  1. Haha thanks man! I'd like to see your viper if you could post a pic!
  2. Thanks for the positive feedback everybody! The download link is now in the Youtube video description. You, sir, are correct! And that's a pretty formidable looking flying machine you've got there! A head-to-head fight would be sweet. Thanks! Unfortunately, I have very little experience with spacecraft or SSTOs. I stick to atmospheric stuff mostly. However, if you or this Cupcake fellow would like to modify this design, be my guest. That goes for everybody. I would love to see you guys upgrade and modify this bad boy! Make sure to post any cool modifications you come up with!
  3. Introducing the AH-3 Wasp, a VTOL close air support platform. Features include: - Twin KPL-5 burst cannons w/ 64 rounds of high kinetic energy projectiles These beasts can be configured to portion out the perfect amount of destruction for your needs. Blast your foes for hours with 2-round bursts or spew all 64 rounds of pure annihilation in one go. (default shown in video is 32 round bursts, allowing for two 'shots') When used with the gunner's sights, this weapon becomes extremely deadly. - 2 x Mk IV Sunburst missiles Standard stock missiles. Nothing too fancy here. Use probe cores and RCS to track straight when fired. For use when you need a slightly bigger boom. - 4 x AIR-3 medium-range anti-personel rockets Fired from a port on top of the ship, these high-arcing rockets will sow mayhem up to 1km in front of you. Alternatively, flip upside-down and blast the SOBs directly underneath of you. - Advanced gunner targeting system These gunner sights are deadly accurate when used with the KPL-5 cannons, and fairly accurate with Sunburst missiles at close range. Warranty void if used to try to aim AIR-3 rockets. - Emergency/Hot insert landing system Ok, so this is really just a lot of parachutes. But it looks really cool and is fun as hell. Useful if you don't have the patience (skill) to land conventionally. - Extreme agility LOTS of reaction wheels. 100% stock. Asking price is $500,000. Will not sell to hooligans. Every purchase enters you for a chance to win a all-costs-paid vacation to the island airstrip. gGATORr

  5. After searching and searching, I have not been able to find anyone who has made a Cylon Raider in KSP. Tons of Vipers, but no Cylons. So I made one. It's no masterpiece by any means, but hopefully this will inspire someone to make a truly incredible replica. And just to be even, I threw a Viper Mk II together and put it in as well:P Made 100% stock and flown with no cheats/hacks. Hope you enjoy! gGATORr
  6. When building crafts that have engines that aren't always in use (i.e. a hovercraft with downward facing engines as well as engines to propel it forward), it's difficult to align CG and CT (center of thrust) correctly due to the aforementioned engines figuring into the CT calculation. It would be nice to have the ability to 'toggle' whether an engine is included in the CT calculation.
  7. Wow, dejavu! I literally just made a biplane with almost the exact same design yesterday! Only difference is your cockpit is legit AF, while mine is just a standard Mk2. And I used the rovemax model M1 wheels for more of a classic look. But anyway, well done! A true piece of art!
  8. hmm, I'll have to go back and replace all my RCS and see how it works. thanks for the advice.
  9. I also love the Vampire! And here's a Sea Vixen for you! Built it just the other day. Entirely stock, but pretty recognizable I think.
  10. Thanks guys! I used landing gear wheels as alignment bearings to accomplish the rotational component. The rotating shaft and blades are disconnected from the main craft, but held in place by the wheels. And as for more SAS, I wholeheartedly agree. However, I'm almost at the critical weight. That brings up a question: With respect to torque/weight, which do you think is better: RCS or SAS?
  11. Never heard of it. I'm assuming it features the Sea Vixen?
  12. My goal was to make a realistic looking stock helicopter. Let me know what you think!
  13. Here's a quick mock-up I made of de Havilland's Sea Vixen jet fighter. It flies surprisingly well! 100% stock. Craft file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/oza33h8mmlu1cqe/Sea%20Vixen.craft
  14. yes, well as the construction of this particular aircraft was overseen by Wernher Von Kerman, one can't really be surprised... But anyway, thank you! That thing really was fun to fly. I'm gonna miss it;.;
  15. I must say, I am in awe. Not only from that amazingly constructed pod racer, but also from your Mr. Roboto creation. Well done, sir!
  16. Not only can this airplane land on water, but it can turn on a dime, practically hover, and even fly backwards. Watch the whole video; the real crazy stuff happens toward the end! Mods used: -B9 Aerospace -Infernal Robotics Unfortunately, my KSP stopped working shortly after I recorded this, and when I re-installed, my files went missing. So I can not provide a craft file. This video is the only testament to this plane's glory;.; Anyway, I hope you all enjoy it, and thanks for checking it out! GATOR
  17. Very cool, Rune! The Slave 1 never even crossed my mind, but it definitely seems like a worthy challenge to build! It will most likely be in my next wave of ships...
  18. Thanks everyone! Elthy: yes, the B-wing was difficult because the CG and center of lift had to be matched in two planes instead of one. The lambda shuttle wasn't quite as bad. A little bit of tactically placed weight and a healthy reliance on RCS go a long way:wink: Azref: the links are up now. As for the x-wing, I've seen a lot of people make both that (albeit w/out moving s-foils) and the TIE fighter, so I stayed away from them. However, I might have to make one now to round out my collection...
  19. These are not meant to be replicas, just proof-of-concept Star Wars craft in Kerbal Space Program. No cheats or hacks are used; these are legitimately flying aircraft. Mods used: B9 Aerospace Infernal Robotics. Let me know what you think, and I hope you all enjoy! Cheers, gGATORr Edit: I would love for someone with more aesthetic detailing skill than me (zero) to make these look legit. Here are the craft files. -B-wing: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8qfb1gcgrqdh8vu/B-wing%20Mk%20II.craft -Lambda Shuttle: https://www.dropbox.com/s/x1vgwi6ykslrkyw/Lambda%20Shuttle.craft -Naboo Starfighter: https://www.dropbox.com/s/swx4u7l3cq855gb/Naboo%20Starfighter.craft -Pod Racer: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qab3fhx4hjsp0lv/Pod%20Racer.craft -TIE Interceptor: https://www.dropbox.com/s/bkbeyijx6afscbe/TIE%20Interceptor.craft -Y-wing: https://www.dropbox.com/s/tncdsncytllcm9n/y-wing.craft Let me know if you're having any trouble accessing them. (this is the first time I've ever shared a craft file) Enjoy!
  20. I feel like I'm not the only one with a LOT of saved ships in my 'load' list. I think it would be helpful to be able to create files to put related craft into to make searching easier. Would be especially useful for multiple iterations of the same ship (Mk I, Mk II, etc.).
  21. I'd love to see some more wing parts, but, even more than that, small jet engines. Hell, larger ones too. Why not? But a 0.625 jet engine would be quite handy!
  22. Here's an idea for career mode: The player could start off with a relatively small, low-grade facility (i.e. the island airstrip). As he/she earns money and/or science, they have the option to upgrade their facilities, build new buildings, or purchase a new space center altogether. Space centers at various locations around Kerbin could be available for purchase, even possibly including orbital space centers and space centers on other planets. (sorry, i know this kind of ties to the subject on the 'what not to suggest' list) Additionally, when starting on the island airstrip, the player would only have access to a Space Plane Hangar with basic plane parts, so they would have to start with atmospheric flights in order to gain money/science (kind of like real life!) until they could build a launchpad and VAB or purchase a new facility and research rocket parts. Please let me know what you think!
