computer would explode haha. And its 889 parts. I'd say close to 100 of those are launch clamps though. You can see the crazy number of them in one of the pictures in the album
  22. It had to be to keep the engines remotely proportional
  23. Roger that, download link in the original post. Maybe this carrier could carry your carrier!
